1 COMUNICATO STAMPA n GIUGNO 2009 CAMPIONATO MONDIALE SUPERBIKE: SULLA PISTA DI CASA BEN SPIES È IMPRENDIBILE Grande trionfo per Domino e il Team Yamaha World Superbike in questo settimo appuntamento stagionale. Dopo aver conquistato la settima pole position consecutiva, entrando nella storia della SBK, Ben Spies ha centrato sulla pista di casa, a Salt Lake City, negli USA, una perentoria doppietta, che lo ha portato a quota sette successi in stagione, diventando il pilota più vincente in questa prima parte di campionato. Nelle due gare Spies ha imposto un ritmo insostenibile per gli avversari, passando sotto la bandiera a scacchi con vantaggi davvero significativi. Grazie a questi risultati, Ben è tornato ora ad occupare la seconda posizione in campionato, riducendo il gap da 88 a 53 punti nei confronti del leader di campionato. Dopo prove difficili, Tom Sykes si è rilanciato nella giornata di gara, piazzandosi prima tredicesimo e poi nono; posizioni che gli hanno permesso di difendere il settimo posto nella classifica di campionato. Un buon risultato complessivo che ha ridato morale al pilota inglese, deciso a ritornare a ridosso delle posizioni del podio. Il prossimo appuntamento con il Campionato Mondiale Superbike è il 21 giugno a Misano con il GP di San Marino.

2 CAMPIONATO MONDIALE MOTOGP: DOMINO SUL PODIO AL MUGELLO CON SIMONCELLI Si è corso questo ultimo weekend di maggio il quinto appuntamento con il Campionato del Mondo MotoGP. È stato un GP d Italia caratterizzato da un tempo variabile, che si è alternato tra la pioggia e il sole. Gara straordinaria quella della quarto di litro: sul circuito del Mugello Domino porta a casa un podio davvero incredibile con Marco Simoncelli e il Team Metis Gilera. Il risultato arriva su una pista allagata dopo una gara piena di colpi di scena. Dopo una collisione e un fuori pista con Alvaro Bautista, Marco si impegna in un duello mozzafiato con Mattia Pasini: gli ultimi due giri sono davvero da paura, con sorpassi e staccate al limite. Il vincitore della giornata è Pasini ma Simoncelli conquista un secondo gradino di tutto rispetto. Il prossimo appuntamento con il Campionato del Mondo MotoGP è il 14 giugno a Barcellona.

3 CAMPIONATO MONDIALE CROSS: PHILIPPAERTS TORNA A DETTARE LEGGE Questo settimo appuntamento con il Campionato Mondiale Cross è stato segnato dal dominio di David Philippaerts. Sulla pista di Mallory Park, in Gran Bretagna, il pilota del Team Yamaha Monster Motocross ha conquistato una vittoria e un secondo posto degni del titolo di Campione del Mondo, e che lo portano al secondo posto nella classifica di campionato. Gara positiva anche per il compagno di squadra Joshua Coppins, che chiude quinto in Gara 1 e quarto in Gara 2. Ora Philippaerts si trova a 34 punti dal numero uno in classifica Antonio Cairoli, che in questa gara risente della brutta caduta avvenuta durante le prove e chiude decimo e ottavo. Meglio il compagno Tanel Leok, che riesce a chiudere ottavo e sesto. Ancora una volta si tratta di risultati che soddisfano pienamente le aspettative della Tommaselli. 4 PRESS RELEASE n. 14 JUNE 01 th 2009 SUPERBIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: HOME RUN FOR SENSATIONAL SPIES AS HE DOES THE DOUBLE Great triumph for Domino and Yamaha World Superbike Team in this seventh seasonal date with the Superbike World Championship. It was a fitting result on race day for the Texan Terror Ben Spies at the Miller circuit as the Yamaha rider made it clear his home race belonged to him and him only. Spies led both races form the go with arguably his best race starts of the season ensuring he took the holeshot and had a clear circuit to work his magic on. Having extended a 4.2 second lead in the first race it was red flagged six laps in when Karl Muggeridge crashed out. The race was re started and run on aggregate timing to ensure any advantages from the first start where not lost. From the second start Spies led again with a convincing start over second place Checa to take his first win of the day. Race two saw another incredible start from Spies, keeping his pole position at the front of the pack. Followed closely by Michel Fabrizio, Spies ran a perfect set of 21 laps in the front to take his second win of the day to the delight of the home crowd. Spies is now in second place in the championship, 53 points behind leader Haga. Team-mate Tom Sykes had an equally impressive race day. Following a bad qualification seeing him start from 22nd on the grid, Sykes had a lot of work to do. Race one saw him put his head down and work consistently up the pack, at the end of the race after aggregate he came home in 13th place. Race two saw an incredible start, Sykes put his talent out for all to see, picking off one rider after another to get down to ninth position. By this time the front pack had got too far away and Sykes ran out on his own for the remainder of the race to keep his top ten finish. 5 MOTOGP WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: DOMINO ON MUGELLO PODIUM WITH SIMONCELLI This last weekend of May was race the fifth date with the MotoGP World Championship. It has been a GP of Italy characterized by an uncertain weather, alternated between rain and sun. Extraordinary competition the one of the 250 cc: from Mugello Circuit Domino bring back home an extraordinary podium with Marco Simoncelli and Metis Gilera Team. The result arrives on a flooded track, after a competition full of sensations. After a collision with Alvaro Bautista, Marco undertakes in a great fight with Mattia Pasini: the last two laps are incredible. The winner of the day is Pasini but Simoncelli conquers a wonderful second step. Next date with the MotoGP World Championship is on June 14 th in Barcellona.

6 CROSS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP: PHILIPPAERTS DICTATES LAW AGAIN This seventh date with the Cross World Championship has been marked by the dominion of David Philippaerts. On Mallory Park track, in Great Britain, Yamaha Monster Motocross Team s rider has conquered a victory and a second place worthy of the title of MX1 World Champion, and that bring him to the second place in the championship classification. Positive competition also for the teammate Joshua Coppins, who closes fifth in Race 1 and fourth in Race 2. Philippaerts is now 34 points behind number one Antonio Cairoli, who in this competition feels the effects of a fall happened during the tests and so he finishes tenth and eighth. Better the teammate Tanel Leok, who succeeds in closing eighth and sixth. Once more it deals with results that fully satisfy the expectations of Tommaselli.
