Si tratta di alimentatori di nuova concezione, che permettono di ridurre la rumorosita` totale del sistema pur mantenendo la totale efficienza. A few days ago we have received from Seasonic their new models of switching power supplies, SS-200SFD Active PFC, SS- 250EPS1U Active PFC and SS-300FS Active PFC. They're new generation power supplies, with new conception technologies that allow, among the other things, to reduce the overall system noise. Nel grafico possiamo vedere il diagramma relativo al controllo termico della ventola dell'alimentatore: negli alimentatori tradizionali la pendenza della curva carico del sistema/velocita` della ventola (e rumorosita` della ventola) e` costante, in quelli piu` nuovi la curva e` di tipo esponenziale, mentre negli alimentatori Seasonic si mantiene costante fino ad un livello critico, per poi aumentare progressivamente. Questo si traduce in una complessiva riduzione del rumore generato a qualsiasi condizione di carico. Un valore piu` alto rappresenta un uso piu` efficace della potenza elettrica, mentre un valore basso rappresenta bassa efficienza.
