However, I will start by the General Assembly last night. We had 9 parents present and in schools I am proud to say that this is a very healthy sign. However, this is a gentle reminder to all parents to please keep us posted and informed about any issues or concerns that you may have as the door is always open. Erano presenti 9 genitori della scuola e posso affermare con orgoglio che questo sia un segnale estremamente positivo. Tuttavia, questo è un invito rivolto a tutti i genitori di tenerci aggiornati ed informati su eventuali problemi o dubbi che si possono avere, essendo la

2 nostra porta sempre aperta. Cordiali Saluti Samer Khoury COLLEGE FAIR TONIGHT 5:00 pm This evening we celebrate our 5th Annual College Fair. This year we expect 21 colleges and universities to be present at ISG and we are looking forward to hosting over 80 students to meet with the college representatives. Questa sera celebriamo la quinta edizione del nostro College Fair Annuale. Quest'anno accoglieremo e presenteremo 21 college ed università e non vediamo l'ora di ospitare più di 80 studenti che incontreremo con i rappresentanti degli istituti universitari. Registration for PARENT CONFERENCES opens Monday 9 November, 2015 The system to register for parent conferences will open this coming Monday. Please go in and register. I am sending this message here on purpose as I would like to make sure that everyone is receiving an reminder through the system to register for conferences. If you read this message and you have not received an , please contact the school and we will makes sure you are registered. BOOK FAIR Monday, 9 November 2015 This is also the first day of the BOOK FAIR. The annual fall Book Fair will be on Monday 9th and Tuesday 10th all day. Lunedì 9 novembre sarà il primo giorno della Fiera del libro. La Fiera del libro autunnale si svolgerà lunedì 9 e martedì 10 novembre per tutto il giorno. Early Release day Friday 13th November 2015 Next Friday is an early release day and students will go home at 12:30. Cairo Car has been informed. Venerdì prossimo ci sarà uscita anticipata e gli studenti andranno a casa alle 12:30. Cairo Car è stato informato. ISG LEARNING SUMMIT Saturday, November 14th, 2015 Differentiation and Inclusion Over the last four years we at ISG have been targeting specifically differentiation and inclusion. Two extremely very important, scientifically researched approaches to learning and teaching. (Cutting edge, if you like). Our resources are based on the work of many academicians such as Arthur Costa and Robert Garmston among others. Over the last four years we have worked with our staff on the following: 1. Cognitive Coaching 2. Assessment

4 3. Differentiation in the classroom This year specifically is our fourth year and we are designing a program that meets the needs of our school. As such we are looking at: 1. Differentiating assessment instruments 2. Defining learning at an exceptional school. Defining learning at ISG will be the leading document after our mission statement and values that will be the guide over the next few years. Differenziazione ed Integrazione Negli ultimi quattro anni in ISG abbiamo lavorato con particolaren attenzione sulla differenziazione e sull inclusione. Due approcci estremamente importanti, dal punto di vista del metodo di apprendimento e di insegnamento. Le nostre risorse sono basate sul lavoro di molti accademici, come Arthur Costa e Robert Garmston tra gli altri. Negli ultimi quattro anni abbiamo lavorato con il nostro staff su quanto segue: 1. Coaching Cognitivo 2. Valutazione 3. La differenziazione in aula Quest'anno è esattamente il nostro quarto anno e stiamo lavorando su un programma che soddisfi le esigenze della nostra scuola. Portiamo avanti il nostro intento: 1. Differenziando strumenti di valutazione 2. Definendo l apprendimento in una scuola eccezionale. Lo scopo sara quello di definire un documento sulla

5 definizione di apprendimento presso l ISG. Questo sara il documento piu importante dopo la nostra missione e i valori in esso contenuti saranno la nostra guida per i prossimi anni.
