1 Hard Disk Kit HARD DISK KIT You can fit an ATA 2.5 hard disk drive into your PA80. Please contact your KORG dealer for a list of compatible drives. Warning: Install the hard disk drive at your own risk. KORG will not be held responsible for any damage or injury resulting from its improper installation or use. Before beginning the installation, be sure you have all the following parts: Unscrew the four screws (C) to remove the plate (D) and gain access to the slot inside the instrument. 2. After removing the plate (D), locate the (F) and (G) supports, and remove their four fixing screws (E). Then extract the supports from the instrument. Disconnect the instrument from the power plug, then turn it upside down, and locate the HDD slot. 3. Fix the (F) and (G) supports to the hard disk drive (B) using the four M3x5 screws (A). Position the hard disk drive as shown in the following diagram. Locate the pin #1 on the hard disk connector; usually, it is

2 23-2 Hard Disk Kit marked with a 1 or an arrow. If there is no indication for the pin #1, please refer to the diagram. positions using the four screws (E). Fix the plate (D) at the original position using the four screws (C). 4. Slide away the cable (H) from under the floppy disk drive screen. After repositioning the other cables under the screen, connect it to the hard disk drive, lining its pin #1 with pin #1 on the hard disk connector. The cable conductor corresponding to the pin #1 is marked in red. Formatting the hard disk When the installation is finished, connect the power plug and turn the instrument on. You must format the hard disk before using it. 1. Press DISK to access the Disk environment. 2. Select the Format page. Disk:Format Floppy disk Hard disk -- FORMAT Fit the assembled hard disk drive into the instrument, and place the (F) and (G) supports to their original 3. Move the Hard disk option to the first line of the display. 4. Press F2 (Format) to confirm formatting. 5. The Delete all data? message appears on the display; press ENTER to confirm, EXIT to abort. 6. The Please press F4 to continue message appears on the display; press F4 to confirm, EXIT to abort.

3 Kit disque dur KIT DISQUE DUR Vous pouvez installer un disque dur ATA 2.5 dans votre PA80. Demandez à votre revendeur KORG quels sont les équipements et les logiciels compatibles. Attention: Installation du disque dur s effectue à vos propres risques et périls. KORG décline toute responsabilité envers des dommages ou des blessures dérivant d une installation ou d un usage incorrects. Avant de commencer l installation, déconnecter le PA80 de la prise secteur et vérifier d avoir tout le matériel suivant: vis de fixation dont ils sont dotés. Maintenant, enlevez les supports et les extraire de l instrument. 3. Fixez les supports (F) et (G) sur le disque dur (B) à l aide des quatre vis M3x5 (A). Positionnez le disque dur tel qu illustré dans la figure suivante. Identifiez la position de la broche #1 sur la borne du disque dur ; généralement, elle est identifiée par le symbole 1 ou par une flèche. Si aucune indication n est présente pour la broche #1, voir la figure. A Vis M3 5 (ISO 7048-M3x5-4.8-H1) B Disque dur Note: Munissez-vous d un tournevis à croix pour l assemblage. 1. Tournez l instrument et identifiez la fente HDD. Dévissez les quatre vis (C) pour enlever le couvercle (D) et accéder ainsi à l intérieur de l instrument. 4. Faites glisser le câble (H) qui se trouve sous la disquette sous l écran. Après avoir repositionné les autres câbles sous l écran, connectez ledit câble (H) au disque dur en reliant sa broche #1 à la broche #1 2. Après avoir enlevé le couvercle (D), identifiez la position des supports (F) et (G) et enlevez (E) les quatre

4 23-2 Kit disque dur de la borne du disque dur. Le câble correspondant à la broche #1 est de couleur rouge. Formater le disque dur Lorsque l'installation est terminée, connecter le câble et mettre l'instrument sous tension. Il faut formater le disque dur avant de l'utiliser. 1. Appuyez sur DISK et sur les boutons MENU ou PAGE pour afficher cette page. Disk:Format 5. Installez le disque dur ainsi assemblé dans l instrument et replacez les supports (F) et (G) dans leur position originale en vissant les quatre vis (E). A l aide des quatre vis (C), fixez le couvercle (D). Floppy disk Hard disk -- FORMAT Positionnez l option Hard disk sur la première ligne de l écran. 3. Appuyez sur F2 (Formater) pour confirmer le formatage. 4. Le message Delete all data? (Effacer toutes les données?) est affiché à l écran; appuyez sur ENTER pour confirmer ou sur EXIT pour quitter. 5. Le message Please press F4 to continue (S.V.P. appuyez sur F4) est affiché à l écran; appuyez sur F4 pour confirmer ou sur EXIT pour quitter.

5 Festplatten-Einbausatz FESTPLATTEN-EINBAUSATZ Sie können ein ATA 2.5 Festplattenlaufwerk in Ihr PA80 einbauen. Eine Liste der kompatiblen Laufwerke kann Ihnen Ihr KORG Händler liefern. Warnung: Die Installation des Festplattenlaufwerks erfolgt auf eigene Gefahr. KORG haftet nicht für Schäden oder Verletzungen aufgrund unsachgemäßer Installation oder fehlerhaften Gebrauchs. Vor Beginn der Installation ist sicherzustellen, dass folgende Teile vorhanden sind: Befestigungsschrauben (E). Ziehen Sie dann die Halterungen aus dem Instrument heraus. A M3 5 (ISO 7048-M3x5-4.8-H1) Schrauben B Festplattenlaufwerk Ankmerkung: Für den Zusammenbau benötigen Sie einen Kreuzschlitzschraubenzieher. 1. Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker des Instrumens heraus, drehen Sie die Unterseite nach oben und suchen Sie den Festplattensteckplatz auf. Entfernen Sie die vier Schrauben (C), um die Platte (D) herausnehmen und Zugang zum Steckplatz im Innern des Instruments zu erhalten. 3. Befestigen Sie die Halterungen (F) und (G) unter Verwendung der vier Schrauben M3x5 (A) im Festplattenlaufwerk (B). Positionieren Sie das Festplattenlaufwerk wie nachfolgend gezeigt. Suchen Sie Pin #1 auf dem Festplattenstecker auf (normalerweise ist dieser mit 1 oder mit einem Pfeil markiert). Wenn Sie Pin #1 nicht anhand der Bezeichnung finden können, nehmen Sie bitte die untenstehende Zeichnung zu Hilfe. 4. Schieben Sie das Kabel (H) unter das Diskettenlaufwerks. Nach Unterbringen der übrigen Kabel unter dem Bildschirm verbinden Sie diesen mit dem Festplattenlaufwerk durch Anschluss von Pin #1 an Pin 2. Nach Entfernen der Platte (D), suchen Sie die Halterungen (F) und (G) auf und entfernen Sie deren vier

6 23-2 Festplatten-Einbausatz Hard disk Formatieren #1 des Festplattensteckers. Der dem Pin #1 entsprechende Kabelverbinder ist rot markiert. HARD DISK FORMATIEREN Die Festplatte muss nach der Installation oder zum Löschen aller darauf enthaltenen Daten formatiert werden. 1. Drücken Sie DISK und benutzen Sie die MENU oder PAGE Taster, um diese Seite anzusteuern. Disk:Format 5. Montieren Sie das zusammengebaute Festplattenlaufwerk im Instrument und befestigen Sie die Halterungen (F) und (G) wieder in ihrer ursprünglichen Position. Benutzen Sie hierzu die vier Schrauben (E). Befestigen Sie die Platte (D) mit Hilfe der vier Schrauben (C) in ihrer ursprünglichen Position. Floppy disk Hard disk -- FORMAT Bewegen Sie die Option Hard disk in die erste Displayzeile. 3. Drücken Sie F2 (Format), um den Formatiervorgang zu bestätigen 4. Die Meldung Delete all data? erscheint auf dem Display. Drücken Sie ENTER zur Bestätigung oder EXIT, um den Vorgang abzubrechen. 5. Die Meldung Please press F4 to continue erscheint auf dem Display. Drücken Sie F4 zur Bestätigung oder EXIT, um den Vorgang abzubrechen.

Prima di iniziare l installazione, assicuratevi di essere in possesso delle seguenti parti: quattro viti di fissaggio (E) in modo da poterli estrarre dallo strumento. Poi estraete i supporti dallo sturmento. A Viti M3 5 (ISO 7048-M3x5-4.8-H1) B Hard disk drive Nota: Per l assemblaggio è richiesto anche un cacciavite con la punta a croce. 1. Scollegate lo strumento dalla presa di corrente, poi rovesciatelo in modo da poter visualizzare l alloggio riservato all opzione HDD; svitate le quattro viti (C) per rimuovere il piastrino (D) ed accedere all interno dello strumento. 3. Fissate i supporti (F) e (G) all hard disk (B) tramite le 4 viti M3x5 (A), rivolgendo il lato dell hard disk con il connettore nel verso indicato dallo schema. Individuate, nel connettore dell hard disk, il piedino n 1, tenendo conto che nella maggioranza dei dispositivi esso viene contrassegnato con il n 1 o con una freccia. Se non è presente nessun contrassegno, riferitevi allo schema per individuare il piedino n Dopo aver rimosso il piastrino, individuate i due supporti (F) e (G) e procedete alla rimozione delle loro 4. Sfilate il cavo (H) da sotto lo schermo in pellicola metallizzata del floppy disk drive. Dopo aver riposizionato gli altri cavi sotto lo schermo, collegatelo all hard disk, allineando il piedino n 1 del cavo con il piedino n 1 del connettore dell hard disk. Il condut-

Formattazione dell hard disk Al termine dell installazione, occorre ricollegare il cavo di alimentazione e riaccendere lo strumento. L hard disk va formattato prima dell uso. 1. Premete DISK per accedere all ambiente Disk. 2. Selezionate la pagina Format. Disk:Format 5. Inserite l hard disk così assemblato all interno dello strumento, ed avvitate i supporti nella loro sede originale tramite le quattro viti (E) tolte in precedenza. Concludete l installazione richiudendo lo strumento con il piastrino (D) e le quattro viti (C). Floppy disk Hard disk -- FORMAT Portate l opzione Hard disk nella prima riga del display. 4. Premete F2 (Format) per confermare la formattazione. 5. Appare il messaggio Delete all data? ; premete ENTER per confermare, o EXIT per annullare. 6. Appare il messaggio Please press F4 to continue ; premete F4 per confermare, o EXIT per annullare.
