2 Find Your Best Solution Dry-Head and Intelligent Direct-Drive Innovation JUKI will exhibit the latest industrial sewing machines (70 machines, new models 70%) at the IMB2003 held in cologne from May 6 10, 2003 with the theme of Find Your Best Solution, Dry-Head and Intelligent Direct-Drive Innovation. With the onset of the 21st century, globalization of the apparel production has become more and more accelerated and we are facing a variety of issues in the apparel industry. JUKI is focusing on these issues and will improve customer service including hardware and software. JUKI will display its products in the space of 800m 2.

3 JUKI strongly promotes the development of the dry-head and intelligent direct-drive sewing machines. JUKI has serialized direct-drive sewing machines by integrating the highest grade mechanical and electronic technology in the industrial sewing machine industry. In addition, we are now pressing on with the promotion of the most-advanced industrial sewing machines that meet the needs of the new generation apparel industry, including the serialization of the dry-head machines and the second-generation intelligent direct-drive machines, making the best out of information technology. Those latest industrial sewing machines are displayed at our booth. JUKI offers a broader range of software and customer service activities. We are offering complete services such as the evaluation of sewing plants and offering of guidance, and conducting seminars in production management, and designing plants. The machines here sew with increased flexibility and an improved response to different fabrics. KNITWEAR This section introduces JUKI s machines for knits, including the MO-6900 Series a highly advanced super-high-speed overlock machine that further enhances both quality and productivity. JEANS This section introduces JUKI s latest automatic machines for the sewing of jeans and casual pants. The machine here were developed through thorough analysis and study of the relevant sewing processes. FOUNDATION This section introduces JUKI s line of advanced sewing machines best suited to the sewing of foundation wear and lingerie. Most of the machine shown here are of the dry-head type and all of them ensure upgraded seam quality. LHD This section introduces JUKI s application specific sewing machines for heavyweight materials for car seats, furniture, bags and leather goods.
