1 Le regioni alle prese con la creatività Scambio di buone pratiche ed esperienze nel settore delle industrie creative Reggio Emilia, 29 Ottobre 2009 Aula Magna dell Università di Modena e Reggio Emilia L evento organizzato nell ambito degli Open Days - Settimana Europea delle Regioni e delle Città - fa seguito al seminario Be creative: Creative Industry for restoring growth in Europe s Regions tenutosi a Bruxelles lo scorso 7 ottobre ed incentrato sul ruolo chiave che le industrie creative svolgono nel promuovere l occupazione e la crescita economica. Mentre la prima iniziativa ha permesso di disseminare l esperienza della Regione Emilia-Romagna a livello Europeo, l evento intende portare l Unione europea nel contesto locale mostrando in maniera concreta l esperienza sul campo della Regione Emilia Romagna nell ambito delle industrie creative. Il programma della conferenza è dedicato ad argomenti importanti per il futuro dell Unione europea e delle sue regioni. In particolare, la discussione sarà incentrata sulle sfide che le regioni europee devono affrontare per rispondere alla crisi globale, dato il ruolo cardine che governi regionali e locali svolgo nello stimolare il potenziale dei loro territori. L industria creativa è considerata un eccellenza tra i cluster emergenti del sistema produttivo della Regione Emilia-Romagna, ed in particolare della provincia, ed un settore innovativo in crescita importante per lo sviluppo dell economia del territorio così come per la sua competitività. Il programma dell evento prevede tre sessioni che vedranno la partecipazione di rappresentanti delle Istituzioni europee, delle autorità locali e delle regioni europee, i quali avranno l opportunità di dibattere, confrontare e condividere esperienze e migliori pratiche. Questa iniziativa è organizzata nell ambito degli Open Days 2009 e dell Anno Europeo della Creatività e l Innovazione.

4 Regions grasping creativity Exchange of best practices and experiences in the field of creative industry 29 th October 2009, Reggio Emilia University of Modena and Reggio-Emilia The event, organized in the framework of the Open Days Week of European Regions and Citiesfollows the workshop Be Creative: Creative Industry for restoring growth in Europe s Regions, held in Brussels and focused on the key role that creative industry can play in promoting employment and economic growth. While the previous initiative has permitted to spread Emilia-Romagna experiences at a European level, the event to be held in Reggio Emilia aims at bringing the European Union in the local context showing, at the same time, in a concrete way Emilia-Romagna on the ground experience in the field of creative industry. The program of the conference features topics which are important for the future of the European Union and its regions. Above all, the discussion deals with the challenges that European regions have to face to tackle the global crisis and with the pivot role that regional and local governments play in stimulating the potentiality of the territories. Creative industry is considered an excellence among the emerging clusters of Emilia-Romagna productive system, and in particular of Reggio-Emilia province, and a growing innovative sector important for the future development of the economy of the territory, as well as for its competitiveness. The program of the event will include three panels in which different stakeholders, from the European institutions, the local authorities and other European regions, will have the opportunity of debating, sharing and comparing experiences and best practices. This initiative is organised within the framework of the Open Days 2009 local events and the "European Year of Creativity and Innovation".
