2a 2b 2c 2d Matching activity, fill in the gaps su ohm law Tabella con termini specifici Completamento reading con termini specifici Problem solving 1) Write Ohm s law and then answer the questions below A 65 Ω circuit is powered by a 110 volt energy source. What is the current flowing in the circuit? What is the voltage of a circuit with a resistance of 200 Ωs and a current of 1,45 amps? A 70 Ω circuit is powered by a 110 volt energy source. What is the current flowing in the circuit? 2) Use your knowledge of Ohm s law to fill in the blanks in the following sentence using the words listed below: Inversely - current resistance-electrical circuit voltage- resistor Ohm's law says that in an electrical circuit, the current passing through a resistor between two points, is related to the voltage difference between the two points, and inversely related to the electrical resistance between the two points. Matching activity 3) Match the terms with the correct definition- Letters to numbers A) Electrical resistance 1) is a closed path which electrons from a voltage or current source follow B)An electrical circuit 2)is the flow of electric charge C)Current 3) is an electronic component that restricts the flow of current in an electrical/electronic circuit D) A resistor 4) is the change in electric potential between two points E) Voltage 5) is the measure of the opposition to the passage of an electric current 4) Ohm s law read the passage and then answer the questions below Probably the most important mathematical relationship between voltage, current and resistance in electricity is something called Ohm s Law. A man named George Ohm published this formula in 1827 based on his experiments with electricity. This formula is used to calculate electrical values so that we can design circuits and use electricity in a useful manner. Ohm's Law is shown below. OHM'S LAW I = V/R,
I = current, V = voltage, and R = resistance Let s look at what Ohm s Law tells us; the formula is I = V/R, Ohm's Law tells us that the electrical current in a circuit can be calculated by dividing the voltage by the resistance. In other words, the current is directly proportional to the voltage and inversely proportional to the resistance. So, an increase in the voltage will increase the current as long as the resistance is held constant. Alternately, if the resistance in a circuit is increased and the voltage does not change, the current will decrease. 5) True/ false exercise- answer the questions below 1) Ohm s law is a mathematical relationship between voltage, current and resistance T F 2) George Ohm published this formula in 1927 T F 3) He based on his experiments with electricity T F 4) Ohm s Law tells us the formula is I = V/R T F 5) The current is directly proportional to the voltage T F 6) Word Chart- fill the chart below with the right translation Ex. Current- corrente electrical circuit current corrente resistor electrical resistance voltage amperes volts Resistance
