Qui le aziende, dopo aver presentato le ultime novità al Salone Internazionale del Mobile di Milano, accentuano l enfasi sulle novità. Ovviamente anche Lema, nell ultima edizione che ha avuto luogo lo scorso ottobre, non è stata da meno e, nel suo stand arioso e raffinato, accanto ai tradizionali sistemi ha collocato le sue ultime creazioni di puro design, per la gioia dei numerosi visitatori che hanno affollato lo stand. Grande la soddisfazione del management Lema presente all evento. Kortrijk, Belgium. On the occasion of Interieur, every two years the small town of Kortrijk is transformed into an international centre of design. After having shown the latest products at the Milan International Furniture Fair, the various companies here emphasize the innovations. It goes without saying that Lema was also present at last October s event and its refined and spacious stand attracted crowds of enthusiastic visitors who were able to admire the latest design pieces alongside the more traditional systems. The Lema management present at the event were delighted. Interieur 08 Kortrijk, Belgio MoaCasa, svoltasi dal 25 ottobre al 2 novembre, è uno degli eventi dedicati all arredo e al design nella città di Roma. In collaborazione con Cascone Arredamenti, Lema ha realizzato uno stand che rappresentava l ambiente domestico, esaltandone il suo stile. Buona affluenza di pubblico alla manifestazione, lo stand in particolare è stato molto visitato ed apprezzato, l interesse si è rivolto uniformemente a tutti i prodotti esposti. Cascone Arredamenti continua a presentare i nuovi prodotti nella sua sede di via Merulana 20/21A, sede storica che lo vede partner di Lema da più di 30 anni. Moa Casa 2008, Roma MoaCasa 2008, Rome MoaCasa, which took place from 25 October to 2 November, is one of the events dedicated to furnishing and design in Rome. In collaboration with Cascone Arredamenti, Lema created a stand embodying and exalting the style of the home environment. Attendance at the event was good and this stand in particular attracted many visitors, who were equally appreciative of all the products on display. Questi i numeri della quarta edizione dei Saloni WorldWide Moscow 2008 che si è svolta dall 8 all 11 ottobre al Crocus Expo, il più importante centro espositivo della Russia. La grandissima affluenza di visitatori allo stand Lema conferma l importanza che questo mercato ha per l azienda. Un mercato che sta diventando sempre più raffinato ed esigente e di conseguenza più attento e ricettivo al design dei prodotti Lema. Such were the figures of the fourth edition of the Saloni WorldWide Moscow 2008, which took place from 8 to 11 October at the Crocus Expo, the most important exhibition centre in Russia. The particularly high attendance at the Lema stand confirms the importance of this market to the company, a market that is becoming increasingly refined and demanding and consequently more attentive and receptive to the design of Lema products. 05

Kairos in greco significa: punto giusto, luogo giusto, giusta misura. Nell antica Grecia era il concetto che definiva anche il modo di progettare. Kairos era, per esempio, la scelta del punto giusto dove costruire la casa e, insieme, l attesa del momento più appropriato per iniziare i lavori. Questa equilibrata combinazione di luogo e di tempo rappresenta un importante riferimento in ogni nuovo progetto di Giuseppe Manente e Abramo Mion, i brillanti fondatori e designer di Studio Kairos, vincitori di numerosi prestigiosi riconoscimenti nell ambito del design. A Parigi, chez Protis, in Faubourg Saint Honoré, il 4 dicembre scorso è stato inaugurato uno spazio interamente dedicato a Lema. Capisaldi di Protis sono la predilezione per materiali nobili (legno, vetro, alluminio, acciaio inox, cuoio), la qualità impeccabile delle finiture, la ricerca di modularità e funzionalità. Artidea of Ljubljana presents the Kairos Studio Uno spazio Lema chez Protis Artidea di Lubiana presenta lo Studio Kairos LEMA MAGAZINE / 01 A space for Lema chez Protis In the heart of Paris on 4 December 2008, the Protis showroom in Faubourg Saint Honoré saw the inauguration of an area entirely given over to Lema. Protis is founded on a preference for noble materials such as wood, glass, aluminium, stainless steel and leather, the impeccable quality of the finishings and the search for modularity and functionality. These are also essential requisites for Lema, who will provide this retailer with all the assistance and advice necessary, particularly in consideration of the values that they share. > 02 > 03 Artidea of Ljubljana organized an event to present the designs of the Kairos Studio, which began working with Lema in 2008 on the occasion of the Milan Furniture Fair. In Greek, Kairos means right point, right place, in the right measure and in ancient Greece this was the concept that also defined the approach to designing. In this context Kairos meant choosing the correct site for a house to be constructed and waiting for the most appropriate moment to start the work. This balanced combination of place and time represents an important point of reference for every new project produced by Giuseppe Manente and Abramo Mion, the brilliant founders and designers of the Kairos Studio and winners of many prestigious design awards. > 04 Tripo Interni & Design 02 > 03 Il restyling del negozio di Palermo di Giuseppe e Antonia Tripo, già titolari dell azienda storica nata a Villafrati quasi un secolo fa, è stato il tema dell evento avvenuto lo scorso 20 novembre 2008. L esito positivo del progetto, sviluppato in collaborazione con il cliente su di uno spazio di 300 mq in via Libertà 95, è stato determinato dall interazione tra i Sistemi (Giorno e Notte) e i nuovi pezzi di design. Questa interazione ha contribuito a rendere l ambiente sobrio e raffinato, in perfetta sintonia con lo stile della casa Lema. I commenti positivi dei numerosi ospiti intervenuti all inaugurazione tra i quali anche importanti architetti della regione, sono la conferma dell ottimo risultato ottenuto. > 02 > 03 Tripo Interni & Design The restyling of the Palermo shop of Giuseppe and Antonia Tripo, owners of the celebrated company founded in Villafrati almost a century ago, was the theme behind the event that took place on 20 November 2008. The project was developed in collaboration with the client using a space of 300 m2 at Via Libertà 95, and its success was determined by an interaction between the Systems (Day and Night) and new design pieces. This interaction helped create an understated and refined atmosphere in perfect harmony with the Lema house style. Confirmation of this excellent outcome came from the positive comments received from the many guests who attended the inauguration, including key architects from the region. Victor e Victoria da Conran Shop > 04 Il primo Conran Shop fu inaugurato nel 1973 al numero 77 di Fulham Road, a Londra, da dove traslocò a Michelin House nel 1987. La crescita è stata inarrestabile e oggi Conran Shop conta otto store tra Londra, Parigi, New York, Tokyo, Fukuoka e Nagoya. Tutti offrono all esigente pubblico un esclusiva selezione di arredi contemporanei e dal design originale, caratterizzati sempre da una nota di unicità. E un nome di risonanza mondiale per quanto concerne i mobili e i complementi di altissima qualità. E noi ci siamo: a Michelin House i clienti troveranno lo scrittoio Victor e la consolle Victoria di Lema. Una conferma della qualità dei prodotti e del design Lema. 06 > 04 Victor and Victoria at the Conran Shop The first Conran shop was inaugurated in 1973 at 77 Fulham Road in London, from where it moved to Michelin House in 1987. Growth was unstoppable and there are now eight Conran shops worldwide, in London, Paris, New York, Fukuoka and Nagoya. They all offer a demanding clientele an exclusive selection of innovatively designed contemporary furnishing which is always characterized by a note of uniqueness. Conran is a name which is renowned internationally for high quality furniture and accessories. Lema is also present and at Michelin House clients can admire the Victor writing desk and the Victoria console; another confirmation of the quality of Lema products and design. 07

Progetto dell architetto Matteo Thun, arredi totalmente di Lema. Obiettivo: uno spazio studiato per il cliente, nel quale potrà sperimentare direttamente le nuove tecnologie e i servizi evoluti di Vodafone. Un layout lineare, intuitivo e semplice, in cui lo sguardo legge l ambiente del punto vendita per fasce orizzontali e l esposizione perimetrale del prodotto/servizio risulta chiara e razionale. Un investimento di 50 milioni di Euro da parte di Vodafone che punta a sdrammatizzare la complessità tecnologica delle sue soluzioni proprio grazie a questa nuova concezione degli spazi. A restyling that proceeds at a rate of 150 shops a month over the entire country, designed by the architect Matteo Thun and with furnishing exclusively by Lema. Objective: an area created specifically for the client, where he or she can try out the new technology and sophisticated services provided by Vodafone. The arrangement is linear, intuitive and simple; the eye falls on the particular layout of the sales point as a series of horizontal bands and the walled display of the products and services is clear and rational. An investment of 50 million Euro by Vodafone aims to downplay the technological complexity of its products and services thanks precisely to this new conception of the space. 10 11

Per questo progetto, fondamentale è stata la totale collaborazione di Lema con Artidea, suo rivenditore in Slovenia. La capacità di Lema di cooperare con i propri reseller anche a livello progettuale, garantisce loro una consulenza pronta e affidabile in ogni circostanza. Hall, restaurant, wellness centre, conference centre and 200 rooms and suites entirely furnished by Lema and designed by the Desseins Interior Design Studio of Jean-Claude LaVille. We are speaking of the luxurious 5-star Hotel Kempinski Palace in Portoroz, Slovenia, for which a specific concept was introduced, designed to produce a prestigious project with an international character. Fundamental to this venture was the close partnership of Lema and Artidea, its retailer in Slovenia. The capacity of Lema to work together with its retailers, also at project level, guarantees them prompt and reliable guidance and collaboration in every situation. 12 13

Scocca in poliuretano flessibile ignifugo a poro aperto, stampato in iniezione tramite stampo in resina termoriscaldato, l inserto interno è stato studiato, ingegnerizzato e prodotto in tondino metallico ricreando una struttura alveolare molto resistente e un peso molto ridotto. La struttura alveolare dell inserto e lo stampo termoriscaldato permettono un ottima espansione del poliuretano, consentendo una densità uniforme in tutte le parti della poltrona, che si adatta al corpo, ma di sufficiente memoria da tornare anche nel tempo alla forma originale. Questo metodo di produzione, molto costoso, viene usato dalle aziende solo per quantitativi importanti. Lema ha investito nella produzione e l ha adottato per qualsiasi quantitativo, confermando la grande attenzione posta nel dare sempre il massimo della qualità. Poltrona Werner. Design Roberto Lazzeroni > 02 > 06 > 02 > 03 Werner Chair. Design Roberto Lazzeroni Werner is a chair with a soft but essential form, a pure and subtle sign that connects the modernity of the design with a veiled reference to tradition. The body is made of fireproof flexible open pore polyurethane which is injection moulded in a heated resin mould. The internal insert was designed, engineered and manufactured with metal rods to create a resistant and very light honeycomb structure. The particular form of the insert and the heated mould together enable the polyurethane to expand perfectly, creating a uniform density throughout the chair which adapts well to the body but possesses sufficient memory to return to the original form, even after some time. Because this production method is very costly, it is normally only used by companies for large production runs. However, Lema has invested in the production and has adopted this technique for large or small runs, confirming the great care that Lema takes to always provide the highest quality. > 06 > 07 > 08 La madia Tama è un prodotto ad elevato contenuto tecnologico, sia per i materiali utilizzati che per i processi produttivi impiegati. Il CRS, Centro Ricerche e Sviluppo Lema, ha superato con la consueta professionalità le difficoltà incontrate nella ricerca della tecnica e dei materiali appropriati per la sua realizzazione, riuscendo in soli 30 giorni a industrializzarlo e ingegnerizzarlo. Il tratto originale è dato dalle particolari ante curve di notevole ampiezza alare, con uno spessore sottile 12 mm, leggere e ad apertura totale. Perché siano stabili e robuste, vengono realizzate in uno speciale tipo di tamburato composto da due pelli esterne molto sottili, 10 decimi, in alluminio, e un riempimento di alveolare in alluminio, un materiale tecnologicamente avanzato che viene usato in aeronautica. La ricerca e l approccio metodologico adottati dal CRS Lema sono stati di fondamentale importanza per la sua realizzazione: hanno consentito il giusto ed armonico equilibrio nella scelta dei materiali, i possibili e diversi processi produttivi, la fruibilità del prodotto e la sua ecocompatibilità. La madia Tama è realizzata in due versioni, una alta a due ante curve e una bassa a tre ante, di cui due sono curve. Tama viene attrezzata con ripiani che hanno un alzatina ferma-oggetti nei lati aperti. A questi si possono aggiungere una cassettiera a due cassetti, un cassetto portaposate e un elemento a ripiano. L interno viene realizzato in un unica finitura laccato color Fango, mentre le ante e il coperchio possono essere laccati 14 > 05 > 04 > 03 > 04 > 05 La particolare forma a tamburo di Sign ha reso necessario uno studio specifico per la sua realizzazione; il CRS Lema ha progettato lo stampaggio del top in schiuma di poliuretano espanso rigido con formulazione baydur in un pezzo unico, ottenendo un elemento finito perfetto. Per le due diverse altezze sono stati progettati tre stampi diversi per ogni altezza, sei stampi che consentono di ottenere una produzione di grande qualità. Una ricerca puntigliosa e accurata che ribadisce una volta di più la volontà di Lema di realizzare i suoi prodotti con eccellenza qualitativa. I comodini con cassetti e i tavolini, di forma rotonda, vengono proposti in due differenti altezze, cm 30 e cm 48, e in due dimensioni di diametro, cm 45 e cm 60. Gli elementi in poliuretano vengono laccati nei 37 colori opachi del sistema Lemacolortrend e nei 17 colori lucidi. Sign, nella versione a tavolino senza cassetto, viene realizzato anche in essenza, nelle finiture rovere moro e rovere tabacco. La struttura metallica è proposta in acciaio verniciato color bronzo scuro o in finitura cromato lucido. SIGN. Design Studio Kairos > 04 > 05 SIGN. Design Kairos Studio The particular drum shape of Sign necessitated a specific project to enable its production. The research and development division of Lema, CRS, designed the top to be moulded in one piece in rigid expanded polyurethane foam based on the Baydur formulation. Three moulds were designed for each of the two different heights, six moulds in all, which allows for the highest quality production. The meticulous and careful research involved proves once again the desire of Lema to produce to the highest standards. The round bedside tables with drawers and the small tables are available in two heights of 45 cm and 48 cm and in two diameters of 45 cm and 60 cm. The polyurethane elements are lacquered in a choice of 37 mat colours of the Lemacolortrend system or 17 glossy colours. In the table version without drawer, Sign is also available in dark oak or tobacco oak veneer. The metal structure can be in dark bronze painted steel or in polished chrome. > 08 > 07 nei colori opachi del sistema Lemacolortrend. TAMA. Design Studio Kairos > 06 > 07 > 08 TAMA. Design Kairos Studio The Tama sideboard is a highly technological product, both as regards the materials used and the production process. With its customary skill, Lema CRS overcame the difficulties encountered in the search for techniques and materials that would be suitable to produce this product and took only one month to engineer and set up the production process. The unique feature of Tama is the particular curved doors that open fully and are particularly wide while being extremely light with a thickness of only 12 mm. To create the necessary stability and strength they are produced using a special type of hollow core composed of two extremely thin 1 mm external skins made of aluminium with a honeycomb aluminium filling, a highly advanced technological material which is normally only used for aircraft. The research and the methodological approach adopted by Lema CRS have been of fundamental importance in bringing this project to fruition, creating a precise, harmonious balance in the choice of materials, enabling the various possible production methods to be used and ensuring usability of the product and its ecological compatibility. The Tama sideboard comes in two versions, one tall with two curved doors and a low one with three doors, two of which are curved. Tama is equipped with shelves with raised edges on the open sides to protect objects from slipping, with the optional addition of a set of two drawers, a cutlery drawer and a shelf element. The inside is available in one lacquered colour, Fango, while the doors and the top can be lacquered with any of the mat colours of the Lemacolortrend system. The frontage is embellished both with a vertical polished chrome profile that acts as a spacer between the doors and with polished chrome legs that are visible below the curvature of the doors.
