Mohammed VI Re del Marocco. Questo evento si svolge puntualmente a dicembre in occasione del Salon du Cheval a Parigi, la capitale francese nonchè cuore pulsante del mondo della moda. Oggigiorno non tutte le attività allevatoriali sono durature. I nuovi allevatori e proprietari cambiano, per questa ragione non tutti coloro che abbiamo avuto il piacere di incontrare durante l appuntamento di quest anno a Nord Villepinte ricorderanno l origine di questo prestigioso evento. Il fondatore della Coppa del Mondo è il Sig. William Richardot Choisey che, colpito dalla bellezza orientale dei cavalli arabi, è diventato un appassionato organizzatore di numerosissime edizioni dello show Internazionale di Vincennes in Francia. In queste edizioni, entusiasta del successo di numerosi allevatori internazionali e dei soggetti di altissima qualità riconosciuta a livello mondiale (oggi considerati i cavalli fondatori nel mondo World Arabian Horse Championships taking place every December during Salon du Cheval in the capital city of France, the heart of world s fashions, is a celebration of the whole year show meetings where the best of the best qualified during several battles through the all year meet to compete for the most important trophies of Arabian horse show industry World Champions under the high patronage of HRH Mohammed VI the King of Marocco. Since in nowadays breeding not all the breeding activities stays for long term and the new breeders and owners come and go probably not everybody that we could have a pleasure to meet this year at Nord Villepinte may remember how it all began. The idea holder was Mr William Richardot de Choicy who, after being influenced by the beauty of oriental Arabian horse breed became a passionate organizer of several editions of International show taking place in Vincennes, France. Excited with the successes of great international breeders taking the idea and several world s best quality winners - nowadays legendary foundation horses of the breed, the idea of international show turned up into the official meeting of the best horses from all around the world under the name of World Championships with the support of such breeders as: Judith Forbis, Izabella Zawadzka, Ursula Roberts, Jacquewww.tuttoarabi.com TUTTO ARABI 163

Tutto questo grazie anche al supporto di noti allevatori tra cui: Judith Forbis, Izabella Zawadzka, Ursula Roberts, Jacqueline Bourey, Emanuelle Bour, Odile van Perski, Jopie Smarius, Pesi Gazder, Wigdane El Barbary, Ignacy Jaworowski, Andrzej Krzysztalowicz, Count Stephan Zamoyski, Diego Mendez, Hans Nagel, Francois Clos, Colonel Albert Brau, Jean Dayne, Prof. Wim Hermans, Peter Houtappel, Mohamed Marsafi, Jay Stream, Ibrahim Zaghloul. The first event taking place in 1980 was held under the patronage of Princess Lalla Amina of Morocco with 112 entries from 12 different countries... 5 ALMASA Bronze Medal Fillies (Monarcos DD/Jawaahir) Breeder: Royal Stables/HKJ Owner: HRH Prince Hussein Mirza/HKJ Mondo si è svolto nel 1980 sotto il patrocinio di S.A.R. Principessa Lalla Amina del Morocco e registrò 112 partecipanti provenienti da 12 Paesi diversi. Nel dicembre 2010 questo entusiasmante show ha celebrato la sua trentesima edizione e, ancora una volta, ha chiuso la stagione di gare con una spettacolare vetrina di circa 100 bellissimi soggetti radunati per contendersi il titolo più ambito dall industria del cavallo arabo oggi. Un ringraziamento speciale a Cristiane Chazel e Dominique Briot che negli ultimi anni hanno condotto nel migliore dei modi l organizzazione del Campionato del Mondo. Per essere il più obbiettivi possibile, i giudici scelti per in Arabian horse world called industry nowadays. 8 FADI AL SHAQAB Silver Medal Colts (Besson Carol/Abha Myra) Breeder: Orr & Byatt/USA Owner: Al Shaqab Stud/QAT questo importante evento erano otto tra i più qualificati al mondo, rappresentanti Paesi Europei, del Medio Oriente e Americani: Gianmarco Aragno Itaia, Scott Benjamin Canada, Mohamed Machmoum Marocco, Nasr Marei Egitto, Ann Norden Svezia, Willi Poth Germania, Marianne Tengstedt Danimarca, Marc Veray Francia. Il regolamento della Coppa del Mondo prevede che i cavalli iscritti vengano suddivisi in maschi e femmine senior e junior. In quest occasione sono stati ulteriormente divisi in Sez. Sempre per la stessa ragione, nel campionato finale, abbiamo visto tanti splendidi cavalli riuniti nell arena. Tutto Arabi e Haras Cruzeiro (Brasile) hanno sponsorizzato la miglior testa di ogni gruppo e di ogni sezione. La vincitrice del gruppo A puledre (junior) è stata l esotica Almasa by Monarcos DD di proprietà di HRH Prince Mirza Hussein (Giordania), seguita da Piacenza (by QR Marc) di proprietà della Michałów State Stud (Polonia) e dalla sua mezza sorella da parte di padre nonchè compagna di scuderia, Zigi Zana (figlia della fattrice Campionessa del Mondo Zagrobla). Top Five per le vincitrici dei titoli degli show Al Aliha e Turchiya led show winners of 2010 Al Aliha and Turchiya MPE were placed Top Five however Turchiya MPE representing her Brazilian owner Leandro de Aguilar was awarded with Most Beautiful Head trophy in the section. The B section of junior females was extremely tough competition between the several titles holders and the names of the entries were bringing the goose bumps to the spectators. FT Shaella from Dubai Stud, Alma Al Tiglio for Giancarlo Buzzi, Psyche Kreuza from Poland, Baila de Djoon for Sh. Mohammed Bin Saud Al Quasimi and Parmana for Athbah Stud this was the final order of 5 highest scored that day however the domination of FT Shaella in the points gave her the unquestionable preference to be the champion and the judges votes were 170 TUTTO ARABI

La sezione B puledre (junior) era una sezione molto difficile che ha visto competere molte detentrici di titoli. Nomi importanti che hanno regalato al pubblico grande emozione: FT Shaella, di proprietà della Dubai Stud; Alma Al Tiglio, di proprietà di Giancarlo Buzzi; Psyche Kreuza (Polonia); Baila de Djoon, di proprietà di Sh. Mohammed Bin Saud Al Quasimi e Parmana, di proprietà di Athbah Stud. Questa la classifica finale delle Top Five con in testa FT Shaella indiscussa campionessa, scelta da ben sette giudici su otto che si è confermata Campionessa del Mondo (puledre) domenica pomerig- just the confirmation 7 votes amongst of 8 gave her almost unanimous World Champion Filly title on Sunday afternoon while her class mate Alma Al Tiglio deservedly awarded with the Best Head Trophy in the section became Reserve and the class winner of section A Almasa got the Bronze medal for Jordan. Friday is traditionally the ladies day at Salon du Cheval so the junior appearances were followed by the seniors, experienced, well matured and most beautifully refined Arabian creatures including World Champion sired Emandoria by Gazal Al Shaqab from Michałów State Stud the title holder of 2010 All Nations Cup and 2010 European Champion and former 2006 World Champion Filly - beautiful Bess Fa Izah returning to the rings for Ajwww.tuttoarabi.com TUTTO ARABI 173

13 LADI VERONIKA Bronze Medal Mares (Versace/Nisrs Natevka) Breeder: Coger/USA Owner: Dubai Arabian Horse Stud/UAE gio, mentre la sua compagna di categoria, Alma al Tiglio, si è meritata il trofeo di miglior testa della sua sezione e il titolo di Riserva Campionessa. La vincitrice della sezione A, Almasa, si è aggiudicata il Bronzo per la Giordania. Come da tradizione il venerdì al Salon de Cheval è la giornata dedicata alle lady. Terminate le sezioni A e B puledre è toccato alle fattrici: bellissime, raffinatissime cavalle arabe tra le quali Emandoria (by Gazal al Shaqab), della Michelov State Stud, detentrice del titolo di Campionessa Europea2010, vincitrice ad Aachen 2010 e man Stud as the biggest rivals in section A. The emotions rose to the top while the point difference was just one point more for Emandoria in total but better for Bess Fa Izah in the type and head and neck scores so on Sunday afternoon while the championships everything may could have happened depending on the horses actual appearance and disposition and the judges taste. And so with 6 votes Bess Fa Izah was elected the Senior World Champion Mare as well as Best Head section A trophy, leaving the Silver medal to Emandoria and Bronze to Ladi Veronika of Dubai Stud the win- 174 TUTTO ARABI

16 QR MARC Silver Medal Stallions (Marwan Al Shaqab*/Sweet Dreams) B: Doyle/USA - O: Gheysens/BE l ex Campionessa del Mondo (puledre) 2006 temuta rivale della sezione A insieme Bess Fa Izah tornata a competere negli show ring quest anno per l Ajman Stud. L adrenalina era alle stelle, un solo punto di differenza a vantaggio di Emandoria nel punteggio totale, ma il punteggio di Bess Fa Izah era più alto per tipo, testa e collo quindi, domenica pomeriggio durante il Campionato finale, tutto era possibile, dipendeva solo dall aspetto, dalla vogia di vincere delle fattrici e dai gusti dei giudici. Con sei voti Bess Fa Izah è stata proclamata Campionessa del Mondo (fattrici) e miglior testa della Sez A, lasciando la Medaglia d Argento a Emandoria e il Bronzo ner and Best Head awarded of section B who was placed in her class in front of All Nations Cup highest scored mare Emmona from Michałów Stud and Atheena for HRH Prince Abdulaziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. On Saturday morning we could have seen the interesting competition between the males both the famous champions and champion sires in the seniors as well as the raising stars in juniors for whom World Championship medals can be equal to the responsible task of being the future most popular sires. B e che si è piazzata davanti a Emmona della Michałów Stud (punteggio più alto ad Aachen) e a Atheena di S.A.R. Prince Abdulaziz Bin Ahmed Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Siamo giunti così, sabato mattina, alle sezioni maschili campioni famosi, padri di campioni e future stelle (junior) che, insieme alla vincita delle prestigiose medaglie, assumono anche la responsabilità di essere tra i più famosi stalloni del futuro. Le aspettative sono state soddisfatte. La sezione A dei puledri ha visto in by Al Shaqab Stud with the high total of 556 points in front of the Best Head awarded in the section Shamal Al Khalediah representing Al Khalediah Stables and Makisa Adaggio owned by Rebecca McEvoy from UK. In the section B the expectation for the high points raised even more as the 2010 All Nations Cup and European Champion colt Aja Justified competing for Athbah Stud was entered to complete the titles for the 2010 Triple Crown! The total score of 556 points and Best Head award were the best prelude for him for Sunday s finals. Second placed after Aja Justified loosing just half point to the class winner was RFI Farid, luckily 178 TUTTO ARABI

19 ACA testa due soggetti del Medio Oriente: Fadi Al Shaqab by Besson Carol di proprietà dell Al Shaqab Stud (con 556 punti), seguito dal vincitore del premio per la miglior testa della sezione Shamal Al Khalediah di Al Khalediah Stables. Terzo posto per Makisa Adaggio, di prorietà di Rebecca McEvoy (UK). Altissime le aspettative di punteggi notevoli per la Sez. B data la presenza di AJA Justified dell Athbah Studdel - Campione Europeo 2010, vincitore ad Aachen 2010 e in gara per la Triple Crown 2010! Per AJA Justified la vincita della sezione, con 556 punti e il titolo di miglior testa della sua sezione, erano di ottimo auspicio per la finale di domenica. RFI Farid si è qualificato secondo (con solo mezzo punto di differenza), importato in Italia dal Brasile dalla Fam. Palumbo. Ha battuto lo spettacolare El chall El Chall WR by Magnum Chall..di proprietà di North Arabians In finale AJA Justified ha soddisfatto i suoi proprietari vincendo il terzo titolo necessario per la Triple Crown il titolo di Campione del Mondo! RFI Farid, con 3 voti come Campione del mondo e il Bronzo vinto, ha reso entusiasti i suoi proprietari: la famiglia Palumbo. Argento, con 5 preferenze per l Argento e una per l Oro, a Fadi Al Shaqab. Attesissime anche le sezioni degli stalloni senior che ha visto due mezzi fratelli da parte di padre ed entrambi nati negli USA contendersi il titolo: Baanderos dell Al Khalediah e QR Marc di Paul Gheysens. I due imported from Brazil by Palumbo family to Italy. He has beaten the new European appearance of North Arabians this year El Chall WR by Magnum Chall. In the finals there was no big surprise that Aja Justified made his breeders and owners happy collecting the third trophy for the Triple Crown however the second extremely happy winner of these section was Palumbo family with RFI Farid getting 3 preferences for World Champion, finally grabbing the Bronze Medal after Fadi Al Shaqab having 5 preferences for Silver medal and one for Gold. The confrontation in the seniors was also highly awaited as another battle of two past competitors and paternal halfbrothers, both born in the US Baanderos from Al Khalediah and QR Marc for Paul Gheysens were to 180 TUTTO ARABI

20 fratelli hanno dovuto competere, ancora una volta, nella stessa classe. QR Marc anche se magistralmente presentato da Paolo Capecci è stato battuto da Baanderos che ha totalizzato 6,5 punti in più, la preferenze è stata quasi unanime (6 voti) per il titolo di Campione del Mondo che ha confermato la sua dominanza. QR Marc, comunque, ha lasciato Parigi con la Medaglia d Argento e il trofeo Miglior Testa dello Show. Il Bronzo è stato assegnato al compagno di scuderia di Baanderos, l ex Riserva Campione del Mondo Marquis CAHR, anche lui figlio di Marwan Al Shaqab che è tornato negli show ring con la sua spettacolare tipicità, il suo trotto così espressivo e magistralmente presentato da Michael Byatt. Anche nella Sez. B erano presenti cavalli molto importanti tra cui l ex Campione Polacco e Top Ten al Campionato del Mondo vincitore di questa sezione - Poganin della Janów Podlaski Stud, anch esso allevato in Polonia e di proprietà dell OKS Arabians - Girlan-Bey dell Athbah Stud al secondo posto e terzo BS Specific (Francia). Nessuna medaglia assegnata alla Sez B. e per la stessa i titolo di miglior testa è stato assegnato allo splendido MCA Magnum Gold, di proprietà di Sh.Khaled Bagedo dell Arabia Saudita. La finale della Coppa del Mondo si è conclusa con l assegnazione del trofeo al Miglior Cavallo Egiziano in show: SF Shamila, di proprietà di Francesca Tomasoni (Italia); il trofeo per il Miglior Movimento : Rohara Baccara, di proprietà dellanaples Arabians (Svezia); il trofeo Miglior Allevatore assegnato al proprietario di Emandoria ed Emmona Michałów State Stud (Polonia); il trofeo per la Fattrice col punteggio più alto : FT Shaella della Dubai Stud con i sui 559,5 punti. Sabato, nello show ring e sotto gli sguardi incuriositi di molti spettatori, si è svolta la presentazione del team Ca di Gianni che ha creato una bellissima vetrina di stalloni famosi, future stelle e Campioni già detentori di numerosi titoli: MA Shadow El Sher della Dubai Stud, Magic Magnifique di Fontanella Magic Arabians e HDB Sihr Ibn Massai di proprietà di Giampaolo Gubbiotti, attualmente in leasing a Haras Cruzeiro in Brasile. Subito dopo è stato offerto un aperitivo con degustazione. In questi 30 anni di storia l organizzazione della Coppa del Mondo, i concorrenti, gli spettatori e persino il luogo stesso sono cambiati e continueranno a cambiare come del resto i trend e le mode dell allevamento dei cavalli arabi che è in continua evoluzione. L obbiettivo resta però lo stesso: radunare gli allevatori e gli appassionati di tutto il mondo, ritrovarsi in un unico posto per concludere la stagione di show e celebrare il cavallo arabo in un atmosfera piacevole, serena e corretta. Una fantastica opportunità per tutti coloro che durante l anno sono impegnati con il loro lavoro e la loro vita privata. Auguriamo al campionato del Mondo dei cavalli arabi ancora innumerevoli anni di successi! fight again with each other in the same class. QR Marc left Paris with Silver medal and the deserved Most Beautiful Head trophy, while Bronze medal went to Baanderos stable mate, former World reserve Champion Marquis CAHR, also Marwan Al Shaqab sired, returning to the ring with his spectacular type and expressive trot greatly shown with Michael Byatt on the lead. However none of them got the medals this time the section B of senior males also contained some very high quality entries such as class winner former Polish National Champion and world Top Ten Poganin from Janów Podlaski Stud, also Polishbred and owned by OKS Arabians - Girlan-Bey competing for Athbah Stud as second and BS Specific from France as third placed. The winner of Best Head trophy in this class was impressive MCA Magnum Gold owned by Sh.Khaled Bagedo of Saudi Arabia. The World Championships finals were completed by the special trophies awarding not only the best competitors of the classes but also the Best Egyptian Horse of the show: SF Shamila owned by Francesca Tomasoni from Italy, The horse of the Best Movement: for Rohara Baccara owned by Naples Arabians of Sweden, Best Breeder trophy that went to the owner of Emandoria and Emmona Michałów State Stud of Poland, The Highest Scored Mare of the show for FT Shaella of Dubai Stud for her exceptional 559,5 points, The Best Sire again the trophy to join many for living legend Marwan Al Shaqab going to Al Shaqab Stud and Trophee Espoir chosen by the sponsor Al Khalediah Stables who kindly decided to honor the guest from across the Ocean El Chall WR. Undoubtedly nice accent of this year s show was the Saturday presentation and after party in the collecting ring area with the cocktails and snacks degustation accompanied with the beautiful horses presentation runned by Ca di Gianni team. And so in the line of horses presented to the crowds of curious spectators we saw few well known sires and the future raising stars, all multiple champion title holders already: MA Shadow El Sher from Dubai Stud, Magic Magnifique from Fontanella Magic Arabians and HDB Sihr Ibn Massai owned by Giampaolo Gubbiotti, now on lease to Haras Cruzeiro in Brazil. During 30 years of history the show organizers, competitors and spectators and even the show ground itself have been and are changing, as well as the trends and fashions in Arabian horse breeding evolves, but the idea stays the same gathering the breed enthusiasts from all over the world. To make all those being all year long busy with their everyday business and private life to come together in one place at the end of the season and celebrate an unique Arabian horse in the atmosphere of pleasure, happiness and fair play.
