The European Project C.A.R.E. Accessible Cities of European Regions involved 16 European partners, directed by Emilia-Romagna Regional Administration. The aim is to build a network of cities all welcoming and accessible for everyone. Through a special C.A.R.E. methodology (see www.interreg-care.org) 13 partners surveyed the required information so that the prospective tourists will be able to evaluate whether the facilities can satisfy their needs or not. The resulting itineraries described in the booklets Travelling in Europe A guide to welcoming and accessible cities are not accessible itineraries, but a set of services and facilities which can satisfy the need of a guaranteed information for tourists with special needs. Il Progetto Europeo C.A.R.E. - Città Accessibili delle Regioni Europee ha coinvolto 16 partner europei, coordinati dalla Regione Emilia-Romagna, con l obiettivo di creare una rete di città ospitali ed accessibili. È stata elaborata un apposita metodologia C.A.R.E. (www.interregcare.org) con la quale 13 partner del progetto hanno rilevato sul proprio territorio informazioni necessarie affinché i visitatori possano valutare se le strutture di interesse turistico sono in grado di soddisfare le loro necessità. Forlì is plenty of resources for tourists, many more than you can imagine. Hidden corners, valuable artistic and historical witnesses: it is a town to discover, since not all its treasures are brought into prominence as it is the case in other places, not everything is in the limelight. Information tools offering different itineraries according to tourists orientations and also specifically designed ones to satisfy different types of tourism, are particularly useful. Therefore, a detailed analysis of the accessibility of the most remarkable monuments of the city centre of Forlì has been carried out, paying a special attention to the accessibility by people with impairments. A lot of work has been done and is still being done in order to ensure accessibility to all sites of the town, by eliminating, from time to time and especially during restoration and regeneration works, the existing barriers due to the historical structure of the most ancient buildings. The accurate surveys made just ahead of this project represent the cornerstone for reaching full accessibility to the priceless artistic and architectural heritage of Forlì in a short time. Ricca di angoli nascosti, di preziose testimonianze artistiche e storiche, è tuttavia una città che va scoperta, perché non tutti i suoi tesori sono enfatizzati come altrove, non tutto è sotto i riflettori. Di conseguenza si rivelano particolarmente utili quegli strumenti informativi che possono delineare itinerari differenziati a seconda del tipo di ricerca verso la quale il visitatore è orientato, ma soprattutto verso le diverse tipologie di visitatore. In questo caso è stata effettuata un indagine approfondita sulle caratteristiche di accessibilità di alcuni tra i monumenti più significativi del centro storico forlivese, con particolare attenzione alle potenzialità di fruizione da parte dei visitatori diversamente abili. Molto si è fatto, molto si sta ancora facendo per garantire tale fruizione su tutti i siti forlivesi, superando di volta in volta, soprattutto in occasione di lavori di restauro e ripristino, quelle che sono le difficoltà poste in essere dalla storicità strutturale degli edifici più antichi. Gli accurati rilievi condotti nell imminenza di questo progetto costituiscono un importante base per giungere a tempi brevi ad una fruibilità effettiva di un patrimonio artistico ed architettonico di raro pregio, come quello forlivese. FORLÌ: AN ITINERARY THROUGH THE HISTORY OF THE TOWN, FROM S. DOMENICO MUSEUM COMPLEX TO FRANCO AGOSTO CITY PARK. FORLÌ: ITINERARIO NELLA STORIA DI UNA CITTÀ, DAL COMPLESSO MUSEALE DEL S. DOMENICO AL PARCO URBANO FRANCO AGOSTO Forlì is so rich in places, corners and architectural landscapes where you can find traces of the history and witnesses of remarkable artistic value, that it is rightly recognised as an art town. Most monuments are in the city centre where you can make the richest and most exhaustive stroll ever. Start your tour from the oldest district of the town: the Schiavonia district. Strolling along Corso Garibaldi you ll see the profile of Chiesa della Trinità, probably the first church to be built in Forlì which hosts, among others, a valuable marble work by Canova. Going on towards the centre, among palaces and alleys dating back to the eighteenth century, you will reach an open space overlooked by the Cathedral. Its nineteenth century façade opens up to an interior rich in artistic witnesses, among which a beautiful dome with frescoes by Cignani is worth mentioning. From the Cathedral, you can take Via delle Torri, on the left, and if you turn left into Via Mentana, you will see the oldest cinema in Forlì where original environments from the beginning of the Twentieth century are still in place. Following the alley you will arrive at the foot of a tower which belonged to the Numai family in the Middle Ages. Opposite the building stands the Ferrante Foschi Ornithological Museum, which is hosted in the palace having the same name. La città di Forlì conta molti luoghi, scorci urbanistici, paesaggi architettonici attraverso i quali è possibile leggere le tracce della storia e trovare testimonianze di rilevante interesse artistico, tali da giustificare la sua qualificazione come Città d arte. La maggiore concentrazione di opere monumentali è individuabile nel centro storico, all interno del quale è delimitata l area più idonea per un percorso esauriente e articolato. Tale percorso può prendere le mosse dal quartiere di Schiavonia, il più antico della città. Qui, lungo Corso Garibaldi, si staglia la sagoma della Chiesa della Trinità, forse la prima chiesa forlivese che conserva tra le altre cose un pregevole marmo del Canova. Proseguendo verso il centro, tra palazzi e vicoli settecenteschi, si giunge allo slargo sul quale si affaccia il Duomo, la cui facciata ottocentesca introduce ad ambienti ricchi di testimonianze artistiche, non ultima una bellissima cupola affrescata dal Cignani. Sulla sinistra del Duomo si può imboccare via delle Torri e, svoltato per via Mentana, passare di fronte al più antico cinematografo di Forlì, l Apollo, che conserva ancora all interno ambienti originali del primo Novecento. Seguendo la stradina ci si trova ai piedi di una torre che fu nel medioevo della famiglia Numai. Proprio di fronte, l ingresso del Museo Ornitologico Ferrante Foschi, ospitato dall omonimo palazzo.

Take a few steps along Corso Mazzini and you will see the Chiesa del Carmine, with its magnificent portal which, in the fifteenth century, was placed on the façade of the Cathedral. Carry on for a few hundreds of meters to the South and you will be in Piazza Saffi, overlooked by the bell tower of the San Mercuriale Abbey which hosts valuable Romanesque and gothic witnesses. Going to the East, you will arrive at the Chiesa di San Pellegrino, with its fourteenth century portal and magnificent medieval works inside. If you then move in the opposite direction, you ll first pass by the impressive building of the Diego Fabbri Theatre, and the Oratory of San Sebastiano, a jewel dating back to the fifteenth century, and then you ll reach the convent complex of San Domenico, where restoration works are going on well: it will accommodate the art gallery and all the museums of the town. At a short walk, there is the pedestrian entrance to the big city park, on one side, while the impressive Fortress of Ravaldino stands on the other side. Outside the city walls, in Via Firenze, there is the house-museum of Villa Saffi dating back to the Risorgimento period. Qualche passo lungo Corso Mazzini ed ecco la Chiesa del Carmine, col magnifico portale che nel Quattrocento era posto sulla facciata del Duomo. Di qui, a poche centinaia di metri verso sud, si entra nella grande Piazza Saffi dominata dal campanile dell Abbazia di San Mercuriale, scrigno di testimonianze dei periodi romanico e gotico. Orientandosi verso Est, ci si può dirigere verso la chiesa di San Pellegrino col suo portale trecentesco e magnifiche opere medioevali all interno e poi, prendendo la direzione opposta, fiancheggiato il poderoso edificio del Teatro Diego Fabbri e quindi il gioiello quattrocentesco dell Oratorio di San Sebastiano, puntare diritti verso il complesso conventuale di San Domenico, i cui lavori di ristrutturazione sono a buon punto e che ospiterà Pinacoteca e Musei cittadini. A due passi: l ingresso pedonale del grande Parco Urbano da un lato, l imponente Rocca di Ravaldino dall altro. Fuori porta, lungo la via Firenze, la casa-museo risorgimentale di Villa Saffi.

Chiesa della SS.ma Trinità (Church) Piazza Melozzo, 7 - Forlì 0543 36475 The Chiesa della SS.ma Trinità is one of the oldest in the city. The building has a private car park where the disabled can park. The distance to cover is roughly 10 m on cobbles and stone. The entrance, with a manual double-leaf door, has a 7 cm step. The central nave and the various lateral chapels are easy to access, while to reach the main altar there are 3 steps. On the left of the entrance you can admire the bishop s chair of San Mercuriale and the head of the Saint in a chapel to the right. In the first column to the left you can see the funeral mask of Domenico Manzoni, by Antonio Canova. No guided tours are envisaged but you can ask for a guidebook in Italian containing the main information on the church. La Chiesa della SS.ma Trinità è una delle più antiche della città. La struttura dispone di un parcheggio privato dove possono parcheggiare le persone disabili. Il percorso è di circa 10 m in ciotolato e pietra. L entrata, con porta manuale a battenti, presenta un gradino di 7 cm. La navata centrale e le varie Cappelle laterali sono facilmente fruibili, mentre per raggiungere l altare maggiore è necessario superare 3 gradini. A sinistra dell ingresso si può ammirare la cattedra vescovile di San Mercuriale e in una Cappella a destra, la testa del Santo. Da segnalare nella prima colonna a sinistra la scultura funeraria a Domenico Manzoni, eseguita da Antonio Canova. Non sono previste visite guidate ma si può richiedere una guida cartacea in italiano con le informazioni principali riguardo alla Chiesa. Duomo (Santa Croce) (Church) Piazza Ordelaffi 0543 34697 The Duomo (Santa Croce) dates back to the tenth century and is dedicated to the Holy Cross due to the presence of a relic, currently conserved in the Treasury of the Cathedral. The building has no private car park but there is a public car park with 4 parking places for the disabled. The distance to cover is 50 m with slightly uneven paving. The main entrance, like the secondary entrance on the left, has 2 manual double-leaf doors with a width of 60 cm. There are no obstacles. The central nave and the various lateral chapels are easy to reach, while there are 5 steps to access to the main altar. The Cappella della Madonna del Fuoco, dedicated to the patron saint of the town, has a magnificent fresco of the Assunzione della Vergine (the Assumption of the Holy Virgin), the last great work of the European baroque era. From the Cappella del S.S. Sacramento you can reach the Treasury of the Madonna del Fuoco. No guided tours are envisaged but you can ask for a guidebook in Italian with the main information on the church. Il Duomo (Santa Croce) risale al X secolo e venne dedicato alla Santa Croce per la presenza di una reliquia, attualmente conservata nel Tesoro del Duomo. La struttura non dispone di parcheggio privato ma è presente un parcheggio pubblico con 4 posti auto per disabili. Il percorso è di 50 m con pavimentazione leggermente sconnessa. L entrata principale, così come quella secondaria posta nel lato sinistro, dispone di 2 porte manuali a battenti di larghezza 60 cm e non presenta ostacoli. La navata centrale e le varie Cappelle laterali sono facilmente fruibili, mentre per raggiungere l altare maggiore è necessario superare 5 gradini. La Cappella della Madonna del Fuoco, dedicata alla patrona della città, presenta il grande affresco dell Assunzione della Vergine, ultimo grande capolavoro della decorazione barocca europea. Cinema Apollo (Cinema) Via Mentana, 8 - Forlì 0543 32118 0543 32118 cineapollo@libero.it The Apollo Cinema, situated just a short distance from Piazza Saffi, has no private car park but at roughly 10 m there are paying parking places. The entrance, with a manual double-leaf door, has sunken carpet. The building has 2 floors connected by 3 flights of stairs (26 steps) with a handrail on the right. On the ground floor you will find the Ticket office (desk 105), the bar, the waiting room and the stalls (230 seats), with 4 reserved for the disabled in the last row. The restroom has a tight fit concertina door of 34 cm. On the top floor you will find the circle (40 seats) with 5 steps; often this zone remains closed. All the environments are carpeted. Il Cinema Apollo, situato a pochi metri da Piazza Saffi, non dispone di parcheggio privato ma a circa 10 m ci sono posti auto a pagamento. L entrata, con porta a battenti manuale, presenta un tappeto incassato. La struttura si sviluppa su 2 piani collegati da 3 rampe di scale (26 gradini) con corrimano a destra. Al piano terra ci sono la Biglietteria (bancone 105), il bar, la sala attesa e la Platea (230 posti), con n. 4 posti riservati ai disabili nell ultima fila. Il servizio igienico, con antibagno con porte a ventola di 34 cm, è molto ridotto. Al piano superiore c è la Galleria (40 posti) con 5 gradini interni; spesso questa zona rimane chiusa. Tutti gli ambienti sono arredati con moquette. Museo Ornitologico Palazzo Foschi - Numai (Ornithological museum) The Ornithological museum is on the ground floor of Palazzo Foschi-Numai. The Palazzo, built between the fourteenth and the fifteenth century, was renovated in the next century by Pino Numai. The rooms are decorated with Numai coats of arms. The entrance, with a manual double-leaf door, is 62 cm wide and has a 17 cm step. From the entrance you come to a portico with uneven paving. From here, on one side after a step you can gain access to 2 exhibition rooms of the museum. On the other side, again after passing a step, you come to a small library with an audiovisual room and a toilet (quite small). The environments are spacious. At the bottom of the gallery you can admire an elegant fifteenth-century courtyard with porticos on three sides. It has stone columns and Corinthian capitals, with the Numai coat of arms. Il Palazzo, costruito fra il XIV e il XV secolo e ristrutturato un secolo dopo da Pino Numai, presenta stanze variamente voltate con stemmi Numai. L entrata, con porta manuale a battenti di larghezza 62 cm, presenta un gradino di 17 cm. Dall entrata si raggiunge un loggiato con pavimentazione sconnessa dalla quale si può accedere, da una parte, superando un gradino, alle 2 sale espositive del museo e dall altro, superando sempre un gradino, ad una piccola biblioteca con aula video e servizio igienico (di ridotte dimensioni). Gli ambienti sono abbastanza spaziosi. In fondo al loggione è possibile ammirare un elegante cortile quattrocentesco con portico su tre lati, composto da colonnine in pietra e capitelli di ordine corinzio, con stemmi dei Numai. Previa richiesta è possibile usufruire di visite guidate. Chiesa del Carmine (Church) Corso Mazzini, 76 - Forlì 0543 23955 The building of the Chiesa del Carmine, started in 1735, on the project by Giuseppe Merenda, was completed in 1783. As a witness of the Ordelaffi family, the facade has a portal made of Istria stone which was originally commissioned for the Cathedral: the portal lunette portrays San Valeriano on horseback and above him the Patron Saints of the city and the coat of arms of the Ordelaffi family. The single-nave interior dates back to the eighteenth century and the barrel vault portrays the Allegory of Virtues; the walnut wood choir-stalls are worth mentioning and above them there is a copy of the Annunciation by Palmezzano. The building has no private car park, but at about 20 m from both the main entrance and the secondary one, there are paying places and at roughly 50 m, 2 places reserved for disabled people are available; the distance to cover is on asphalt and porphyry and is not protected. The main entrance has a step plus 4 subsequent ones, while the secondary one (Piazza del Carmine) has only one step. The nave is easily accessible, while to get to the Chapels you have to pass one step and four consecutive ones to reach the main altar and the choir. No guided tours are envisaged, but an information board presents the history of the Church in Italian. La Chiesa del Carmine, iniziata nel 1735 su disegno di Giuseppe Merenda, fu terminata nel 1783. A testimonianza degli Ordelaffi, la facciata presenta un portale in sasso d Istria originariamente commissionato per il Duomo: esso presenta una lunetta con San Valeriano a cavallo sovrastato dai Santi protettori della città e dalle insegne degli Ordelaffi. L'interno settecentesco ha impianto a navata unica e il tema della volta a botte è l'allegoria delle Virtù; da segnalare il coro in noce, dove è custodita una copia dell'annunciazione del Palmezzano. La struttura non dispone di parcheggio riservato agli utenti ma sia a 20 m dall entrata principale che dalla secondaria, sono presenti posti auto a pagamento, e a 50 m 2 posti auto riservati ai disabili; il percorso è in porfido e asfalto non protetto. L entrata principale presenta un gradino e successivi 4, mentre quella secondaria (Piazza del Carmine) un gradino isolato. La navata è facilmente fruibile mentre per accedere alle Cappelle è necessario superare un gradino e per raggiungere l altare maggiore ed il coro 4 gradini consecutivi. Non sono previste visite guidate ma c è un pannello informativo in italiano con la storia della Chiesa. Basilica di San Mercuriale (Church) Piazza Saffi, 29/b - Forlì 0543 25653 0543 39868 www.sanmercuriale.it donquinto@tin.it The Basilica of San Mercuriale, rebuilt by the Vallombrosani in Romanesque style after a devastating fire in 1173, represents the hub of the old-town centre of Forlì. It is the church-museum of the city and contains numerous works of art, such as the pale by Palmezzano. The building has no private car park but there are 2 parking places for the disabled beside the entrance. The main entrance, with a manual door, has 4 steps with 2 ramps that have a maximum slope of 10%; the stone floor has crosswise grooves. The central and lateral naves have slightly uneven paving; there are 8 steps to reach the altar and another 3 to reach the choir. To reach the Cappella del SS. Sacramento you have to pass a single step, while for the Cappella Mercuriali there are 4 steps and for the Cappella dei Ferri, 3. The outer cloister can be reached from the car park with 2 ramps with a slope of 10% and of 18%, respectively. There are no guided tours but inside you will find 2 information columns with earphones which, upon payment, display images and playback information on the history of the church. La Basilica di San Mercuriale, ricostruita dai vallombrosani in stile romanico in seguito al devastante incendio del 1173, rappresenta il perno del centro storico della città di Forlì. Viene definita la chiesa-museo della città per le numerose opere d arte in essa conservate, come ad esempio le pale del Palmezzano. La struttura non dispone di parcheggio privato ma sono presenti 2 posti auto dedicati ai disabili a lato dell entrata. L entrata principale, con porta manuale, presenta 4 gradini superabili con 2 rampe con pendenza massima del 10%; da segnalare pavimentazione in pietra con tagli trasversali. La navata centrale e quelle laterali presentano una pavimentazione leggermente sconnessa; è possibile accedere all altare tramite 8 gradini e con altri 3 al coro. Per raggiungere la Cappella del SS. Sacramento è necessario superare un gradino isolato mentre per la Cappella Mercuriali 4 e per la Cappella dei Ferri 3. Il chiostro esterno si può raggiungere dal parcheggio con 2 rampe con pendenza del 10% e del 18%. Non sono previste visite guidate ma all interno ci sono 2 colonnine con cuffie che, a pagamento, permettono di vedere immagini e ascoltare informazioni sulla storia della Chiesa. Basilica-Santuario S. Pellegrino Laziosi (Church) Piazza Morgagni - Forlì 0543 34245 0543 25643 The Basilica-Santuario is dedicated to San Pellegrino Laziosi, who is the patron saint of people suffering from cancer. Celebrations are held on the 1 st of May with citrons offered to the visitors. The building has no reserved car park but 10 m away there are paying public parking places, and 30 m away there are 2 parking places reserved for the disabled. The distance to cover has slightly uneven paving. The entrance, with a manual double-leaf door, has 2 steps. The central and lateral naves have no obstacles, like the Cappella di San Pellegrino, where you can find the tomb of the saint. To reach the altar you have to pass 3 steps and another to reach the choir. There is one step to the Cloister, and another 2 consecutive steps. Then you reach the Capitular hall with a 3 cm step. No toilet. The building has 3 mobile ramps made of wood that are used when needed (maximum slope 36%). No guided tours are envisaged but there are guidebooks inside the church in Italian, English and German with the main information on the Basilica. La Basilica-Santuario è dedicata a San Pellegrino Laziosi, protettore contro le malattie tumorali e festeggiato il 1 maggio con l offerta di cedri. La struttura non dispone di parcheggio riservato agli utenti ma a 10 m ci sono posti auto pubblici a pagamento e a 30 m 2 posti auto riservati ai disabili. Il percorso presenta una pavimentazione leggermente sconnessa. L entrata, con porta a battenti manuale, presenta 2 gradini. La navata centrale e quelle laterali non presentano ostacoli, come la Cappella di San Pellegrino, dove sono depositate le sue spoglie. Per raggiungere l altare è necessario superare 3 gradini e con un altro si arriva al coro. È possibile accedere al Chiostro tramite un gradino e poi altri 2 consecutivi e, successivamente, alla sala Capitolare con uno di 3 cm. Non è presente un servizio igienico. La struttura dispone di 3 rampe mobili in legno da collocare all occorrenza (pendenza massima del 36%). Non sono previste visite guidate ma all interno della chiesa sono presenti guide cartacee in italiano, inglese e tedesco con le informazioni principali riguardo alla Basilica. Teatro Diego Fabbri (Theatre) Corso Diaz, 47 - Forlì 0543 712171 0543 712163 www.teatrodiegofabbri.it spase@comune.forli.fo.it The Diego Fabbri Theatre, situated in one of the historical streets of the city, has no private car park, but at 20 m there are paying parking places with 2 reserved parking places for the disabled. The main entrance, with a manual doubleleaf door, has 4 consecutive steps, while the entrance reserved for the disabled (Via Dall Aste) has a lift (entrance 92 cm; interior 120x135 cm) with an alarm bell at a height of 109 cm. The building has 3 floors; from the ground floor you can reach the basement thanks to the lift (entrance 100 cm; width 114 cm; depth 110 cm) while on the 1 st floor the only access is through the stairs. On the ground floor there are the stalls, with a slight slope, where you can obtain roughly 50 places for the disabled (possibility of removing whole rows of seats). In the basement you can find the cloakroom and a toilet for the disabled, spacious and fitted with handles. The cloakroom is connected to the bar and hall by 9 steps with a stairs lift and platform for the wheelchair (the key can be obtained from the staff). All the environments are spacious with easy access. On the 1 st floor you will find the carpeted circle, with 13 steps. Il Teatro Diego Fabbri, situato in una delle vie storiche della città, non dispone di parcheggio privato ma a 20 m ci sono posti auto a pagamento e 2 posti riservati ai disabili. La struttura si sviluppa su 3 piani; dal piano terra si può raggiungere il piano interrato grazie a un elevatore (ingresso 100 cm; larghezza 114 cm; profondità 110 cm) mentre al 1 piano si può accedere solo con le scale. It consists of a church and a convent with two cloisters. No private car park is available, but at about 30 m, you will find public paying parking places with 3 places reserved for the disabled. The distance to cover is paved with stones with crosswise grooves and is slightly sloping. The entrance, with manual double-leaf doors, has no obstacles. The complex spreads over 2 floors connected by two flights of stairs (32 steps) with handrail on both sides; wheelchair users will be accompanied by the staff and will use a lift (entrance: 79 cm) to get to the rooms, through a ramp with a slope of 9%. All exhibition rooms are easily accessible and only one can be reached through 12 steps, which can be easily overcome using the lift. On the ground floor there are a bookshop and a bar; on the first floor a room for educational activities. All the rooms are extremely spacious. The two floors are provided with two restrooms each, wide enough and fitted with handles. Parco Urbano Franco Agosto (City park) Via fiume Montone; Via Pertini - Forlì 0543 34971 The F. Agosto city park stretches along Viale dell Appennino and is directly connected to the San Domenico Museum complex through a 800 m cycle and pedestrian path with gently sloping stretches. The two main entrances, on via Montone and via Pertini, have no obstacles and are provided with wide car parks with three places reserved for the disabled at 20 m. All paths are paved with asphalt and porphyry; they snake regularly and present some sloping stretches (slight or steep slope). Within the park you will find playgrounds for kids, a lake, benches to sit and relax in the middle of a green oasis and the following sports facilities: basketball court, 5-player soccer field, volleyball court and bocce (lawn bowling) court. Next to the sports facilities, there is a restroom for people with disabilities, which is spacious and fitted with handles. Playgrounds for kids are scattered throughout the park; they are all with dirt and gravel. The park is home to wild rabbits, ducks and geese. Inside the park there are the La collina dei conigli pub and the Peter Pan restaurant and pizzeria, equipped with restroom for disabled people. On request, special menus are available for people with specific nutritional requirements. Il Parco Urbano F. Agosto si sviluppa lungo Viale dell Appennino ed è collegato direttamente al complesso museale S. Domenico tramite un percorso ciclabile e pedonale di 800 m circa a tratti in pendenza. Le 2 entrate principali, via Montone e via Pertini, sono prive di ostacoli e presentano ampi parcheggi con 3 posti auto riservati ai disabili a 20 m. Tutti i percorsi sono caratterizzati da sentieri in porfido e asfalto con andamento regolare a tratti in pendenza (lieve o eccessiva). All interno si possono trovare aree gioco per bambini, un lago, panchine dove sedersi e rilassarsi in mezzo al verde, e il centro sportivo, con campi da basket, calcetto, beach-volley e bocce. Vicino al Centro sportivo c è il servizio igienico per disabili, ampio e dotato di maniglioni. Le aree gioco per bambini sono dislocate in più punti e hanno una pavimentazione in ghiaia o terra battuta; da segnalare la presenza di conigli, anatre e oche che vivono in libertà. Rocca di Ravaldino (Fortress of Ravaldino) Via della Rocca, 2; Via delle Bande Nere, 1 - Forlì 0543 712606 0543 712618 www.comune.forli.fo.it/cultura servizio.pinacoteca.musei@comune.forli.fo.it In the Middle Ages the Fortress of Ravaldino was used to defend the city of Forlì until, in 1500, Cesare Borgia managed to penetrate it and capture the then governor Caterina Sforza. Nowadays it is possible to visit the fortress outside garden, inside courtyard and exhibition rooms. You can reach them from one of the two garden entrances, either from Via delle Bande Nere or Via della Rocca; the entrance from Via della Rocca is accessible to disabled for parking inside the garden. The garden has an uneven dirt and gravel path. The access to the exhibition rooms and the courtyard is through the former drawbridge with two double-leaf doors and one step; the grass courtyard is in front of you, while on the left a 75cm wide corridor with step leads you to the exhibition rooms. The exhibition spreads over 2 floors connected by a stone spiral staircase (24 steps). The ground floor hosts 2 rooms, while the first floor consists of three rooms connected by 4 steps. All staircases have irregular stone paving and are jointed through very small passages with a width of 64 cm. The rooms accommodate temporary exhibitions, among which the crib exhibition is worth mentioning. In summer, concerts are held in the courtyard. Per tutto il Medioevo la Rocca di Ravaldino fu luogo di difesa per la città di Forlì, fino a quando nel 1500 Cesare Borgia riuscì a penetrarla e fare prigioniera l allora reggente Caterina Sforza. Le parti visitabili della Rocca sono il giardino esterno, il cortile interno e le sale mostre. Per raggiungere questi spazi si accede dai 2 ingressi del giardino: Via delle Bande Nere e Via della Rocca; le persone disabili possono parcheggiare nel giardino da Via della Rocca. Il giardino presenta una pavimentazione sconnessa in ghiaia e terra battuta. Per accedere agli spazi espositivi e al cortile si attraversa l ex ponte levatoio, con 2 porte a battenti con gradino; di fronte c è il cortile in erba mentre a sinistra, tramite un corridoio di 75 cm e un gradino, si accede alle sale espositive. L esposizione si sviluppa su 2 piani collegati da una scala a chiocciola in pietra (24 gradini). Al piano terra ci sono 2 sale e al 1 piano 3, collegate da 4 gradini. Tutte le sale hanno una pavimentazione in pietra sconnessa e sono unite da varchi minimi di 64 cm. Le sale ospitano mostre temporanee, da segnalare quella dei presepi. The Villa has no private car park. The entrance, with two 55cm wide double-leaf doors, has 2x3 cm steps and the distance to cover to reach it is roughly 20 metres on gravel. The building has 2 floors connected by 2 flights of stairs (20 steps) with a handrail on the left. On the ground floor there are 6 halls, all easy to reach with the exception of the kitchen which has a 5 cm step; the only chairs are in the Ping-Pong room. The restroom is on this floor. The entrance is 69 cm wide and it is a tight fit. On the first floor there are 7 small halls, connected by isolated steps. The restroom, with an entrance of 68 cm, is spacious but has no handles and the WC is 43 cm off the floor. The spacious garden of the Villa is characterised by gravel paths, and you can explore the perimeter of the building thanks to a cotto footpath (uneven paving). Free, educational guided tours are available. Al piano terra ci sono 6 sale, tutte facilmente fruibili ad eccezione della cucina che presenta un gradino di 5 cm per accedervi; disponibilità di sedute solo nella sala Ping-Pong. Il servizio igienico al piano, con ingresso di 69 cm, è di ridotte misure. Al primo piano ci sono 7 sale non molto spaziose, collegate da gradini isolati. Il servizio igienico, con ingresso di 68 cm, è ampio ma sprovvisto di maniglioni e con WC a un altezza di 43 cm. Il giardino della Villa, caratterizzato da percorsi in ghiaia, è molto ampio e il perimetro dell edificio è percorribile con una passerella in cotto (pavimentazione sconnessa).
