La Storia - The History Gestione Bacini SpA nasce nell ottobre del 2009 per iniziativa di un gruppo di trentadue aziende livornesi dell indotto marittimo e dei servizi portuali, con l obiettivo l di costituire un polo attivo nel ramo delle riparazioni navali, tramite la gestione dei bacini del porto di Livorno di proprietà dell'autorità Portuale. Gestione Bacini SpA was founded in October 2009 on the initiative of a group of thirty-two two Leghorner companies, active in port services and maritime industries, with the aim of establishing an active pole in the field of ship repair, through the management of the dry docks of the port of Livorno Port Authority property.
La storia (2) - The History (2) Il grande bacino in muratura del porto livornese fu inaugurato nel n 1975 dal Cantiere Navale Orlando che lo avrebbe poi avuto in concessione dal demanio fino al 2002, anno in cui cessò la propria attività.. Nel 2003 Azimut Benetti acquisì la proprietà dell area cantieristica, dove avviò una nuova attività di costruzione di mega yachts,, ed ebbe in concessione l area l demaniale comprendente il grande bacino, continuando qui l'attivit attività di riparazione navale per interromperla nell'anno 2007 in quanto non n facente parte del proprio core business. The big dry dock of Leghorn Harbour was inaugurated in 1975 by the Cantiere Navale Orlando ( Naval( Shipyard Orlando ) ) that was to have a concession by the state until 2002, when it ceased its activities. In 2003 Azimut Benetti Shipyard acquired ownership of the shipbuilding area, where they started a new activity for the construction of mega yachts, and had also the concession of the state-owned area including the big dry dock, continuing here the business of ship repair to stop in 2007 as it was not part of their core business.
La storia (3) - The History (3) Gran parte del personale fuoriuscito dalle società che si sono succedute in questi anni nella conduzione dei bacini e delle attività di costruzione è stato assorbito dalle aziende socie di Gestione Bacini SpA, che oggi possono quindi annoverare nei loro organigrammi personale con esperienza più che ventennale nel settore. Inoltre la società può svolgere anche attività di costruzione navale, di forniture navali e prestazione di servizi portuali. Dove - Where L attività principale si svolge a Livorno nell area a suo tempo occupata dal Cantiere Navale Luigi Orlando, attualmente gestita dall'autorità Portuale. Al momento sono operativi soltanto il bacino galleggiante e le banchine, mentre il grande bacino in muratura, che può ricevere navi di tonnellaggio superiori a 100.000 tonnellate, sarà invece nuovamente operativo nel corso del 2012. La disponibilità del bacino galleggiante ci puo' permettere di alare e varare navi fino ad una portata di 18.000 tonnellate e di lunghezza fino a 180 metri, mentre per le banchine non abbiamo limitazioni in quanto a pescaggio (13mt) e lunghezza (350 mt).
