il filo conduttore the leading thread 37 Il filo conduttore Federica Marangoni A cura di Gabriella Belli 6 Maggio - 13 Settembre 2015 Venezia, Cà Pesaro Galleria internazionale d Arte Moderna Un filo di luce, il filo conduttore in cracked neon rosso always in motion, è il filo della vita e delle emozioni dell artista. Un rivolo rosso di energia e sangue taglia rigorosamente la bianca facciata di Ca Pesaro, dal tetto fin quasi all acqua del Canal Grande, dove incontra una Venere tecnologica, una gigantesca bobina in sottile ed effimera lastra di vetro sul cui asse si avvolge. Nel museo, due stanze al piano terra sono collegate e segnate proprio da quel filo rosso che qui diventa un rivolo di sangue che scorre in un ammasso di filo spinato. Una mostra/installazione forte e spettacolare, soprattutto di sera: il filo conduttore della vita guida dalla facciata del museo all interno di Ca Pesaro dove si svolge il dramma dell umanità. IS NOT A GOOD DAY TO BE HUMAN è scritto dietro a una mendicante e all ammasso di filo spinato, mentre scorrono, al ritmo del battito del cuore, immagini sconvolgenti di rotocalchi e giornali. Segni tipici del lavoro di Federica Marangoni, che parla della libertà dell individuo e del caos in cui l umanità si dibatte. The leading thread Federica Marangoni Edited by Gabriella Belli 2015 May 6 - September 13 Venice, Cà Pesaro Galleria internazionale d Arte Moderna A Thread of Light, the main theme in cracked red neon always in motion, is the thread of the artist s life and emotions. A red rivulet of energy and blood sharply divides the white façade of Ca Pesaro, from the roof almost down to the water of the Grand Canal, where it encounters a technological Venus, a gigantic spool made from a slender and ephemeral plate of glass on whose axis it winds. In the museum, two rooms on the ground floor are connected and market by this red thread which becomes a rivulet of blood running through a mass of barbed wire. This is a strong, spectacular exhibition/installation, especially in the evening: the common thread of life leads from the façade on the museum into Ca Pesaro, in which the drama of humanity unfolds. The words IS NOT A GOOD DAY TO BE HUMAN appear behind a beggar and the mass of barbed wire, while disturbing images of printing machines and magazines move across at the rate of a heartbeat. These are typical signs of Federica Marangoni s work, which speaks of the individual s freedom and the chaos in which humanity struggles. Main sponsor
