L identità di luogo si genera attraverso l incontro tra l architettura e le persone che l attraversano. L architettura suscita sensazioni ed emozioni alle persone, che rispondono attribuendole un senso intimo, un significato solido. Così, un luogo, si distingue dal più grande spazio indifferenziato. Tutto ciò che rende un luogo unico e riconoscibile è la sua capacità di relazionarsi con le persone e far nascere in loro un sentimento di appartenenza e attaccamento empatico.
