INGLESE per bambini e ragazzi Lo studio dell'inglese è proposto da noi con 2 diverse modalità: 1. studio dell'inglese per approfondire e integrare quanto fatto a scuola con lezioni individuali o in piccoli gruppi da al massimo 5 studenti; 2. studio dell'inglese per le Certificazioni Cambridge I corsi di lingue sono realizzati in gruppi (4-6 alunni) o in forma individuale o di coppia in modo da assicurare che l interazione alunno-docente risulti costante e la conversazione ricca e articolata. 1. Corsi di inglese Leggere e Scrivere sono abilità linguistiche molto importanti, ma Parlare e Capire sono quanto mai fondamentali e per questo motivo insegniamo le lingue in modo pratico e funzionale, curando in modo particolare la pronuncia e l'apprendimento degli idiomi per una reale immersione nella lingua pratica. L obiettivo primario è, quindi, che gli studenti imparino, per i livelli iniziali, le basi grammaticali della lingua e posseggano i rudimenti per comunicare e che, per i livelli intermedio e avanzato, consolidino e amplino le loro conoscenze. I corsi possono, inoltre, essere flessibili e personalizzati secondo le esigenze dei partecipanti, in particolare per gli adulti o per le aziende: è possibile partire da un livello base e raggiungere un livello fluency", seguendo un percorso costruito sulle reali esigenze di ogni singolo studente. L obiettivo principale è quello di insegnare a studiare una lingua, permettere agli studenti di trovare un metodo di studio in base al proprio stile e ai propri tempi di apprendimento. In particolare, gli insegnanti, grazie al rapporto di fiducia, chiarezza e serietà che riusciranno ad instaurare con ogni singolo allievo, daranno o faranno riacquistare allo studente fiducia in se stesso e nelle sue capacità. Le lezioni possono essere rivolte a chi: - Deve rivedere, recuperare, rielaborare quanto spiegato in classe dall insegnante della propria scuola; - Ha bisogno di lezioni individuali per mancanza di basi e per approfondire lacune. Senza creare discrasie con il programma scolastico, si pianifica un programma per recuperare partendo dalle origini e valutando approssimativamente un numero di lezioni per raggiungere una preparazione adeguata.
2. Corsi di lingua inglese finalizzati al conseguimento delle certificazioni Cambridge: Gli esami di Cambridge rappresentano un obiettivo e un traguardo ben preciso nello studio della lingua inglese: valutano tutte e quattro le abilità linguistiche (l'ascolto, la comunicazione orale, la lettura e la comunicazione scritta), proponendo compiti che misurano le capacità dei candidati nell'utilizzo dell'inglese; questi ultimi, nel momento stesso in cui preparano l'esame, hanno la possibilità di sviluppare le abilità necessarie a fare un uso pratico della lingua in diverse situazioni. Molte facoltà universitarie italiane riconoscono il P.E.T. e il First Certificate, che danno crediti a livello nazionale e internazionale. Tali esami sono, inoltre, sia riconosciuti dal Ministero della Pubblica Istruzione, si rivelano quindi utili per la vita scolastica, sia in tutti i settori commerciali, industriali e finanziari; costituiscono, quindi, un ottimo arricchimento del proprio curriculum professionale. Per le aziende è sempre più importante sapere se un potenziale impiegato è in grado non solo di leggere e comprendere la lingua inglese ma anche e soprattutto di parlarla e scriverla: le prove di scrittura e di lingua parlata, rigorosamente elaborate, garantiscono una valutazione affidabile di tutte le abilità linguistiche. L obiettivo è quindi preparare gli studenti affinché possano sostenere in totale serenità suddetti esami per ottenere una certificazione internazionale di conoscenza della lingua inglese adeguata alle loro competenze ed esigenze. Gli esami Cambridge oggetto della preparazione degli studenti presso il nostro centro saranno: I Cambridge Young Learner English Tests anche noti come YLE (Young Learner Exams) o CYLET, che sono una serie di esami organizzati dall'università di Cambridge per bambini e ragazzi dai 7 ai 12 anni e si dividono nei livelli: STARTERS, MOVERS, FLYERS Essi sono progettati per essere accessibili e suscitare interesse nell apprendere l inglese, incoraggiano in modo efficace insegnamento e apprendimento, motivano lo studente per i suoi sforzi di apprendimento, testano tutte e quattro le capacità linguistiche: ascolto, conversazione, scrittura e lettura, creano una forma mentis per sostenere gli esami e rappresentano il primo passo sulla strada di conseguimento dei diplomi di Cambridge. K.E.T.: Cambridge Key EnglishTest: Inserito a livello A2 dal Quadro Comune Europeo del Consiglio d Europa, il K.E.T. è un esame elementare che valuta la capacità di comunicazione quotidiana nella lingua scritta e parlata a un livello di base e rappresenta un grado di conoscenza della lingua utile e sufficiente per viaggiare nei paesi anglofoni. Il K.E.T. fa parte dei principali esami Cambridge English, strettamente collegati al Council of Europe s Common European Framework for modern languages (CEF) e accreditati da QCA l organismo governativo britannico di vigilanza sugli esami. Il K.E.T. si rivolge a quegli studenti che hanno acquisito conoscenze di base della lingua inglese necessarie e
sufficienti per viaggiare in paesi stranieri. Superare questo esame indica che il candidato è in grado di comprendere i punti principali di testi elementari, di comunicare nella maggior parte delle situazioni note e di comprendere brevi notizie standard e semplici indicazioni verbali. P.E.T. : Cambridge Preliminary English Test Il Cambridge Preliminary English Test (P.E.T.) test preliminare di lingua inglese rappresenta il secondo livello degli esami Cambridge in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Considerato un esame di livello di livello B1 dal Quadro Comune Europeo del Consiglio d Europa, il P.E.T. valuta la capacità di comunicazione quotidiana nella lingua scritta e parlata. Il P.E.T. fa parte dei principali esami Cambridge English, strettamente collegati al Council of Europe s Common European Framework for modern languages (CEF) e accreditati da QCA l organismo governativo britannico di vigilanza sugli esami. Il P.E.T. si rivolge alle persone che hanno una conoscenza della lingua inglese adeguata a concreti contesti lavorativi, di studio e sociali. L esame attesta la capacità di fronteggiare circostanze in cui è richiesto un uso quotidiano della lingua, di leggere semplici testi e articoli di giornale, di scrivere lettere personali non complesse o prendere appunti durante una riunione. I candidati promossi hanno un ampia conoscenza di vocaboli e riescono a utilizzare stili di comunicazione adeguati a varie situazioni. Iniziano ad afferrare qualcosa di più dei semplici fatti, percependo opinioni, atteggiamenti e stati d animo nella lingua inglese parlata e scritta. Prendendo spunto da situazioni di vita quotidiana e utilizzando materiale tratto da manifesti, quotidiani, riviste, il P.E.T. non solo attesta le quattro abilità linguistiche lettura, scrittura, ascolto e lingua parlata ma valuta anche conoscenze grammaticali e lessicali. Pertanto documenta una competenza linguistica sufficiente per un uso pratico in ambito impiegatizio, di segretariato e manageriale, e in settori, quali quelli turistici, dove pressoché giornalmente è necessario avere contatti con persone che parlano la lingua inglese. FIRST: Cambridge First Certificate in English Il Cambridge First Certificate in English (F.C.E.) rappresenta il terzo livello degli esami Cambridge in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Ritenuto un esame di livello intermedio-alto e inserito al livello B2 dal Quadro Comune Europeo del Consiglio d Europa, il F.C.E. valuta la capacità di padroneggiare un ampio ventaglio di comunicazioni scritte e orali. Il F.C.E. fa parte dei principali esami Cambridge English, strettamente collegati al Council of Europe s Common European Framework for modern languages (CEF) e accreditati da QCA l organismo governativo britannico di vigilanza sugli esami. Il FCE si rivolge a quanti possiedono una padronanza della lingua inglese adeguata a diverse situazioni concrete della vita quotidiana ad esempio di lavoro e di studio. Superando l esame, i candidati dimostrano di saper gestire un ampio vocabolario, di riuscire a sostenere argomentazioni ben costruite, di poter utilizzare stili di
comunicazione adeguati ai vari contesti, nonché di conoscere i comportamenti e le convenzioni sociali e formali così come sono espressi nella lingua. Il FCE è riconosciuto da molte università e istituti scolastici quale certificazione di una conoscenza linguistica dell inglese intermedia e come tale è considerato un requisito di accesso. Poiché gli esami sono basati su compiti pratici, superare il F.C.E. rappresenta un passo importante per quanti desiderano lavorare o studiare all estero o in un azienda internazionale. Riconosciuto da aziende di tutto il mondo, il F.C.E. documenta una padronanza della lingua sufficiente per un uso pratico in professioni manageriali, impiegatizie e di segretariato, e in settori, quali quelli turistici, dove pressoché quotidiani sono i contatti con persone che parlano la lingua inglese. I candidati promossi sono in grado di comprendere e gestire lettere di routine, conversazioni telefoniche, alcuni corsi di formazione non universitari, libri di testo semplici e articoli.
ENGLISH for young learners and teenagers The study of the English language is proposed in 2 different ways: 1. Learning English in order to deepen and integrate what has been done at school with lessons for individuals or small groups of a maximum of 5 students; 2. Learning English for Cambridge Certificates Language courses are carried out in small groups (4-6 students) or they are individual or in pairs to ensure that the student-teacher interaction remains constant, and the conversation could be rich and varied. 1. English courses Reading and Writing are very important skills, but Speaking and Understanding are all essential and that is why we teach languages in a practical and functional way, paying particular attention to the pronunciation and learning of languages for a real immersion in the language practice. The primary objective is, then, that beginner students learn the basic grammar of the language and possess the rudiments for communicating and that, for the intermediate and advanced levels, they consolidate and improve their knowledge. The courses can also be flexible and tailored to the needs of the participants, particularly for adults or for companies: it is possible to start from a basic level and reach a level of "fluency", following a path built on the real needs of each individual student. The main goal is to teach to learn a language, allowing students to find a method of study according to their own style and their own time of learning. In particular, teachers, thanks to the relationship of trust, clarity and reliability that will be able to engage with each individual student, the student will or will regain confidence in himself and in his abilities. The lessons are aimed at those who: - must revise, retrieve, edit topics as explained in class by the teacher of their school; - needs lessons for lack of basis and to deepen gaps. Without creating discrepancies with the school curriculum, planning a program to recover from the origins and evaluating approximately a number of lessons to achieve adequate preparation.
2. English courses designed to achieve Cambridge certifications : The Cambridge exams are a definite goal and a goal in the study of the English language: they test all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing), suggesting tasks that measure the ability of candidates in the use of English; students can at the same time the exam and have the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to make a practical use of the language in various situations. Many Italian universities recognize the PET and the First Certificate, which give nationally and internationally credits. These tests are also recognized by the Ministry of Education, they could be useful in school life, and in all areas of commercial, industrial and financial services; they are, therefore, a great enrichment of a curriculum vitae. For companies, it is increasingly important to know if a potential employee is able not only to read and understand the English language but also to speak it and write it: tests of writing and speech, rigorously developed, provide a reliable assessment of all the language skills. The objective is to prepare students so that they can peacefully take the exam and obtain an international certificate of English language skills appropriate to their skills and needs. The Cambridge exams object of the preparation of the students at our center are: The Cambridge Young Learners English Tests also known as YLE (Young Learners Exams) or CYLET, which are a series of tests organized by the University of Cambridge for children aged 7 to 12 years and are divided into levels: STARTERS, MOVERS, FLYERS. Government body responsible for supervising examinations. K.E.T. is aimed at those students who have acquired basic knowledge of English necessary and sufficient for travel in foreign countries. Passing this examination indicates that the candidate is able to understand the main points of elementary texts, to communicate in most situations, to write notes, to understand brief news and simple verbal directions. P.E.T. Cambridge Preliminary English Test The English Cambridge Preliminary Test (PET) - a preliminary test of the English language - is the second level of the Cambridge exams in English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). As a test of level B1 of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe, the PET assesses the ability to communicate in everyday written and spoken language. The P.E.T. is part of the main Cambridge English exams, closely linked to the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for modern languages (CEF) and accredited by QCA - the British government body responsible for supervising examinations. The P.E.T. is aimed for people who have an adequate knowledge of English for specific work environments, and social studies. The review demonstrates the capacity to deal with circumstances that require daily use of the language, to read simple texts and newspaper articles, to write not complex personal letters or take notes during a meeting. Successful candidates have a broad knowledge of vocabulary and are able to use appropriate communication styles to various situations. They begin to grasp something more than simple facts, perceiving opinions, attitudes and moods in the English language both written and spoken. Inspired by real-life situations and using material from posters, newspapers, magazines, PET not only attests to the four language skills - reading, writing, listening and speaking - but also assesses knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Therefore, it documents a proficiency level in the language sufficient for practical use in the clerical, secretarial and managerial fields, and in sectors such as tourism, where you need to have almost daily contact with people who speak English. FIRST: Cambridge First Certificate in English The Cambridge First Certificate in English (FCE) is the third level of the Cambridge English exams for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Considered an upperintermediate level exam, set at Level B2 of the Common European Framework of the Council of Europe, the FCE assesses the ability to master a wide range of written and oral submissions. The F.C.E. is part of the main Cambridge English exams, closely linked to the Council of Europe's Common European Framework for modern languages (CEF) and accredited by QCA - the British government body responsible for supervising
examinations. The FCE is aimed for those who possess a mastery level of English, it is adequate for many practical everyday life - such as work and study. After passing the exam, the candidates should be able to handle a large vocabulary, to support wellconstructed arguments, they can use appropriate communication styles to different contexts, as well as to have learnt about formal behaviors and social conventions as they are expressed in the English language. The FCE is recognized by many universities and educational institutions as proof of intermediate knowledge of English language and it is considered a positive admission requirement. Because the tests are based on practical tasks, passing the FCE is an important step for those wishing to work or study abroad or in an international company. Recognized by companies around the world, the FCE documents a sufficient command of the language for practical use in managerial occupations, clerical and secretarial, and in sectors such as tourism, which are almost daily contact with people who speak the English language. Successful candidates are able to understand and handle routine letters, telephone conversations, some non-university courses, textbooks and simple articles.
