Una coppia può partecipare a competizioni internazionali in una categoria diversa da quella nazionale nel caso in cui ne soddisfi i requisiti di età e lo score minimo di accesso definito da regolamento FISG. Ad inizio stagione, secondo le normative Fisg e prima del tesseramento, dovrà essere presentata in ogni caso comunicazione da parte della società che la coppia ha intenzione di gareggiare in più categorie (ed essere di conseguenza tesserato in più categorie). Rimane valido il regolamento per il calcolo del ranking per categoria: se partecipa ad un numero sufficiente di gare in due diverse categorie, la coppia entrerà in lista nel ranking di entrambe le categorie. A partire dalla categoria advanced novice si può passare ad una categoria superiore per raggiunti limiti di età oppure se vengono soddisfatti almeno due volte nel corso della stagione precedente gli scores minimi di accesso, riportati nella tabella seguente (ad esempio per passare da Advanced Novice a Junior anche se la ragazza non ha compiuto 15 anni e il ragazzo non ha compiuto 17 anni). l passaggi di categoria sono facoltativi, ad eccezione del caso in cui gli atleti abbiano superato l età massima consentita per rimanere in una data categoria. Per tutte le altre categorie non ci sono requisiti particolari di passaggio ad una categoria superiore. 2

4 Test d idoneità Per partecipare alle gare nelle diverse categorie federali E NECESSARIO sostenere un Test d idoneità, secondo le modalità illustrate come segue. Tale Test d idoneità è costituto ESCLUSIVAMENTE da esercizi di tecnica. Il Test d idoneità deve essere sostenuto prima di poter gareggiare per la categoria per cui è richiesto, in una delle sessioni organizzate (se necessario in concomitanza con gare nazionali). Le società devono inoltrare via mail la richiesta per i loro atleti che devono sostenere il test di idoneità, indicando nome cognome e numero di tessera FISG (indicativamente nel momento in cui desiderano procedere all iscrizione ad una gara nazionale). Anche per le categorie ISU (Basic Novice, Advanced Novice, Junior e Senior) è obbligatorio aver sostenuto il Test d idoneità per poter partecipare alle competizioni. E esonerato dal sostenere il Test d idoneità di danza: Chi, provenendo dal settore artistico o sincronizzato, avesse già sostenuto in stagioni precedenti il test di idoneità di artistico o di sincronizzato, Chi ha gareggiato per altre federazioni nelle categorie ISU di danza (Basic Novice, Advanced Novice, Junior e Senior). 5 TECNICO DANZA CATEGORIE FEDERALI REGIONALI N o r m e g e n e r a l i Di seguito si riporta la tempistica per i riscaldamenti delle diverse parti di gara di tutte le categorie regionali (escluse quindi basic novice, advanced novice, junior, senior): - OBBLIGATORI: 3 minuti - PROGRAMMA LIBERO: 4 minuti Il numero massimo di atleti (o coppie) per ogni gruppo di riscaldamento delle categorie regionali (escluse quindi basic novice, advanced novice, junior, senior) è pari a sei. All occorrenza, è possibile avere gruppi di riscaldamento con atleti di categorie diverse (pur cercando di garantire il più possibile la compatibilità di livello tecnico e di elementi richiesti) La classifica parziale di ogni categoria viene annunciata al termine degli obbligatori della categoria stessa. La discesa in pista del programma libero è in ordine inverso di classifica. Le due parti di gara possono eventualmente essere svolte nella stessa giornata per tutte le categorie regionali e per i basic novice. S i s t e m a d i g i u d i z i o Tutte le gare vengono svolte con i principi del sistema di giudizio ISU. Le gare sono sempre composte da due parti: - balli obbligatori (uno per la categoria coppie open, due per tutte le altre) - programma libero I balli obbligatori da presentare sono riportati nel programma tecnico definito per ogni stagione sportiva, a cui sono associati dei livelli di difficoltà riportati nel regolamento; l esecuzione tecnica del ballo viene invece valutata in termini di livello di esecuzione (GOE) da parte dei giudici. Inoltre, la prestazione viene valutata in termini di program components dai giudici, distinguendo diversi aspetti a seconda delle categorie. Per Basic novice, Advanced novice, Junior e Senior si applicano i regolamenti ISU; per le categorie regionali si applicano le tabelle riportate sotto. Nel programma libero ogni categoria deve presentare gli elementi tecnici richiesti come da programma definito per ogni stagione sportiva: tali elementi verranno valutati in termini di livello di difficoltà da Technical Specialist e Technical controller e in termini di livello di esecuzione (GOE) da parte dei giudici. Le specifiche per la valutazione dei livelli di ogni elemento sono pubblicate nel capitolo dedicato di queste normative. Le specifiche per la valutazione dei GOE sono coerenti con quanto definito dall ISU nei suoi regolamenti. Inoltre, la prestazione viene valutata in termini di program components dai giudici, distinguendo diversi aspetti a seconda delle categorie. Per Basic novice, Advanced novice, Junior e Senior si applicano i regolamenti ISU; per le categorie regionali si applicano le tabelle riportate sotto. Il punteggio tecnico dei programmi liberi per le varie categorie viene espresso esclusivamente sulla base degli elementi richiesti come da programma tecnico di seguito descritto. Eventuali elementi tecnici non facenti parte del programma tecnico richiesto per la propria categoria saranno oggetto di una detrazione. E obbligatorio presentare all atto dell iscrizione alle gare l elenco degli elementi tecnici richiesti nel programma libero nell ordine di esecuzione con la musica. Si ricorda che, per le categorie in cui si eseguono 2 obbligatori e il libero, il punteggio complessivo è ottenuto moltiplicando il punteggio di ogni obbligatorio per 0.5, mentre quello del libero per

The ability of the Couple to skate strictly in time with the music and to reflect the rhythm patterns and prescribed beat values of a Pattern Dance correctly. - Unison and body alignment - Distance between partners - Carriage and style - Correct holds - Skating in time with the music - Skating on the strong beat - Start of the first Step 100% all criteria (timing+strong beat+start): not lower than 4 50% all criteria: not higher than 2 IF entirely off time: not higher than 0,25 Programma libero Components Definizioni Criteri Skating Skills Overall cleanness and sureness, edge control and flow over the ice surface demonstrated by a command of the skating vocabulary (edges, steps, turns etc.), the clarity of technique and the use of effortless power to accelerate and vary speed. - Use of deep edges, steps and turns; - Balance of technique and skating ability of partners - Rhythmic knee action and precision of foot placement; - Flow and glide; - Speed and acceleration; - Use of multi directional skating; - Use of one foot skating. Composition Interpretation / Timing An intentionally developed and/or original arrangement of all types of movements according to the principles of musical phrase, space, pattern, and structure. + the following bullets from Transitions/Linking footwork : Variety Difficulty Quality The personal, creative, and genuine translation of the rhythm, character and content of music to movement on ice. - Phrase and form (movements and parts structured to match the musical phrase); - Originality of the composition - Pattern / ice coverage; - Variety (including holds not excessive side by side and hand in hand) - Difficulty - Quality - Movement and steps in time to the music (timing) - Expression of the music s character / feeling and rhythm - Appropriateness of the music IF entirely off time: not higher than 0,25 7

8 Detrazioni pannello tecnico e pannello giudicante Nel caso una porzione di obbligatori non venga eseguita, se la coppia esegue meno del 75% della sequenza, a tale sequenza verrà assegnato valore nullo da parte del pannello tecnico e tutti i GOE non avranno influenza. Il pannello tecnico aggiungerà il termine attention in modo che venga riportato sul protocollo a fianco della sequenza il simbolo! Nel caso un elemento non venga eseguito secondo i criteri per ricevere almeno il livello minimo, a tale elemento sarà assegnato livello nullo da parte del pannello tecnico e tutti i GOE non avranno influenza. In caso di CADUTA durante il programma libero oppure nella parte introduttiva e durante il ballo obbligatorio (NON nell uscita conclusiva al termine dell esecuzione del ballo obbligatorio), il pannello tecnico applicherà una detrazione di 0.5 punti per ogni caduta di ogni partner. Scivolare sul ghiaccio con entrambe le ginocchia o fare una spaccata completa sul ghiaccio ( sedendosi sul ghiaccio) è considerato caduta. Nel caso non vengano rispettati i regolamenti ISU relativi ai costumi (nel caso in cui la maggioranza dei giudici più il referee dovessero decidere l applicazione della detrazione) il presidente di giuria si farà carico di verificare che il data replay inserisca la detrazione di 0.5 punti. Riguardo alle musiche si considerano validi i regolamenti ISU (nel caso in cui la maggioranza dei giudici più il referee dovessero decidere l applicazione della detrazione) il presidente di giuria si farà carico di verificare che il data replay inserisca la detrazione di 0.5 punti. In caso di esecuzione di un elemento non previsto durante il programma libero il pannello tecnico applicherà una detrazione di 0.5 punti per ogni elemento. (L Extra Element verrà chiamato dal Pannello Tecnico sulla base della lista degli elementi presenti. Il TC controllerà che venga inserita la detrazione e confermerà la lista finale degli elementi). Per la categoria basic novice si applicano le detrazioni previste dal regolamento ISU. Per le categorie regionali non sono previste choreo deductions. 9 TECNICO DANZA BASIC E ADVANCED NOVICE ISU Si riportano di seguito estratti della comunicazione ISU. COMM General Requirements for Novice competitions Ice Dance Ice Dance events shall consist of Basic Novice 2 Pattern Dances and Free Dance Advanced Novice 2 Pattern Dances and Free Dance Duration of Free Dance: Basic Novice Free Dance 2:30 min. +/. 10 sec. Advanced Novice Free Dance 3:00 min. +/. 10 sec. COMM Basic Novice Two (2) Pattern Dances are to be skated: Group 1: # 1 Fourteenstep and # 4 European Waltz Advanced Novice One of the two groups announced for the season shall be drawn before the first practice of the competition. Each group contains two (2) Pattern Dances. Group 1: # 4 European Waltz and # 20 Tango Group 2: # 3 Rocker Foxtrot and # 9 Starlight Waltz 2. MUSIC REQUIREMENTS FOR PATTERN DANCES FOR INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS Rule 707, paragraph 5 provides that, in International Competitions, the current series of ISU Ice Dance music shall be used for the Pattern Dances unless the Ice Dance Technical Committee has decided that the music for one or several Pattern Dances is to be provided by the Couple following certain requirements. For the season 2017/18, Couples shall provide their own music for the following Pattern Dances: International Novice Competitions: Basic Novice: # 1 Fourteenstep Advanced Novice: # 20 Tango and # 3 Rocker Foxtrot Other International Competitions and International Adult Competitions: As announced by the organizer in the announcement of the competition. The music must be chosen in accordance with the Rhythm of the Pattern Dance and may be vocal. The Tempo throughout the required Sequences must be constant and in accordance with the required Tempo of the Pattern Dance (see ISU Handbook Ice Dance 2003) plus or minus 2 beats per minute. 9

10 NOTE: The chosen music may be a tune from ISU Ice Dance music. In this case, only tunes 1 to 5 can be chosen and the Couple shall provide competition music in accordance with Rule 343, paragraph 1. Violation of the above music requirements or tempo specifications shall be penalized as per Rule 353, paragraph 1.n). For the application of Rule 708 paragraph 1.d) with music provided by the Couple, it is specified that the start of the first Step of the dance must be on beat 1 of a measure (unless otherwise specified in the description of the dance). 4. REQUIREMENTS FOR FREE DANCE SEASON 2017/18 Rule 710, paragraph 2 provides that the list of Required Elements to be included in a Well Balanced Free Dance Program and the specific requirements for these elements are announced annually from the list of options provided in this Rule. For the season 2017/18 the Ice Dance Technical Committee have adopted the following specific Required Elements to be included in a Well Balanced Free Dance Program. BASIC NOVICE Free Dance requirements per Communication 2024 Levels explanations: for Basic Novice Free Dance, Level 2 is the maximum level the couple may receive for all required elements. Only features up to Level 2 will be counted. Any additional features the couple chooses to perform will not count for Level requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. In a Free Dance where the Dance Spin is not a Required Element, the first performed Dance Spin or Spinning Movement shall be identified as the Choreographic Spinning Movement, if no other Choreographic Element has been identified and confirmed. Free Dance Rule 710 shall apply (including that the music may be vocal). A Well Balanced Free Dance program must contain _Dance Lifts: not more than one (1) Short Lift _One (1) Straight Line Step Sequence (Midline or Diagonal) in Hold or Curved Step Sequence (Circular or Serpentine) in Hold The restrictions listed in ISU Communication 1998 and 2003 and subsequent updates of this ISU Communication apply. _One (1) Set of Synchronized Twizzles _One (1) Choreographic Element: Choreographic Spinning Movement or Choreographic Twizzling Movement (as described below) The Choregraphic Elements must be chosen from: _Choreographic Spinning Movement: spinning movement performed after the required Dance Spin during which both partners perform at least 2 continuous rotations: - in any hold, - on one foot or two feet or one partner being elevated without being sustained, or a combination of the three, - on a common axis which may be moving. 10

11 _Choreographic Twizzling Movement: twizzling movement performed after the required Set of Twizzles composed of 2 parts. The following requirements apply: - for both parts: on one foot or two feet or a combination of both, - for the first part: at least 2 continuous rotations performed simultaneously and both partners must travel (cannot be on the spot) (partners must be separate), - for the second part: at least one of the partners has to perform at least 2 continuous rotations and one or both partners can be on the spot or traveling or a combination of both (partners may be in hold). In a Free Dance where the Dance Spin is not a Required Element, the first performed Dance Spin or Spinning Movement shall be identified as the Choreographic Spinning Movement, if no other Choreographic Element has been identified and confirmed. Levels explanations For Basic Novice Free Dance, in all Required Elements, only features up to Level 2 will be counted. Any additional features will not count for Level requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. All Program Components are judged. The factor of the Program Components is 1.0 ADVANCED NOVICE Free Dance requirements per Communication 2024 Levels explanations: for Advanced Novice Free Dance, Level 3 is the maximum level the couple may receive for all required elements. Only features up to Level 3 will be counted. Any additional features the couple chooses to perform will not count for Level requirements and will be ignored by the Technical Panel. Free Dance Rule 710 shall apply (including that the music may be vocal). 12 SPECIFICATIONS TO REQUIRED ELEMENTS Style of Step Sequences: the Level of Difficulty of the Step Sequences shall be determined as per the following Characteristics of Levels: Novice (Basic and Advanced) Free Dance (Straight Line or Curved Step Sequence In Hold): Style B Characteristics of Levels Style A, Style B and Style B* are technical requirements with ongoing validity published in the relevant Communication. Notes: Judges must reduce the GOE accordingly, if the pattern of the Step Sequence does not maintain the integrity or basic shape of the chosen pattern. For example: a) for a midline or diagonal step sequence - lobes should be equally balanced along the line of the pattern so as to not distort the basic shape and direction of the line from corner to corner (diagonal) or end of rink to end of the rink (midline). b) for a circle - the circular shape of the pattern should be recognizable and not be allowed to become a large oval running almost from end to end of the rink c) for a serpentine - the two or three bold curves should be balanced on either side of the midline axis of the rink so as to not distort the basic "S" shape of the pattern. 13 REQUIREMENTS FOR TECHNICAL RULES WITH ONGOING VALIDITY, EFFECTIVE JULY 1ST, SECTIONS OF PATTERN DANCES FOR NOVICE (BASIC AND ADVANCE) Rule 708 paragraph 2 provides that the pattern of each Pattern Dance may be divided into a certain number of Sections. The Pattern Dances selected for the season 2017/18 for Novice Basic and Advanced are adopted by the Ice Dance Technical Committee as follows: Sequences of Fourteen Step, European Waltz, Rocker Foxtrot and Tango are not divided into Sections; CALLING SPECIFICATIONS AND LEVELS OF DIFFICULTY FOR NOVICE INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS A) PATTERN DANCES The valid additional principles of calling, additional definitions, specifications to definitions and notes, and characteristics of Levels of Difficulty of Pattern Dance Elements apply to Sequences/Sections of Pattern Dances. However, when Level procedure for Sequences/Sections of Pattern Dances does not apply (see Rule708, paragraph 3.a) ii)), a Sequence/Section of Pattern Dance shall be identified when 75% of the Sequence/Section is completed by both partners. a) Key Points and Key Point Features for Sequences/Sections of Pattern Dances for Novice International Competitions 2017/18 Basic Novice The Technical Panel will determine the name of the Pattern Dance and confirm the Sequence/Section that requirements for the Base Level are fulfilled. The Judges evaluate the Pattern Dance with the GOE. Advanced Novice For Pattern Dances, there will be 2 key points described, and Key Points up to Level 3 will be evaluated. The Judges evaluate the Pattern Dance with the GOE. 13

MARKING GUIDE FOR GRADES OF EECUTION OF SEQUENCES/SECTIONS OF PATTERN DANCES The current marking guide for Grades of Execution of Pattern Dance Elements applies to Sequences/Sections of Pattern Dances. 4. CALLING SPECIFICATIONS AND LEVELS OF DIFFICULTY OF REQUIRED ELEMENTS The information is laid out in the following order: basic principles of calling applicable to all Required Elements; for each Required Element: - additional principles of calling, - additional definitions, specifications to definitions and notes, applicable to additional principles of calling and Levels of Difficulty, - Levels of Difficulty including Characteristics of Levels and Adjustment to Levels BASIC PRINCIPLES OF CALLING APPLICABLE TO ALL REQUIRED ELEMENTS 1. The Technical Panel shall identify what is performed despite what is listed on the Program Content Sheet. 2. Adjustments to Levels shall apply to the Level determined according to the Characteristics of Levels fulfilled. They shall not result in giving No Level to a Required Element as long as the requirements for Level 1 are met (or requirements for Basic Level for a Step Sequence). 3. To be given any Level, a Required Element must meet all the requirements for Level 1, (or requirements for Basic Level for a Step Sequence). 4. If the element is interrupted and the couple tries to continue the same element as a 2nd attempt to fill the time, this is ignored by the Technical Panel and Judges/Referee. (Does not apply to Step Sequences and Pattern Dances) 5. If a program concludes with the partners performing an element, the element and its Level shall be identified until the movement stops completely. 6. Elements started after the required duration of the program (plus the 10 seconds allowed) shall not be identified. 7. If a Dance Lift is performed in a Step Sequence, whether in Short Dance or Free Dance, the Dance Lift is identified with its Type (if the Type is recognizable) and given No Level. This Lift occupies a box. 8. If a Dance Spin is performed in a Step Sequence in Short Dance, the Dance Spin is not identified (Dance Spin is not a required element and there is no provision to identify it as an extra element) 9. If a Dance Spin is performed in a Step Sequence in Free Dance, the Dance Spin is identified as a Dance Spin and given No Level. This Dance Spin occupies a box. 10. Set(s) of Twizzles performed in required Step Sequences (including Pattern Dance Type Step Sequences) shall not be identified. 11. The Technical Panel shall decide whether any feature to fulfill the Characteristics of Levels is given credit, unless this feature is expressly designated as not eligible for Level in the present Communication or in the Handbook for Technical Panels (for example, in a Dance Spin, the Technical Panel can give credit for Level to a variation of Basic Position Camel which is not included in the list of examples, but cannot give credit to a simple camel by the lady.) 12. The definition of intricate when referring to technical elements does not necessarily mean difficult. It can also be defined as creative, interesting and unique. 16

17 4.2. PATTERN DANCE ELEMENTS ADDITIONAL PRINCIPLES OF CALLING 1. The process used by the Technical Panel to identify Key Points and their correct execution is the same process as for identification of Required Elements and Levels (i.e. by majority). Correct or incorrect execution of Key Points is reported on the Judges Details per Skater chart as: - Yes : meaning, all Key Point Features are met and all Edges/Steps are held for the required number of beats, or - Timing : meaning, all Key Points Features are met but one or several Edges/Steps are not held for the required number of beats, or - No : meaning, one or several Key Point Features are not met, whether or not Edges/Steps are held for the correct number of beats. 2. Evaluating the percentage of steps for Pattern Dances is based on the total number of steps completed. 3. Evaluating the percentage of steps for a Step Sequence or Pattern Dance Type Step Sequence is based on the overall pattern completed per the prescribed shape, i.e. straight line, circle/s-shape, diagonal, etc. 4. If a Fall or interruption occurs at the entrance to or during a Pattern Dance Element and the element is immediately resumed, the element shall be identified and given a Level according to the requirements met before and after the Fall or interruption, or No Level if the requirements for Level 1 are not met. 5. If a couple has an interruption (through stumble, falls, etc) of more than 4 beats, the Technical Specialist calls the Key Points as performed (Yes, No, Timing), identifies with the Pattern Dance Element Name and Level 1 adding downgraded. It is reported on the Judges Details per Skater chart as: << to indicate an interruption of more than 4 beats. 6. If a couple completes less than 75% of the Pattern Dance Element, the Technical Specialist calls the Key Points as performed (Yes, No, Timing), identifies with the Pattern Dance Element Name and NO Level adding attention. 20 C o s t u m i In linea con il regolamento ISU, si sottolinea che i costumi di gara devono essere modesti, dignitosi e appropriati a competizioni sportive di giovani atleti quindi non sgargianti o teatrali. I costumi devono tuttavia riflettere il carattere della musica che viene pattinata. In particolare: le ragazze devono indossare la gonna e non devono dare il senso di eccessiva nudità. I ragazzi devono indossare pantaloni lunghi e non aderenti. sono consentiti accessori. Le decorazioni / parti del costume devono essere ben attaccate al vestito. I costumi che non rispettano queste caratteristiche saranno penalizzati con una detrazione del pannello giudicante. Se parte del costume / decorazione dovesse cadere sul ghiaccio durante il programma di gara sarà applicata una detrazione di 0.5 punti dal referee. 20
