3 lavora in una scuola she works in a school siamo dottori we are doctors To put dottore into the plural, it follows the same patterns that we know for masculine singular nouns like fratello. Just as fratello becomes fratelli in the plural, dottore becomes dottori. facciamo i dottori we are doctors When we use fare to talk about professions we need the definite article. The definite article for masculine plural nouns is i so we say facciamo i dottori. facciamo le dottoresse we are (female) doctors When we talk about a group of female doctors, the word dottoressa has to become plural giving dottoresse and we need the plural definite article for feminine nouns which is le. Affatto! mi piace mangiare I like eating / to eat Mi piace + an infinitive in Italian translates two ideas in English: the gerund (-ing form) and the infinitive (to do form). Mi piace essere (un) insegnante / fare l insegnante e mi piacciono i miei studenti - the word for the when referring to studenti is gli but because the definite article (i) is separated from the noun (studenti) by the word miei, we don t need to use the word gli and we can just use the normal definite article for masculine plural nouns which is i. 2. Non mi piace fare l infermiere / l infermiera perché non mi piace lavorare in un ospedale OR Non mi piace essere (un) infermiere / (un )infermiera perché non mi piace lavorare in un ospedale. 3. Lavoro troppo allora mi piace andare al cinema (per rilassarmi). 4. Non mi piace per niente il mio ufficio ma adoro il tuo ufficio / non mi piace affatto il mio ufficio ma adoro il tuo ufficio - you can also say adoro il tuo to mean I love yours. 5.
