In questa raccolta di disegni e dipinti contemporanei vogliamo offrirvi una serie di disegni di importanti autori di testi malacologici che, riteniamo, faranno storia soprattutto perché in questa era

Quando gli strumenti fotografici non erano ancora disponibili, per il nostro piacere e la nostra fortuna, tutto era basato sulle capacità del disegnatore scientifico. Tutti abbiamo avuto modo si vedere tavole iconografiche di animali dei vari Philum, (uccelli, farfalle, insetti, felini, ecc...) e fiori, piante, conchiglie. Tutti abbiamo provato quei momenti di piacere e godimento per l occhio provocati da queste splendide illustrazioni. Per non suddividere le opere in troppe collane, abbiamo deciso di unire disegni e pitture, anche se non di documentazione scientifica, sottolineando nel titolo il nome dell autore e gli anni di pubblicazione o esecuzione degli stessi. Riteniamo che l aspetto didattico di queste bellissime opere possa raggiungere positivamente anche i ragazzi e i giovani di oggi. With this collection of contemporary drawings and paintings we want to offer a series of ancient drawings of malacology of which, we believe, will make history mainly because in this digital age only a few fans and lovers of beautiful design engage in this kind of passion.. When the photographic tools were not yet available, for our pleasure and our luck, everything was based on the ability of the scientific draftsman. All we got to see iconographic boards of various phylum of animals (birds, butterflies, insects, cats, etc...) and flowers, plants, shells. All have experienced those moments of pleasure and enjoyment to the eye caused by these wonderful illustrations. Not to divide the work in too many necklaces, we decided to combine ancient paintings and drawings, even if not of scientific documentation, emphasizing the author's name in the title and year of publication or execution of the same. We believe that the educational aspect of these beautiful works can also achieve positively the today boys and youngs. 3

Purtroppo il suo spendido lavoro, che potete visionare per intero sul nostro sito nella collana Clio le Monografie di Argonauta, è stato pubblicato solo pochi giorni dopo la sua morte. Ricordo che, ingnari della sua dipartita, lo abbiamo chiamato al telefono per dargli la bella notizia apprendendo in quel momento la triste notizia. Ci auguriamo che in qualche modo lui sia ancora in grado di gioire delle nostre manifestazioni di apprezzamento di quanto ci ha offerto. Vi ricordo infine che il suo lavoro, a carattere matematico e artistico, tratta le equazioni alla base dello sviluppo delle conchiglie turricolate Questo lavoro potrà sicuramente essere molto utile nella didattica nelle scuole superiori, sia artistiche che scientifiche.
