schiffini e l istituto europeo di design schiffini and the european institute of design
La schiffini, da sempre attenta al mondo della cultura ed interessata alle nuove idee progettuali, a inizio anno ha proposto, ad un gruppo di 32 studenti laureandi del corso di industrial design, interior design e scenografia dell istituto europeo di design di Milano, di studiare nuove idee per lo spazio cucina ed il suo interagire con i nuovi e futuri modi di vivere la casa. il brief progettuale prevedeva lo studio di un sistema cucina concentrando l attenzione su un giusto equilibrio qualità-prezzo senza mai perdere di vista l obiettivo eco-sostenibile del contenimento energetico e della natura eco-attenta dei processi produttivi. ovviamente senza compromettere la qualità del prodotto utilizzando materiali scadenti, ma ricercando il risparmio nello studio degli elementi che compongono la cucina e nella loro scomponibilità. Martedì 8 giugno nell aula magna dell istituto europeo di design di Milano, i 32 studenti laureandi, seguiti dal docente Alfonsio Arosio e dall assistente gisella Alfieri sabattini, hanno presentato i loro progetti alla commissione esaminatrice e all azienda, seguendo con successo il brief che è stato loro imposto ad inizio anno. i 10 progetti presentati per la tesi dal titolo eco-kitchen sono: Bon ton, cell Kitchen, era, flux, grid Kitchen, imago, Maison, no Kitchen, non conventional e split. fondamentale la presenza del dott. enrico schiffini, che, dopo la visione dei dieci progetti, la valutazione di ogni singolo progetto e la consegna dei diplomi, si è complimentato personalmente con tutti gli studenti, incitandoli a continuare con successo il loro cammino progettuale. schiffini ha sottolineato la tenuta affettiva e funzionale di questo locale che viene considerato lo spazio di vita più ricco, più complesso e importante della casa: è il luogo in cui, ancor oggi, si vive di più. nel mese di settembre nello schiffini space Milano sarà organizzata una mostra dei progetti e dei plastici eseguiti. schiffini, which has always paid great attention to the cultural world and new project concepts, at the beginning of this year proposed a group of 32 final year students attending the course of industrial design, interior design and scenography at the european institute of design of Milan to study new designs for the kitchen space and its interaction with new and future ways of living the home. the project brief gave the students the indication to design a kitchen system focussed on a fair qualityprice ratio, never forgetting the commitment to energy saving and use of environment friendly manufacturing components and, obviously, never compromising the product quality by use of poor materials. saving should be pursued instead by studying each single element composing the kitchen and its possibility of being fitted as desired. on tuesday 8th June 2010 these 32 final year students, tutored by lecturer arch. Alfonso Arosio and assistant lecturer Ms. gisella Alfieri sabatini, presented their projects based on the brief they were given at the beginning of the year to the board of examiners and the company in the great hall of the institute. ten projects were presented for the thesis titled eco- Kitchen, namely:bon ton, cell Kitchen, era, flux, grid Kitchen, imago, Maison, no Kitchen, non conventional e split. Mr. enrico schiffini, who attended the event, personally congratulated all the students after looking over the ten projects and evaluating each single project, and incited them to continue on the path of design. he also underlined the emotional and functional aspects of the kitchen, which is considered the richest and most important living space of the home: nowadays this still is the room where we spend most of our time. in the next few months there will be a show of these designs and relative plastic models at the schiffini space in Milan.
