Zanichelli Materiale video : The Scarlet Letter, Pride and Prejudice Prima di iniziare il programma di letteratura di quarta sono state dedicate diverse lezioni a una breve storia della Gran Bretagna dalle origini a 1066, sotto forma di spot dictations. Hawthorne (video + fotocopie + materiale on-line) Specification 4 : The Romantic Spirit Oltre allo studio del settecento, è stato anticipato il programma di quinta attraverso la visione del film Pride and Prejudice come introduzione a Jane Austen. Infine, alcuni studenti hanno anche deciso di scegliere per l'interrogazione orale la lettura di easyreaders di autori dell'ottocento e del novecento invece di un argomento CLIL (scientifico-tecnologico). Before choosing, remember it could be helpful to visit the two following sites and have a look at the catalogues of easy readers : penguinreaders & blackcat-cideb You can read in original version, in simplified version (easy readers) or in translated version (Italian or any other language).

3 2) SPEAKING : the task for your first mark is based on Paper 4, Part 2 but with a slight adjustment. FCE examiners give both candidates a pair of photographs and a written question relating to them. Then they ask them to compare the pictures and comment on the question. The difference is that I will not give you anonymous photographs. Here is the task : Choose two works of art (such as paintings, sculptures or photos by art photographers). Describe, compare and interpret them, then conclude with a personal comment. The visual materials will be used as aids during the speaking test.
