02 Analysis Ipovedenza Il bambino ipovedente ha limitate opportunità di esplorare il mondo che lo circonda e formarsi un idea dello spazio attorno a sè, ha difficoltà motorie, difficoltà nell interagire con gli altri, e nell apprendere dagli adulti tramite l imitazione dei gesti e dei comportamenti. Ha quindi continuamente bisogno di una stimolazione plurisensoriale, che coinvolga il tatto, l udito e la vista. Per questo motivo il giocattolo deve diventare un strumento dalla forma accattivante, e dalla funzione non solo terapeutica ma anche ludica, capace di favorire nel bambino lo sviluppo cognitivo e motorio. Il bambino ipovedente generalmente gioca con gli stessi giocattoli del bambino normovedente. Nell educazione del bambino ipovedente tuttavia devono essere maggiormente stimolate l abilità tattile, uditiva e di orientamento spaziale. Per questo il giocattolo, dalla forma anche molto semplice ed ergonomica, deve divantare uno strumento di orientamento spaziale e stimolazione sensoriale, anche grazie all aiuto di nuove tecnologie. La capacità dell orientamento spaziale è di sicuro uno degli aspetti di fondamentale importanza nello sviluppo del bambino ipovedente. Gli oggetti comuni offrono stimoli al bambino tramite imput tattili (a contatto) o tramite il suono (che può essere esperito a distanza). Il bambino non vedente deve essere sempre motivato e accompagnato all esplorazione. Mentre ad un bambino vedente gli oggetti gli si presentano davanti e lui ne viene quindi a conoscenza, ad un bambino ipovedente o non vedente bisognerà presentarglieli, metterlo a contatto con essi. 02 Analysis Ipovedenza Scenario L orientamento e il movimento nello spazio prevedono una serie di tappe: 1 individuazione degli obiettivi 2 raccolta delle informazioni sulla collocazione della persona e dell obiettivo 3 elaborazione del piano di azione 4 azione 5 verifica dell avvenuto raggiungimento dell obiettivo. Molto importante per il bambino ipovedente è poter giocare con gli altri bambini. Ad esempio col fratellino più grande. Condividere un esperienza di gioco con gli altri è certamente una gioia e rafforza il legame di affetto. Può dunque essere interessante un gioco che funzioni solo se a giocare siano almeno 2 bambini. Touching Toys by Marcin Osiecki (Design Academy Eindhoven) Touching toys è un giocattolo morbido ma resistente al tatto, che aiuta i bambini disabili a sviluppare il senso dell organizzazione. Vantaggi: - giocattolo realizzato in materiale ecologico; - in grado di stimolare il senso del tatto e la creatività del bambino. Svantaggi: - non essendo un gioco interattivo, aiuta il bambino a sviluppare solo il senso del tatto. 04 Proposals Comparison I tre oggetti hanno una forma molto semplice ed immediata per il bambino. Tutte e tre le soluzioni offrono un valore simbolico all oggetto e ricordano inoltre un contesto spaziale, per cui il bambino enfatizza inconsciamente le proprie capacità, arrivando a sentirsi quasi un supereroe invincibile. Aubergine Sphere Toro Vantaggi: - forma ergonomica, facile da afferrare e maneggiare grazie ad una linea organica che ricorda quasi un ortaggio; - l oggetto risulta perfettamente bilanciato, nei due rigonfiamenti laterali si possono inserire facilmente batterie e sensori. Svantaggi: - ingombrante, poco pratico da riporre. Vantaggi: - forma ergonomica, facile da afferrare, soluzione meno ingombrante e più compatta; - l impugnatura obbligata e al tempo stesso molto libera, fa in modo che il polso diventi l unico punto di forza per manipolare il gioco; - manutenzione molto semplice. 06 Appendix Team Arturo Vittori Andreas Vogler Massimiliano Caretti Raffi Tchakerian Martina Patrizi (Viterbo, October 1, 1971), Italian architect and designer, is a founder of the research and design studio Architecture and Vision. After graduating from the Faculty of Architecture at the University of Florence, he gained experiences collaborating with architects such as Santiago Calatrava and Jean Nouvel. From 2002 to 2004 he was Manager of Cabin Design at Airbus, in Toulouse (France), taking part also in the design of interior cabin design for the first A380; from 2004 to 2006 he worked with Future Systems, collaborating with Anish Kapoor in the design of the Monte Sant Angelo subway station in Naples, (Italy), while in 2006 he practiced yacht design at the London-based studio Francis Design. He has spoken at numerous international conferences on the topics of aerospace architecture, technology transfer and eco-sustainability, and also taught and lead workshops on a variety of related themes. In 2008, he team-taught an undergraduate course in Industrial Design, at the First Faculty of Architecture L. Quaroni, University of Rome La Sapienza, and he taught a graduate course in Product Design at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the University Iuav of Venice. He is a member of the Order of Architects of Viterbo Province, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). (Basel, January 15, 1964), Swiss architect and designer, is a founder of the research and design studio Architecture and Vision. He worked as an interior designer before graduating from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zürich in 1994. He then collaborated with Christoph Ingenhoven and with Richard Horden, later becoming his teaching and research assistant at the Technical University of Munich. In 1998 he started his own practice in Munich, and until 2000 taught alternate semester courses in aerospace design. He was a Guest Professor (2003-2005) at The Royal Academy of Fine Arts, School of Architecture in Copenhagen, and in 2005-2006, he participated in the Concept House research group at the Delft University of Technology. He has spoken at numerous international conferences on space architecture and technology transfer to architecture, and has also organized conferences of significant scientific relevance. In 2008, he team-taught an undergraduate course in Industrial Design, at the First Faculty of Architecture L. Quaroni, University of Rome La Sapienza. He is a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects (ByAK), the Deutscher Werkbund, and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). Massimiliano Caretti is a postgraduate student of Psychology of Information Processing and Knowledge Representation at Department of Psychology I at University La Sapienza of Rome. His research interests are: software and hardware for autonomous robots, customised sensors, evolutionary robotics. Computational neuroscience, bio-inspired models, development of simulation models of individual and social behaviors through neural networks, genetical algorithms and models of artificial life. Other research activity are assistive interactive technology for cognitive rehabilitation and ambient intelligence in Health Care. Lebanese of Armenian origin, born 1st of January 1985 in Beirut. In 2004 obtains a technical baccalaureate in Interior Design at the Institute of Sciences and Technologies in Beirut. Afterwards, transfers to Italy to continue his studies in the field of Industrial Design at the IUAV University of Venice graduating in September 2008. Right after graduation he remains in the Iuav s design faculty following a 2 year program & graduating with honors in July 2010 in the Masters Course of Product Design, with a final thesis project on aerospace design. During the years of his graduate program, he has collaborated with ArchitectureandVision and the Space Architects Arturo Vittori and Andreas Vogler, contributing to many projects like MoonVille, MoonBaseTwo, Fiore del Cielo, MercuryHouseOne, etc. Currently Tchakerian is collaborating with Prof. Arch. Arturo Vittori both in the academic with the advanced design laboratories, the new research unit, and in the work field other then taking ahead a Phd degree in Sciences of Design at Iuav. (Roma, January 7, 1988), lives in Fabrica di Roma, in the province of Viterbo. Inclined to art and music from an early age, attended the Institute of Art in Civita Castellana, specializing in design, obtaining the graduation in 2007. She enrolled in the degree course in Design, at Sapienza University in Rome and obtained the degree in product desgn in 2010. Now she affronts with passion each new experience, to mature and deepen her passions, as freehand drawing, photography, design, graphic.
