A number of breakout sessions can build your training expertise while you re there: E-Learning: The Future Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland and Rotary staff have developed several e-learning courses through a successful partnership they began in 2014. Find out about this exciting project and learn how to make the most of Rotary s Learning Center. We will use case studies (including the Assistant Governor and New Club Formation courses) to explore how these courses complement regional and national training. Becoming a Better Storyteller Join Rotary storytelling experts as they give tips for using stories to make your next presentation more memorable. Be prepared to discuss at least one Rotary story with a small group during this interactive workshop. Speaking in Rotary s Voice Rotarians are looking for guidance on how to talk about Rotary to current members, prospective members, donors, and potential partners. If all members spoke in one voice, we would have a stronger, more unified message and story. Together, let s learn to speak and write about Rotary with more consistency, clarity, and confidence. Rotary Business School: Cross-Cultural Communication Technology and globalization are expanding rapidly and create new opportunities to work on cross-cultural teams in our daily work. Council on Legislation updates Bollettino n. 34 del 16 maggio 2016 The 2016 Council on Legislation recently concluded in Chicago after representatives considered hundreds of proposed changes to the organization s practices and policies. Adopted changes take effect 1 July. This year s Council approved many changes to membership and meeting requirements. Review these changes and adjust your member training to reflect the new policies. Watch for a webinar on the changes, too. June is Rotary Fellowships Month Get members involved in Rotary beyond their clubs and across national boundaries by observing Rotary Fellowships Month in June. Members who are interested in vocational service, recreational activities, or visiting Rotarians around the world can connect through programs like Rotary Fellowships and Rotary Friendship Exchange. Get connected to help your club establish a twin-club relationship or find a partner for a service project.
