La partecipazione allo scambio è aperta a tutti tra i 18 e i 25 anni e prevede il 70% del rimborso delle spese di viaggio. La quota di partecipazione è di 100 euro e comprende vitto, alloggio e la partecipazione a tutte le attività. Tutti i partecipanti riceveranno lo Youth Pass, valido in tutta Europa, strumento di riconoscimento dell apprendimento in contesti non formali. 3 Europe, a multicultural village: scambio interculturale a Cipro Nome del progetto: Europe, a multicultural village Dove: Agros, Cipro Quando: Ottobre 2010 Numero partecipanti: 44 partecipanti, di cui 4 italiani Età: anni, è ammessa una eccezione oltre i 25 anni. Tema: Dialogo interculturale Descrizione: Questo progetto è uno scambio interculturale giovanile e rappresenta un momento di incontro tra giovani provenienti da diversi paesi europei per conoscere altre culture. L idea del progetto è di scoprire le diversità e similitudini tra le diverse culture analizzando quali attività vengono praticate nel tempo libero in ogni paese. Attraverso seminari e workshop su arte e cultura i partecipanti avranno modo di scoprire le diverse idee, opinioni e differenze culturali tra i paesi mediterranei presenti allo scambio. Durante la settimana non mancheranno visite culturali e momenti tipici degli scambi interculturali (serate internazionali, presentazione del proprio paese, musiche, cibi ) Adesioni: Per aderire è necessario compilare la domanda di partecipazione che potete scaricare dal sito La scadenza per aderire al progetto è Lunedì 20 settembre, ore Costi: Vitto, alloggio, materiali e rimborso del 70% di viaggio coperti dall associazione ospitante grazie ai fondi della Comunità Europea (Programma Gioventù in Azione ). 4 2. CONCORSO PER GIOVANI REPORTER Il Comitato Internazionale della Croce Rossa (ICRC) ha lanciato un invito a presentare proposte per il Concorso per Giovani Reporter. Il concorso rappresenta un opportunità per i giovani (18-25 anni) di tutto il mondo di scoprire l azione umanitaria della Croce Rossa e raccontare la situazione dei giovani nei conflitti armati o altre situazioni di violenza. I quattro lavori migliori vinceranno la possibilità di partecipare ad una missione di una settimana nelle delegazioni dell ICRC in Georgia, Libano, Liberia e Filippine. Sotto la tutela e la guida di uno specialista ICRC della comunicazione, i candidati selezionati scriveranno un reportage della missione in versione stampata o video, che sarà pubblicata/mostrata su numerosi media. I prodotti finiti verranno presentati durante una cerimonia che si terrà a Ginevra, Svizzera, intorno all 8 maggio Scadenza: 1 Ottobre (Fonte: SCAMBIEUROPEI) 3. SCHOLARSHIPS FOR RESEARCH ON VOLUNTEERING In the framework of the European Year of Volunteering, the French National Institute for Youth and Education (INJEP) / French agency of the European Programme Youth in Action (AFPEJA), the Franco-German Youth Office (OFAJ) and the Civic Service Agency are offering two scholarships for research projects focusing on volunteering. The research projects should aim at describing and better understanding the role and contribution of volunteering in the social and professional integration of young people. The social value of volunteering (French and European) and the democratization of voluntary schemes are the two main axes around which the research must be articulated. The projects must be conducted in France or in Europe between October 2010 and September 2011.

5 Funds are allocated in the form of nominal scholarships for young researchers, as part of a project Master 2 research. The total amount of each allocation is EUR (quarterly instalments). RTM - Reggio Terzo Mondo ricerca 2 volontari da inserire nei propri progetti di cooperazione a Klina/Klinë, regione di Pejë/Peć, in Kosovo. Il volontario presterà il proprio servizio all interno di progetti già in corso riguardanti uno dei seguenti ambiti: 1) Educazione - educazione alla pace con focus sul settore prescolare e l animazione giovanile; 2) Sviluppo locale - creazione di un caseificio cooperativo. La partenza è prevista per febbraio 2011 e sarà preceduta da un periodo di formazione di circa un mese. La durata complessiva dell esperienza è di 12 mesi. The tasks of the volunteer are the followings: Managing and developing of contacts with international organizations; - Creating of databases and on-line market researches; - Developing of new projects. A perfect knowledge of English language (at least C1) is a compulsory requirement. A basic knowledge of Italian language is a preferential requirement. The duration of the internship will be from 3 to 6 months. There is no economic contribution, but the trainee will receive a support in carrying out administrative procedures and in finding a lodging. Its mission is primarily to host youth groups from 12 to 26 years. During the school year, they are mostly classes organized by schools. During holidays, these are families, youth groups and associations (sports clubs, theater, ) to organize activities. Le Domaine de Mozet arranges accommodation for groups (19,000 overnights stays and 27,000 days of activities) and meetings of these groups through the provision of appropriate infrastructure (15 rooms). The team is composed of 10 persons to carry out all tasks inherent in the mission. Selection: - Desiring to be involved in multiple activities on a site hosting youth groups and: - willing to speak french, - eager to share his (her) experience, - like finding solutions, - be creative, - loving to work alone, - wishing to meet.. children, youth, adults, Tasks: -3 main tasks for the volunteer: a. the volunteer will be the contact person of the group during his stay. He (she) will ensure the smooth running of the programme. He (she) will inform and guide the groups. b. he (she) will work with team leaders to develop the new animations. He (she) will have the possibility to build alone some activities, visits and meetings with the help of

(Fonte: SCAMBIEUROPEI) Progetto per volontari con minori opportunità GRAN BRETAGNA - Bradford Progetto per ragazzi con minori opportunità (di tipo sociale, economico, geografico, con difficoltà fisiche o psicologiche o difficoltà legate a differenze culturali o difficoltà di apprendimento ecc.). Duration: 1 mese con possibilità di scegliere tra due periodi - dal 19/10/10 al 15/11/10 oppure dal 23/11/10 al 20/12/10. Attività: di tipo ambientale nella cittadina di Bradford (vicino a Leeds), di seguito la descrizione in inglese: Bradford Environmental Education Service (BEES) is the environmental department of the City of Bradford YMCA and as such maintains both urban and fringe areas for the benefit of wildlife and local people. BEES is an organisation that relies heavily on the participation of volunteers to carry out its remit, whilst offering an excellent opportunity for learning to the young people that participate. Volunteers will travel around different areas of the city of Bradford maintaining conservation sights, keeping the green areas of Bradford both aesthetically beautiful for the community and also making sure the local wildlife is secure in its natural habitat. Volunteers are given the opportunity to learn about conservation in the UK and are given a close insight into the day-to-day maintenance that takes place in both rural and urban environments. Volunteers will learn first-hand about nature by taking part in a variety

9 of seasonal activities such as tree-and-bulb-planting, path building, painting, sculpture and general outdoor maintenance such as weeding and grass cutting. EVS volunteers will work alongside local volunteers as well as the supervisor and coordinator. Bradford Community RePaint sources and collects paint that is currently unused by its purchaser and distributes it to needy organisations and individuals within the community after restoring it to its original quality. RePaint recycles thousands of litres of unwanted paint each year, as well as supporting various organisations within the community by donating its restored paint to refurbish public buildings, hospitals, schools and community centres. The main activities of the volunteer are based at RePaint headquarters where they will sort paint according to colour and type as well as filtering, mixing and storing paint ready for reuse. Occasionally volunteers will have the opportunity to visit the projects that benefit from their work to deliver paint. They may also join the team that visits donation points to collect paint to be redistributed. Please read this short presentation of the first impression of my life in ITALIA. It is a pleasure and I am very happy to arrive in Modigliana and starting to work and living in Italy. I can promise that I will do everything with the best of my knowledge in order to support the efforts and purposes of The Social Co-operative "Kara Bobowski". First I would like to introduce myself and tell something about my life in Hungary. My name is István Őri (the Hungarian form of the full name is the opposite of the Italian form therefore we write the surname first and then the first name thus my name is written in Hungarian in this way: Őri István) and I was born on the 15 th of March in 1986 in Budapest which is the capital city of Hungary. I spent my childhood and finished secondary school in Budapest where more than one third of the population is living (with agglomeration). But most of my family is from the countryside so I had the opportunity to spend time with relatives in completely

11 different living circumstances. After I finished my studies in secondary school I decided to leave my hometown to see something new and to have new adventures. That was the reason I chose to move to study in another town. Veszprém where I study is a picturesque small town in a beautiful environment surrounded by hills only 15 kilometres fromthe Lake Balaton. This is a university town so there are about students, which means life never stops. My master faculty is European Studies in the discipline of international relations. During my studies I gained considerable experiences of many areas of life such as law, political science, marketing, international relations, economics, philosophy, globalization, languages, cultures, therefore I believe that my horizon coherently covers a wide spectrum of the international relations. But my speciality is intercultural relations so that was the main reason I decided to move to abroad and working in the civil society. I think the contact between the cultures is one of the most interesting field of international relations because it is needed at all levels. I mean it is impossible to make relations between countries, cultures, civilizations, regions without knowing for example intercultural communication. Why Italy? Honestly the reason is nothing special. Of course one reason is to learn the italian language and I am interested in Italian culture and history as well. Every summer and all of my free time I go off and I really like to be on the road. I have been travelling a lot in Italy due to I am climbing as well. I am just looking for something new, something much better and more beautiful and more exciting. The point is to be open-minded and to be open for everything new.

12 After more than one month living (and not just to be a tourist) in another country I can feel how important is it. I have tried many ways of travelling like hitchhiking (autostop) as well. In my opinion there is no better option to know other people when you are hitchhiking. I got to know lots of good people and we became friends and we still keep in touch. Sometimes it was difficult what is more someone could say it was dangerous what I did, but no. The most important thing in my life is just living, knowing more and more and helping the others and it s probably worth it. So if I can give an advise for everyone could be that: never refuse an invitation and try to give as much as you can. Till that time I have visited a lot of places (as you can see on the map) in Italy, therefore I have relatively good comparison. My first impression of Modigliana is totally positive. It is different from the municipalities in Hungary. I can see that, and it is very positive that there are a lot of places where people can spend their time together for example in restaurants and bars which are always full in the night and people talking and talking and share their thoughts and everyday experiences of life. The market on every Saturday on the main street, which is closed during the event, is also a good example for that. I am really looking forward to the festivals in the autumn, especially la Festa del Kiwi in November or Feste dell 800 which is a festival of the famous Italian realist painter Silvestro Lega who was born and living in Modigliana in the 19th century. The people in Modigliana on the base of my experiences are very open-minded and I can definitely say that is considerably thanks for the Organisation Kara Bobowski because in the last 18 years many exchange programmes took place and a lot of young people from abroad worked in Modigliana. I am very happy that I can work with a young and helpful team. My expectations of myself are to use as much as I can the time I spend here in Italy and to know more and more.
