General nformaton 1.5 Intended use under drect sunlght use the equpment outdoors wthout protecton from water and weather agents. use the equpment n locatons at rsk of exploson and/ or fre classfed as follows: Zone 0 1; use the equpment f, n the event of rare malfunctons, ts temperature exceeds 100 C; use the equpment wth flammable gases and fumes classfed as I and IIC. ntegrate other systems and/or equpment not ncluded by the manufacturer n the executve desgn; use commercal equpment for a purpose other than the one ntended by the manufacturer; use the equpment only n the assembly postons and accordng to the servce factors specfed by the manufacturer that reserves the rght to recalculate and nform the requestng party on each job order. LIMITATIONS: Follow the lmtatons related to techncal data, constructon, assembly postons and related ol quanttes as detaled n the followng chapters for each reducton gear The optons and accessores specfed n secton 1.9 are forbdden. WARNING: All the operatons concernng handlng, nstallaton, assembly, mantenance and replacement of parts must be carred out n the absence of an explosve atmosphere. Strct reference must be made to the fre preventon plan or to the fre preventon assessment of the factory where the reducton gears are nstalled: the area must be equpped wth fre fghtng equpment. 1.6 Stuazon d percolo 1.6 Dangerous stuatons Durante l funzonamento d ogn untà s possono trovare part rotant, mobl, scoperte, sotto tensone o surrscaldate che possono causare leson grav o morte. Per evtare dann a cose o persone è necessaro che tutte le operazon d movmentazone, stoccaggo, nstallazone, utlzzo, manutenzone, rparazone e smontaggo sano svolte da personale specalzzato nel rspetto delle struzon rportate su questo manuale e delle norme d scurezza vgent. S raccomanda d evtare l nstallazone d prodott danneggat o che presentno anomale. Durng the operaton of each unt, there may be rotatng, movable, exposed, lve or hot parts that could cause serous njury or death. To avod damage to property or personal njury, all handlng, storage, nstallaton, use, mantenance, repar and dsmantlng operatons must be performed by personnel traned to follow the nstructons set out n ths manual and exstng safety regulatons. 9 1. Informazon general 1.7 Avvertenze general d scurezza In questo captolo s affrontano pù n dettaglo alcune problematche nerent alle applcazone ATEX. I prodott Transtecno sono certfcat per la categora: II 2G Ex h IIB T4 Gb II 2D Ex h IIIB T135 C Db E obblgo dell utlzzatore verfcare a pror che l ambente d destnazone e l tpo d applcazone sano conform al suddetto lvello ATEX. Talune commesse saranno accompagnate da una scheda d nstallazone; essa ntegra (ed ha prortà su) dat d questo manuale. Verfcare attentamente dat d targhetta e NON procedere se ess non sano adeguat all ambente e all applcazone. E severamente vetato utlzzare l appareccho a carch, servz, condzon ambental, e poszon d montaggo eccedent/dvers quell ndcat dal costruttore. Le poszon d montaggo n relazone al lvello d lubrfcante devono essere rspettate al fne d mantenere lubrfcat gl ngranagg. Verfcare che alber lent, lnguette e organ meccanc estern sano ben ngrassat second dat d questo manuale. Non avvare se tal part non sono ngrassate. Per garantre adeguata equpotenzaltà tra motore elettrco e rduttore, assemblare l rduttore senza nterporre solant tra la flanga del motore e quella del rduttore. Non usare vt rcoperte, ma ammettere peno contatto metallo con metallo. S predlga usare le vt fornte a corredo dal costruttore. Connettere l motore alla rete d terra n manera effcace ed adeguata. L nstallatore deve adottare adeguate soluzon per evtare l epsoszone a fulmn, ed eventualmente effcac sstem d protezone da medesm. L nstallatore deve evtare esposzone dretta dell attrezzatura a ragg solar, ed evtare materal d protezone trasparent che possano produrre l effetto lente e amplfcare le onde elettromagnetche. L nstallatore deve rferrs n manera scrupolosa al pano antcncendo o alla valutazone antncendo dello stablmento; l area dell nstallazone deve essere dotata d mezz d estnzone. Alla prma nstallazone e durante l uso dell attrezzatura verfcare perodcamente l lvello d lubrfcante attraverso la specola (oblò d lvello). Qualora non sa vsble, arrestare mmedamente la macchna e provvedere al rabbocco, come da struzon, oppure contattare Transtecno. 1. General nformaton 1.7 General safety warnngs In ths chapter some problems nherent to ATEX applcatons are addressed n more detal. Transtecno products are certfed for the category: II 2G Ex h IIB T4 Gb II 2D Ex h IIIB T135 C Db It s the user's oblgaton to verfy n advance that the target envronment and the type of applcaton comply wth the aforementoned ATEX level. Some orders wll be accompaned by an nstallaton sheet; t ntegrates (and has prorty over) the data n ths manual. Carefully check the data on the plate and DO NOT proceed f they are not sutable for the envronment and applcaton. It s strctly forbdden to use the devce wth loads, servces, envronmental condtons, and mountng postons exceedng / other than those ndcated by the manufacturer. The mountng postons n relaton to the lubrcant level must be respected n order to keep the gears lubrcated. Check that slow shafts, keys and external mechancal parts are properly greased accordng to the data n ths manual. Do not start f these parts are not greased. To ensure adequate equpotentalty between the electrc motor and the reducer, assemble the gearbox wthout nterposng nsulators between the motor flange and that of the reducer. Do not use coated screws, but allow full metal -to-metal contact. We prefer to use the screws suppled by the manufacturer. Connect the motor to the earth network n an effectve and adequate way. The nstaller must adopt adequate solutons to avod exposure to lghtnng, and possbly effectve protecton systems from the same. The nstaller must avod drect exposure of the equpment to sunlght, and avod transparent protectve materals that can produce the lens effect and amplfy the electromagnetc waves. The nstaller must scrupulously refer to the fre preventon plan or the fre assessment of the establshment; the nstallaton area must be equpped wth extngushng mea Upon frst nstallaton and durng use of the equpment, perodcally check the lubrcant level through the sght glass (level porthole). If t s not vsble, stop the machne mmedately and top up t, as per nstructons, or contact Transtecno. 9

10 1. Informazon general 1.7 Avvertenze general d scurezza Evtare accumlo d polvere sull attrezzatura: esso mpedsce la dspersone del calore e produce condzon d nnesco delle polver stesse. Alcun rduttor possono arrvare normalmenre a 70 C sulla superfce, e anche oltre, durante l normale funzonamento: evtare che l operatore possa entrare n contatto con le part superfcal. Alcun rduttor sono dotat d doppa uscta: proteggere dal contatto l uscta non utlzzata. INSTALLATION 3.1 General nformaton Before nstallng the gearmotors, ensure that: The nformaton on the nameplate matches the product ordered; The connectng surfaces and shafts are thoroughly clean and undamaged; The surfaces on whch the gearmotor s to be nstalled are perfectly flat and suffcently rgd; The machne shaft and gearmotor shaft are correctly algned; Torque-lmtng systems have been nstalled f the machne s expected to suffer mpact or blockage durng operaton; The necessary safety guards have been ftted to sheld rotatng parts; Approprate coverng has been provded to protect aganst atmospherc agents f the nstallaton s exposed to adverse weather condtons; The workng envronment s not corrosve (unless ths has been stated when placng the order so that the approprate gearmotor can be provded for ths use); Any pnons or pulleys mounted on the gearmotor s output or nput shafts are correctly ftted so as not to generate radal and/or axal loads that exceed those permssble; All connectons have been treated wth adequate antoxdant protecton to prevent any contact oxdaton; All fxng screws have been properly tghtened. If applcable, check that the gearmotor has the correct quantty of ol to sut ts mountng poston. that none of the gearmotor walls s damaged as regards pantwork or any other part or component of the gearmotor; that no remnants of packagng are attached to the gearmotor; that there are no traces of corroson, ol leaks or drt on any of the gearmotor s surfaces or components; that the nameplate s clearly vsble and undamaged and comples wth the requred ATEX Regulatons; that ths documentaton s always legble and kept near the gearmotor. Otherwse: do not nstall and contact Transtecno srl If the above condtons have been met, then the followng actons must be performed: Usng the approprate lubrcants, grease all of the connectons between steel parts that come nto contact wth each other, both sldng and fxed. Pant all of the gearmotor s machned and unpanted surfaces that have not been used. Mount the gearmotor (f applcable) only n the mountng poston stated n the nameplate. Allow suffcent space around the gearmotor to enable the ar to flow freely so as to prevent the buld-up of heat or overheatng Do not convey hot exhaust ar from other devces to the gearmotor 14

82 7. Messa n servzo 7.1 Rsch resdu Prma della messa n servzo controllare sempre che l lvello dell olo, ove prevst tapp d lvello, sa conforme alla poszone d montaggo. Verfcare l assenza d perdte o trasudazon d lubrfcante. Verfcare, ove prevsto, che la poszone d montaggo del rduttore sa conforme a quella descrtta n targhetta. Verfcare che la tensone d almentazone del motore sa conforme a quella descrtta nella targhetta del motore. Dopo alcune ore d funzonamento a regme accertars che l gruppo non super la temperature superfcale specfcata n targhetta nel suo punto pù caldo; n caso contraro fermare l gruppo e contattare l nostro servzo tecnco. Accertars che la temperature dell ambente non ecceda lmt d utlzzo del rduttore. Accertars che non s avvertano rumorostà e/o vbrazon 7. Puttng nto servce 7.1 Resdual rsks Before puttng the gearmotor nto servce, always check that the ol level, f level plugs are provded, comples wth the mountng poston. Check that there are no leaks or seepage of lubrcant. If necessary, check that the mountng poston of the gearmotor matches that stated n the nameplate. Check that the motor s supply voltage matches that stated n the motor s nameplate After a few hours operaton at full speed, ensure that the unt does not exceed the surface temperature, stated on the nameplate, at ts hottest pont; f t does, swtch off the unt and contact our Techncal Department. Ensure that the ambent temperature does not exceed the gearmotor s operatng lmts. Be sure there are not nose and/or vbratons 7.2 Avvamento 7.2 Start-up La messa n funzone deve avvenre n modo graduale, evtando d applcare mmedatamente l carco massmo rchesto dalla macchna, per evtare e correggere eventual anomale present a causa d un errata applcazone. Il rodaggo non è condzone essenzale per un buon funzonamento del rduttore, n quanto le moderne tecnche d costruzone degl ngranagg e delle fuson, l elevata pulza degl organ ntern e le ottme caratterstche de lubrfcant mpegat garantscono una scura protezone de component ntern anche nelle prme fas d lavoro. Start-up must be a gradual process, avodng mmedate applcaton of the maxmum load requred by the machne, so as to prevent and correct any anomales due to ncorrect applcaton. Runnng-n s not an essental requrement for proper operaton of the gearmotor because the modern constructon technques adopted n the desgn of the gears and castngs, the extremely clean nternal parts and the excellent lubrcaton characterstcs guarantee relable protecton of the nternal components even durng the ntal operatng stages. 7.3 Rodaggo Solo per rduttor a vte senza fne della sere CM, CMP, CMM, CMPU, CL, CWT, POK, FT030/050 ed RH030/050 è necessaro un prmo perodo d rodaggo per raggungere l rendmento a regme. Se l rduttore funzonerà n entramb sens d rotazone l rodaggo sarà da esegure n entramb sens. In questo prmo perodo s potrebbero rscontrare assorbment d corrente e conseguente temperature superfcal maggor rspetto a regme. Il perodo d rodaggo è legato sa alle caratterstche meccanche d ogn rduttore che al cclo d lavoro a cu è sottoposto. 7.3 Runnng-n Only the worm gearmotors of the CM, CMP, CMM, CMPU, CL, CWT, POK, FT030/050 and RH030/050 Seres requre an ntal runnng-n perod to acheve effcency at full power. If the gearmotor s to operate n both drectons of rotaton, t must be run n n both drectons. Durng ths ntal perod, there may be hgher current draws and resultng surface temperatures than durng full-power operaton. The runnng-n perod s lnked both to the mechancal characterstcs of each gearmotor and to the work cycle mposed. 82

Qualsas manomssone del gruppo senza l autorzzazone d Transtecno fa decadere la garanza e spesso rende gnote le cause che hanno determnato un dfetto o un malfunzonamento. Nel captolo Poszon d montaggo ammesse è mostrata la poszone de tapp d sfato, lvello e scarco per ogn poszone d montaggo d ogn rduttore. Poszonare un recpente al d sotto del tappo d scarco. Svtare l tappo d sfato e successvamente l tappo d scarco. Svuotare completamente l olo all nterno del rduttore. Sostture la guarnzone del tappo d scarco con una nuova. Inserre la gusta quanttà d olo all nterno del rduttore e verfcare che abba raggunto l tappo d lvello. Avvtare nuovamente l tappo d sfato. Fare attenzone a non utlzzare ol al d fuor d quell omologat da Transtecno. Fare attenzone a non ntrodurre accdentalmente alcun resduo esterno all nterno del rduttore. Per lo smaltmento del lubrfcante esausto atteners alle norme local n vgore. 8.3 Lubrcant replacement For gearmotors that requre ol change, conduct the work by abherng to all safety rule and followng nstructons and ntervals provded n ths manual. Secton Allowed assembly poston shows the poston of the breather plug, fllng plug and dranage plug for each mountng poston of each gearmotor. (page 9) Place a contaner beneath the dran plug. Unscrew the breather plug and then the dran plug. Empty all the ol from the gearmotor. Replace the dran plug seal wth a new one. Secton Allowed assembly poston gves the quanttes of ol of each gearmotor for each mountng poston. Pour the correct quantty of ol nto the gearmotor and check that t has reached the ol level plug. Screw the breather plug back n. Take care not to use ols other than those approved by Transtecno. Take care not to accdentally ntroduce any external resdue nto the gearmotor. 89 10. GARANZIA Transtecno garantsce la buona qualtà de prodott fornt, la garanza è valda per dodc mes dalla data d rcevmento de prodott. Qualsas reclamo relatvo a vz o dfett de prodott, dovrà essere noltrato entro otto gorn dalla data della scoperta del vzo stesso. Durante la durata della garanza, Transtecno garantsce presso l propro stablmento o n qualsas altro luogo ndcato da Transtecno, la rparazone o la sosttuzone a suo nsndacable gudzo, de component rsultat dfettos. La garanza comprende cost che Transtecno dovrà sostenere n termn d mano d opera e d materale per rprstnare l corretto funzonamento del prodotto. La garanza non copre tutt gl altr cost come, cost d spedzone della merce, cost d vaggo e soggorno del personale d assstenza Transtecno per le rparazon da effettuars sul posto ed nfne cost per dpendent stess del Clente. La rparazone de prodott, non determna una nuova decorrenza della garanza stessa. ESCLUSIONI DELLA GARANZIA La garanza Transtecno non opererà con rfermento a que prodott cu dfett sano rconducbl a: Uso neglgente o mpropro; Dann causat dall acqua; Dann dovut a trasport; Dann dovut ad applcazon non prevste; Dann dovut a Intervent o rparazon esegute dal clente o da personale non autorzzato Transtecno; Dann dovut a funzonamento n condzon ambental non prevste; Dann dovut a component soggett a normale usura (anell d tenuta, spazzole motor elettrc n corrente contnua, ecc.); Mancata conformtà alle specfche e normatve relatve alla macchna sulla quale prodott Transtecno vengano nstallat. WARRANTY Transtecno guarantees the good qualty of the products suppled, the warranty s vald for twelve months from the date of recept of goods. Any complants about defects of the products, must be submtted wthn eght days from the date of dscovery of the defect tself. Durng the warranty perod, Transtecno guarantees at ts plant or n any other place he ndcated, the repar or replacement at ts own dscreton, the faulty components. The warranty covers the costs that Transtecno wll have to support about labor and materals needed to restore the proper functonng of the product. Warranty does not cover other costs such as the costs of shppng the goods, costs of travel and accommodaton of Transtecno servce personnel for repars to be carred out on ste and fnally the costs for employees of the customer. EXCLUSION OF WARRANTIES Transtecno s warranty does not cover product faults attrbutable to: Neglgent use or msuse; Damage caused by water Damage due to shppng; Damage due to applcatons not provded; Damage due to nterventons or repars carred out by persons not authorsed by Transtecno Damage due to operaton n envronmental condtons not foreseen; Damage due to components subject to normal wear (sealng rngs, brushes for DC electrc motors, etc.)non -complance wth the specfcatons and regulatons relatng to the machne on whch the Transtecno products are nstalled.
