2 1. Bring the boom in horizontal position and make the extension completely retract. 2. Remove the rear panel. 3. Remove the front guard on the boom hood.

3 4. In case of machine with basket pre-arrangement, remove the socket from the electric board and repeat the same axles found inside the false socket on the boom 5. In case of machine with basket pre-arrangement, disconnect the 24 wires inside the socket. 6. In case of machine with electric contact only, disconnect the 6 wires inside the socket.

4 7. Start-up the engine and lift the boom. 8. Switch-off the engine and secure the safety support to the lifting cylinder. 9. Remove the side guard of the cab and start disconnecting the cable: A - Winch basket pre-arrangement. B - Electric contact pre-arrangement. A B

5 10. Bring the disconnected cable in the rear part of the boom removing the retainer clamps. 11. Remove the safety support on the lifting cylinder and lower the boom. 12. Bring the boom in horizontal position, turn the fork holding plate forward until it reaches horizontal position and switchoff the engine.

6 13. Mark the original positions of the four pipes arriving on the boom head and disconnect them Lato anteriore braccio 14. To facilitate the extraction operation and the successive introduction of the pipes in the chute, it is advised to partially remove the swivel cylinder. 15. Using a clamp tighten the swivel cylinder and keep it fastened to lifting equipment.

7 16. Remove the upper pin of the swivel cylinder. 17. Slowly lower the swivel cylinder together with the fork holding plate until bringing the same in vertical position. Fasten it to the side retainer. 18. We will now have free access to the operations inside the boom head.

8 19. Tighten a rope of at least 6m to one of the pipes; the same rope will be used for the insertion of the pipes and electric cable during the remounting phases. 20. Pass to the rear part of the boom. 21. Remove the upper pipe clamp blocks.

9 22. Disconnect the tubes from the extension cylinder. 23. Disconnect all tubes coming out from the hose carrier chain connected to the tubes arriving from the distributor. Close or join two pairs of tubes to avoid oil leaks. 24. Pull and remove all pipes and the electric cable from inside the extension. Loosen the rope connected to the tube in phase 19, leaving it inside the chute.

10 25. Loosen the screws of the lower hose carrier chain terminal and those of the upper terminal. 26. Remove the chain with pipes and electric cable from the boom and spread it on the floor. 27. Remove the tubes and the electric cable from the hose carrier chain marking the position that must be kept in the new chain also.

11 28. Spread the new chain and insert the tubes and electric cable (reverse procedure of the previous phase). Keep the position of the tubes like in the region. Side A: mm for hydraulic tubes. - 5 m for the electric cable. A B Insert the new hose carrier chain with tubes and electric cable inside the boom and proceed with reverse operation for the fastening in point Tighten the rope to the fitting of tube 4 and fix the other tubes and electric cable, staggered by about 100 mm, to it.

Pass to the front part of the boom, pull the tubes inside the chute, therefore remove the rope and clamps from the tubes and from the electric cable making them come out from the front hole of the extension respecting the original path. 32. Fix the tubes of the extension cylinder. 33. Carry out reverse operations with phase sequence 17 and 16.

13 34. Lift the boom, switch-off the engine and position the safety support. DO NOT perform any other manoeuvre. 35. Secure the electric cable. Secure everything using appropriate clamps. 36. Completely fasten the connection tubes inside the central part of the machine. Secure everything using appropriate clamps.

14 37. Remove the safety support from the lifting cylinder and lower the boom, check that all operations have been correctly carried out. 38. Assemble all guards and panels removed in points 2 and 3.
