3 Sistema stirante Italiano SIMBOLI Il triangolo che riporta il punto esclamativo indica all utilizzatore che ci sono da leggere importanti operazioni e istruzioni di cura nella documentazione che accompagna il prodotto. Il triangolo che riporta il fulmine serve ad indicare all utilizzatore la presenza di tensione pericolosa all interno dell apparecchio, di entità tale da rappresentare un potenziale pericolo di scarica elettrica. Classe I : La spina dell apparecchio è provvista del polo per la messa a terra. Usarla solo con prese provviste di messa a terra. Il bidone barrato indica che il prodotto risponde ai requisiti richiesti dalle nuove direttive introdotte a tutela dell ambiente (2002/96/EC, 2003/108/EC, 2002/95/EC) e che deve essere smaltito in modo appropriato al termine del suo ciclo di vita. Chiedere informazioni alle autorità locali in merito alle zone dedicate allo smaltimento dei rifiuti. Chi non smaltisce il prodotto seguendo quanto indicato in questo paragrafo ne risponde secondo le norme vigenti. AVVERTENZE GENERALI Il sistema stirante dovrà essere destinato solo all'uso per il quale è stato espressamente indicato in questo libretto di istruzioni. Ogni altro uso è da considerarsi improprio e quindi pericoloso. Il costruttore non può essere considerato responsabile per eventuali danni derivati da usi impropri, erronei ed irragionevoli. Dopo aver tolto l'imballaggio assicurarsi dell'integrità di ogni parte. In caso di dubbio non utilizzare il sistema stirante e rivolgersi a personale professionalmente qualificato. Gli elementi dell'imballaggio (sacchetti in plastica, polistirolo espanso ecc.) non devono essere lasciati alla portata dei bambini, in quanto potenziali fonti di pericolo. In caso di incompatibilità tra la presa e la spina fare sostituire la presa con altra di tipo adatto da personale professionalmente qualificato. Quest'ultimo, in particolare, dovrà anche accertare che la sezione dei cavi della presa sia idonea alla potenza assorbita. In generale è sconsigliabile l uso di adattatori, prese multiple e/o prolunghe. Prima di collegare la spina accertarsi che i dati di targa siano compatibili con quelli della distribuzione elettrica. L'installazione deve essere effettuata secondo le istruzioni del costruttore. Il costruttore declina ogni responsabilità per eventuali danni a cose o persone derivanti dalla mancata osservazione di queste avvertenze. In caso di danneggiamento di parti che compromettano il normale funzionamento, come danni al cavo, alla spina, ai tubi o cortocircuiti, non utilizzare il sistema stirante e provvedere tempestivamente alla riparazione rivolgendosi esclusivamente ai centri autorizzati. Non lasciare esposto il sistema stirante ad agenti atmosferici (pioggia, gelo, umidità eccessiva, ecc.). Conservarlo in luoghi asciutti. Non permettere l utilizzo a bambini o ad incapaci, senza sorveglianza. Non utilizzate il sistema stirante con mani bagnate o piedi nudi. Non utilizzare vicino a lavandini, vasche da bagno o vicino a sorgenti d acqua. Non immergere l apparecchio e/o il cavo in acqua o in altri liquidi. Se il sistema dovesse cadere in acqua, spegnerlo immediatamente e rivolgersi ad un centro assistenza. SOLO PER USO INTERNO. NON PER USO COMMERCIALE. Prima di effettuare qualsiasi operazione di pulizia, leggere il paragrafo appositamente descritto in questo libretto di istruzioni. Non tirare il cavo per staccare la spina. Non spostare l apparecchio tenendolo per il cavo elettrico. Posizionare il cavo lontano da parti taglienti e da fonti di calore Non utilizzare il sistema stirante come unità di riscaldamento. Non lavare in lavastoviglie. Non lasciare l apparecchio incustodito quando è in funzione. Non lasciare il ferro incustodito, scollegare la spina elettrica durante le pause di lavoro. E prima di ogni operazione di pulizia. ATTENZIONE: presenza di voltaggio pericoloso quando l apparecchio è collegato alla corrente. 3

4 Sistema stirante Italiano AVVERTENZE D USO PERICOLO DI USTIONE! Non toccare la piastra quando in uso. ATTENZIONE: quando in uso non cercare di svitare il tappo di sicurezza per nessuna ragione. Non svitare il tappo di sicurezza quando l apparecchio è ancora caldo. PERICOLO DI USTIONE. Non permettere ai bambini di svitare il tappo di sicurezza. ATTENZIONE: quando l apparecchio è stato appena utilizzato, del calore residuo rimane all interno della caldaia, maneggiare con cura. Attendere il completo raffreddamento prima di svitare il tappo di sicurezza. Non versare agenti chimici o aceto nella caldaia. Posizionare il sistema stirante solamente su superfici pari, stabili e resistenti al calore. Prima di pulire e/o mettere via l apparecchio, attendere il completo raffreddamento. Non usare l apparecchio vicino a tende, mobili o oggetti infiammabili. ATTENZIONE: durante l utilizzo del ferro da stiro, non rivolgere la piastra verso il viso, fare attenzione durante la fuoriuscita del vapore. Usare solo acqua, non introdurre altri liquidi nella caldaia. Riporre il ferro nella sua sede dopo l utilizzo. Non appoggiarlo su nessuna altra superficie. Al primo utilizzo del ferro da stiro rimuovere la pellicola di protezione sulla piastra, qualora sia presente. Mantenere il cavo di alimentazione distanziato dalla piastra. Non avvolgere in alcun caso il cavo elettrico sul ferro da stiro. Non riempire la caldaia oltre il limite massimo. Non stirare indumenti molto umidi, lasciarli asciugare prima di applicare il ferro da stiro. Far fuoriuscire il vapore della caldaia premendo l apposito tasto, dopo ogni utilizzo e prima di riporre il sistema stirante. Non stirare sopra cerniere o bottoni per non rovinare la piastra. 4

5 Sistema stirante Italiano INSTALLAZIONE Estrarre delicatamente il prodotto dall imballo. Conservare tutto il materiale per un eventuale impiego futuro. Dopo aver tolto l'imballaggio assicurarsi dell'integrità del prodotto. In caso di dubbio non utilizzarlo e rivolgersi a personale professionalmente qualificato. Gli elementi dell'imballaggio (sacchetti in plastica, polistirolo espanso ecc.) non devono essere lasciati alla portata dei bambini in quanto potenziali fonti di pericolo. ATTENZIONE : Per assicurare un adeguata ventilazione, mantenere la caldaia una distanza minima da pareti e/o oggetti di 15 cm. DESCRIZIONE DEL SISTEMA STIRANTE 1. Caldaia 2. Coperchio trasparente 3. Cavo 18. Cavo elettrico 19. Tasto blocco vapore continuo FUNZIONAMENTO Posizionare la caldaia su una superficie stabile e resistente al calore. 1. Svitare il tappo (3). 2. Inserire l acqua nel serbatoio: la capienza max è di 850 ml. Si raccomanda di non riempire il serbatoio oltre il livello MAX indicato sul serbatoio. ATTENZIONE : Non riempire la caldaia con profumo, aceto, agenti decalcificanti o chimici. NOTA: Se l acqua del rubinetto è troppo dura, si consiglia di miscelare in quantità equivalente acqua del rubinetto e acqua demineralizzata. 3. Chiudere il serbatoio stringendo accuratamente il tappo. ATTENZIONE : Non svitare il tappo fino al raffreddamento completo dell apparecchio. 4. Estrarre il cavo (18) dal suo alloggio ed inserire la spina nella presa di corrente. 5. Accendere la caldaia premendo il pulsante POWER (5): l indicatore di funzionamento (6) POWER ON si illuminerà. 6. Regolare il termostato ferro (11) sulla temperatura desiderata. L indicatore ferro in temperatura (12) si accenderà. 7. Regolare il vapore ruotando la manopola di regolazione vapore (8) sul valore desiderato. 8. Quando l indicatore ferro in temperatura (12) si spegne, la caldaia è pronta per l uso. NOTA: durante il funzionamento l indicatore ferro in temperatura (12) si accende e si spegne ad intervalli regolari. 9. Per attivare il getto di vapore, regolare il termostato ferro (11) e la manopola di regolazione vapore (8) come indicato nel paragrafo successivo REGOLAZIONE TEMPERATURA E VAPORE. 5

6 Sistema stirante Italiano 10. Premere il pulsante getto di vapore (10) per espellere il vapore. ATTENZIONE : NON rivolgere il getto di vapore verso il viso o verso altre persone. 11. Premere il pulsante getto di vapore (10) e successivamente il tasto blocco (19) per avere il getto di vapore continuo. NOTA: premendo il pulsante vapore è possibile che qualche goccia d acqua esca dal ferro; scaricare l acqua residua tenendo premuto il tasto (10). Rivolgere il getto sopra uno straccio e non sopra l indumento da stirare. ATTENZIONE : Se l uscita del vapore cessa è probabile che la caldaia sia rimasta senza acqua. NON UTILIZZARE LA CALDAIA SENZA ACQUA! 12. Per rabboccare la caldaia durante il funzionamento, riempire il misurino (15) e versare con attenzione l acqua esclusivamente attraverso il beccuccio per il rabbocco continuo (7). ATTENZIONE : Non aprire il tappo di sicurezza per rabboccare la caldaia! 13. L apparecchio è dotato di un sistema di autospegnimento: chiudendo il coperchio trasparente (2), il sistema stirante si spegnerà automaticamente e l indicatore di funzionamento POWER ON (6) si spegnerà. Aprendo il coperchio, l apparecchio riprenderà a funzionare. REGOLAZIONE TEMPERATURA E VAPORE Regolare il termostato ferro (11) e la manopola regolazione del vapore (8) come indicato in tabella: TESSUTO REGOLAZIONE VAPORE REGOLAZIONE TEMPERATURA Acetato, Stirare a secco Temperatura minima. Generalmente questi acrilico, tessuti richiedono una leggera stiratura. nylon, seta Poliestere, rayon Stirare a secco ~ Temperatura medio-bassa. Alternare la stiratura internamente ed esternamente al capo Lana Stirare a vapore ~ Temperatura medio-alta. Alternare la stiratura internamente ed esternamente al capo applicare uno straccio sottile tra il capo e la piastra per evitare che diventi lucido Cotone, tessuti inamidati Stirare a vapore Temperatura alta. Inumidire l indumento prima di stirare gli indumenti duri e inamidati possono essere stirati internamente. Lino Stirare a vapore MAX Temperatura massima. Alternare la stiratura internamente ed esternamente per i colori scuri onde evitare l effetto lucido STIRATURA 1. Svitare il tappo di sicurezza (3) e riempire il serbatoio senza superare il livello MAX indicato sulla caldaia (1). 2. Accendere il sistema stirante premendo il tasto relativo (5), il led di funzione (6) si illuminerà. 6

Regolare il termostato (11) e la manopola vapore (8) in funzione del tessuto che si desidera stirare facendo riferimento al paragrafo REGOLAZIONE TEMPERATURA E VAPORE. 4. Attendere che l indicatore ferro in temperatura (12) si spenga. 5. Il sistema è pronto per l uso. 6. Seguire le indicazioni riportate al paragrafo FUNZIONAMENTO dal punto 9. NOTA: la stiratura a vapore è possibile solamente impostando la temperatura del ferro oltre il livello. CONSIGLI PER LA STIRATURA Se non ci conosce la composizione del tessuto, regolare al minimo la temperatura della piastra, aumentando gradualmente la temperatura. Se il capo è costituito da più tessuti allora è opportuno regolare la temperatura della piastra per il tessuto che richiede meno calore. Il ferro da stiro si scalda molto rapidamente e si raffredda molto lentamente. Prestare attenzione quando si maneggia il ferro. Attendere il completo raffreddamento dell apparecchio prima di riporlo. Vapore continuo: mantenere la piastra del ferro a circa 20 cm dal tessuto che si desidera stirare PULIZIA E MANUTENZIONE ATTENZIONE : Staccare la spina dalla presa di corrente ed attendere il completo raffreddamento dell apparecchio prima di ogni operazione di pulizia e/o manutenzione. Per pulire la piastra utilizzare un panno di cotone morbido o una spugnetta non ruvida senza l ausilio di detergenti di alcun tipo. Per le altre parti invece utilizzare un panno morbido inumidito con acqua. Mai pulire con dei diluenti, prodotti abrasivi in genere. ATTENZIONE : Prima di riporre l apparecchio, svuotare la caldaia dall acqua residua. SOSTITUZIONE DEL FILTRO ANTICALCARE Questo prodotto è dotato di un sistema anti-calcare posto alla base dell apparecchio, che permette di filtrare l acqua e prevenire la formazione di calcare nella caldaia e sulla piastra del ferro. Si consiglia di sostituire il filtro anti-calcare (9) con uno nuovo ogni 3 mesi circa o dopo aver utilizzato l apparecchio per circa 45 volte. NOTA: Prima di staccare il filtro anti-calcare, svuotare il serbatoio dell acqua. The lightning flash with arrowhead, inside an equilateral triangle, warns the user that un-insulated dangerous voltage inside the system may cause an electrical shock. Class I: these appliances have their chassis connected to electrical earth by an earth conductor. Always plug the appliance to grounded electrical outlet. The dustbin means the product meets the requirements of the legislation that protects the environment (2002/96/EC, 2003/108/EC, 2002/95/EC). This symbol indicates that when the last user wishes to discard this product, it must be sent to appropriate facilities for recovery and recycling. 10 Steam station English DANGER OF BURN! Never touch the metal parts of the iron when it is hot. CAUTION: When the boiler is operating, the cap cannot be locked. DO NOT unscrew the cap for any reason. Do not unscrew the cap when the appliance is operating. Do not unscrew the cap if the appliance is hot, DANGER OF BURNS. Do not allow children or disable people to unscrew the cap. CAUTION: if the appliance has been used and switched off, it could still be hot; pay much attention. There may be pressure and steam inside the boiler, it is compulsory to wait for the complete cool down of the boiler before unscrewing the cap very slowly. Do not use the appliance in corrosive and explosive environment, next to solvents and paints. Always place the appliance on a firm, flat surface which is heat resistant. Before storing and cleaning the appliance, unplug it from the outlet and wait for complete cooling. WARNINGS AND SPECIAL RULES OF SAFETY Do not use the appliance near curtains, furniture or other inflammable objects. CAUTION: Steam is very hot, danger of burns. Never direct the steam jet toward people, animals or object which can be damaged or burnt. Use only tap water for filling the boiler. DO NOT fill with other liquids that may damage components and washers. Always put the iron on its seat on the boiler; never leave the iron placed on clothes or elsewhere. Remove the plastic protection on the iron (if present) Keep the electric cable away from the iron. Do not wrap the cable on the iron. Never overfill the boiler. Do not attempt to iron dry clothes. Always depressurize the iron before and after the use. DO NOT iron over clasps and/or buttons. 10

11 Steam station English INSTALLATION Carefully unpack your music system. Save all packing materials for possible future use. Check if the product is damaged. Do not attempt to use it if any part appears damaged. To avoid danger of suffocation, do not let the children play with the packing materials. WARNING: To ensure sufficient ventilation, the distance between appliance and wall or other objects must be at least 15 cm. DESCRIPTION 1. Boiler 2. Transparent cover 3. Filling cap 4. Fill with tap water and pay attention not to overfill the tank (maximum 850 ml). WARNING: do not fill the tank with perfume, vinegar, starch, anti-scale agents or chemicals. NOTE: if tap water in your area is very hard, mix tap and demineralised water together in equal amount. 3. Screw the cap tight. WARNING: once the system is switched on, the cap should not be unscrewed until the complete cooling of the appliance. 4. Retract the power cord and (18) and plug the system in the wall outlet. 5. Switch on the boiler by pressing the POWER button (5): the power indicator (6) will light on. 6. Adjust the thermostat (11) on the desired level. The led (12) will light on. 7. Adjust the steam level by using the steam control dial (8). 8. When the heating led (12) switches off, the appliance is ready for use. NOTE: during the period of operation, the heating led of the iron (12) will light on and off at regular intervals. 9. To have the steam jet, adjust the thermostat dial (11) and the steam control dial (8) as indicated in the following paragraph. 10. Press the shot of steam button (10) to emit steam. WARNING: never direct the steam towards people. 11

12 Steam station English 11. To have a continuous jet, press the shot of steam button (10) and work on the steam lockbutton (19) to block. NOTE: If the tank has been too much filled, by pressing the steam button, there will be water leakage together with the steam. Empty steam with water into an empty plastic bowl, which is heat resistant, by keeping the button (10) pressed until only steam comes out. WARNING: If the steam jet stops, it is possible that the boiler is empty. DO NOT USE THE STEAM STATION WITHOUT WATER! The appliance can be seriously damaged. 12. To refill the tank during ironing, fill the measuring cup (15) and pour the water in the filling opening (7). WARNING: Do not open the filling cap for refilling the boiler during ironing! 13. The appliance has a built-in micro auto shut-off device. Closing the transparent cover (2), the inner power will be switched off and the power on indicator (6) will light off. Opening the cover, the system will restart working automatically. ADJUSTING THERMOSTAT AND STEAM Adjust temperature and steam as indicated in the scheme below: FABRICS STEAM LEVEL TEMPERATURE LEVEL Dry Ironing Acetate, acrylic, nylon, silk Lowest temperature. Usually these types of materials need only light ironing. Polyester, rayon Dry Ironing ~ Mid-low temperature. Iron both the internal and external parts of the clothes. Wool Steam Ironing ~ Mid-high temperature. iron both the internal and external parts of the clothes. Put a light cloth on the plate to avoid the clothes will became glossy. Cotton, starched clothes Steam Ironing High temperature. Starch the clothes before starting ironing. Linen Steam Ironing MAX temperature. Use a lot of steam with this type of clothes. IRONING 1. Unscrew the filling cap (3) and fill with tap water paying attention not to overfill the tank. 2. Switch on the appliance by pressing the power button (5) the led (6) will light on. 3. Adjust the thermostat (11) according to the type of clothes you wish to iron (See ADJUSTING TEMPERATURE AND STEAM paragraph for reference). 4. When the heating led (12) is switched off. 5. The system is ready for use. 6. Follow the indications in the OPERATING paragraph. NOTE: steam ironing is better when selecting the level or higher. 12

13 Steam station English HINTS FOR A BETTER IRONING If you don t know the kind of fabric of the clothes you wish to iron, adjust the thermostat at minimum, increasing the temperature step by step. If the clothes are made of different fabrics, adjust the temperature according to the fabric that needs a lower temperature. The iron become hot very fast; on the contrary it gets cool very slowly. Pay attention while using the iron. Wait until the appliance has completely chilled. Continuous steam: keep the iron at a minimum distance of 20 cm while steaming the clothes. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE WARNING: let the boiler chill before starting to clean the apparatus. Unplug the steam station before starting the maintenance and/or the cleaning. Clean the iron with a soft cloth. Do not use abrasive chemicals in general to avoid damages to the apparatus. For the other parts use a cloth with warm water. WARNING: Before storing the appliance, empty the tank; put the appliance in a dry and clean place. REPLACING THE ANTI-SCALE BOX This appliance is equipped with a replaceable anti-scale box which is located in the bottom of the system. The anti-scale box filtrates the water and prevent water scale in the boiler and on the soleplate. The normal usage period is 3 months or use 40 litre of water. After this period is recommended to change the box with a new one. NOTE: Before replacing the anti-scale box, empty the boiler from the water.
