6 Informazioni Fare bella figura It is very important for Italians to fare bella figura. Fare bella figura means to make a good impression. It means to dress appropriately for any occasion, to know how to handle oneself in any situation, and to know how to manage personal and family finances. At a young age children learn the rules of fare bella figura from their parents, who themselves dress well not only for work at the office, but even when they go shopping. When they visit friends or acquaintances, for instance, you dress well out of respect. Fare bella figura is a norm that is respected among all social classes, as appropriate to their finances. Even the youngest children have to be well dressed, with jeans and well- ironed shirts; they always have to be presentable. Fare bella figura also means that students are prepared for exams, and able to answer questions in class, in order to avoid a brutta figura in front of the teacher an other students. If you know the person well, it is especially important to include what makes the person interesting or unique. With this in mind, write a brief paragraph (6-8 sentences) describing a friend.
