Sperlonga rise up on a rocky spur protruding into the Tyrrhenian Sea. Due to its location, during the Roman Empire, in the area many villas were built, the most famous is the one belonging to the Roman Emperor Tiberius. Fenice Project (Castore system) A gradual upgrade has been carried out on older lampposts. The discharge lighting fixtures have been replaced with LED ones; significant savings have been made and the quality of the surroundings during night time improved. On the Castor system posts, the old Light 800 without optic have been substituted by Light 803 or Light 804 equipped with Fortimo LEDs. Negli ultimi anni si è proceduto gradualmente alla manutenzione degli impianti più vecchi con la sostituzione dei corpi illuminanti che sono stati equipaggiati non più con lampade a scarica ma con LED, ottenendo consistenti risparmi e un confort notturno altamente qualitativo. A Sperlonga sui pali del sistema Castore, sia piccoli ad una luce che grandi a due e a tre luci, sono state sostituite le vecchie lanterne Light 800, prive di ottica, con Light 803 o Light 804 dotate di LED Fortimo.
