SISTEMA INFORMATICO INFORMATIC SYSTEM GESTIONE INFORMATICA S.I.T.T.A.M. ha un sistema informatico centralizzato IBM Risc6000 il cui accesso è esteso a tutte le Filiali, Uffici Commerciali e Controllate come evidenziato nello schema di rete sotto indicato. Tramite il software gestionale è quindi possibile memorizzare tutte le movimentazioni delle merci in import ed export. Questo immagazzinamento di dati può avvenire in due diversi modi: tramite inserimento manuale da parte dell operatore oppure tramite scambio di file EDI con i nostri corrispondenti (circa il 90% delle movimentazioni). Quindi grazie al database di tipo razionale è sempre possibile avere la situazione della vita pratica. Inoltre vengono gestite tutte le attività necessarie all azienda quali la contabilità, la dogana, il reparto commerciale ecc. Grazie alle ottime performance del sistema centrale è possibile avere sempre a disposizione gli ultimi quattro anni dei movimenti, mentre per i precedenti si effettua un salvataggio su nastro con conservazione dello stesso. SALVATAGGIO DATI Per una maggior protezione delle informazioni memorizzate S.I.T.T.A.M. ha previsto due livelli di sicurezza. Il primo, sul sistema centrale grazie alla tecnologia RA15, permette di memorizzare i dati su più dischi, garantendo in questo modo una continuità di servizio anche in caso di guasto di uno di essi. Il secondo salva giornalmente tutti i dati su nastro, con ciclo settimanale. COMPUTER MANAGEMENT S.I.T.T.A.M. has a centralized IBM Risc6000 computer system, which is connected to all its branches, (see network scheme below). All the transactions of the handling of goods for import and export are stored centrally. The data can be entered in two ways: manually by the operator, or by files exchange, EDI, through ours correspondents (approximately 90% of the transactions). Thanks to this database system it is always possible to have the status of any file to hand. Moreover, the same system is used for all the other activities of the company i.e. accounting, customs, sales, marketing etc. Another advantage of this centralized database system is the retrieval of records, up to four years old, whereas previous records are stored on tapes/discs. DATA SAVING For a major protection of the recorded information, S.I.T.T.A.M. provides two levels of safety: based on the central system and thanks to RA15 technology, data can be saved on disks data are saved on a daily tape on a weekly basis In this way, S.I.T.T.A.M. can guarantee the continuity of service in case of breakdown of the central or peripheral system or in case of damage/corrupted disks.
