Please find the Parent Feedback Survey attached to the mail in case you haven t had the chance to send in your comments! You have time until Wednesday, May 27 to hand it in to our office. We are working on a brand new website for our school! Progetto per il nuovo sito internet IS Modena e Gruppo ISE mercoledì 27 maggio verrà realizzato un servizio fotografico professionale per catturare il nostro unico ambiente educativo. Stiamo lavorando per un nuovo sito internet per la nostra scuola! IMPORTANT NOTICE BUS SERVICE: an employee from AMNE will be in school from 14:30 to 15:15 on Thursday May 28 th and from 14:00 to 15:00 on Friday June 5 th to have parents sign the bus contracts for 2015/16. All parents who wish to apply for the bus service are kindly asked to confirm with the office and come into school on one of these dates at the given times to sign the contract. 2 News & coming up Sports Day - Friday June 5 th Things to know: Location: Football pitch, in front of ISM (Montale) Roller Bar sports facilities Whole school Kindergarten to Grade 11 From 8.30am to 12.30pm PARENTS WELCOME FROM 9 AM From 12.30pm BBQ at ISM (BBQ sponsored by PTA ) Students to wear something that is the colour of the team that they are in (e.g. a t- shirt, hat, socks, etc.) in case they have nothing they need their PE kit Students must have sports wear on (e.g. no jeans, converse shoes, etc.), sunscreen & hat recommended. 4 STUDENT COUNCIL & ISM SPONSORED RUN Dear parents, To assist CEFA in raising money for young girls scholarships in Guatemala, the Student Council has decided to hold a Sponsored Run at 8:30 on Monday the 22 nd of June (at the beginning of the school day). Participating students will run laps around the playground for a maximum duration of 30 minutes, with the Student Council keeping track of how many laps they complete. If your child wants to participate, we encourage you to support them by selecting a small sum of money of your choice that will be paid for each lap they complete (e.g. 0.10). To facilitate this, we have prepared some Sponsorship Cards which you or your child may pick up from the entrance this week, which you can keep and use to register how much money each family member will be sponsoring. Finally, to sign-up for the Sponsored Run, your child can add their name to the list of participants in the entrance before Friday the 12th of June At the end of the event, the Student Council will distribute a certificate indicating how many laps have been run; based on this you may send the money with the children to school by Wednesday, June 24 th. Thank you for your co-operation, The Student Council Gentili genitori, Per assistere CEFA nel loro progetto di raccogliere fondi per le borse di studio per giovani ragazze in Guatemala, il Consiglio Studentesco ha deciso di tenere una Corsa Sponsorizzata, lunedì 22 giugno alle 8:30, durante la prima parte della giornata scolastica. Gli studenti che scelgono di partecipare correranno intorno al cortile della scuola per una durata massima di 30 minuti, mentre il Consiglio Studentesco terrà conto di quanti giri sono statti corsi. Se Vostro figlio/a desidera partecipare, Vi incoraggiamo di sostenerli donando una somma piccola a Vostra scelta per ogni giro di corsa, per esempio 0,10. Per agevolare questo, abbiamo preparato delle Carte di Sponsorizzazione che potete prelevare all entrata della scuola questa settimana e che potrete tenere per segnare quanto ogni membro della famiglia sponsorizzerà. Finalmente, per iscriversi alla corsa, Vostro figlio potrà aggiungere il suo nome alla lista di partecipanti entro venerdì 12 giugno Alla fine dell evento, il Consiglio Studentesco distribuirà un certificato specificando quanti giri sono stati corsi; a secondo di questo potrete inviare i soldi a scuola con i ragazzi entro mercoledì 24 giugno. 6 Reminders SCHOOL UNIFORM & THE SUN - THE HEAT HAS ARRIVED! Please remember: to put sun cream on your children or give them some to keep at school and make sure they have a hat. Students can wear the new summer uniform or our white PE shirt instead of the blue shirt on hot days. Also please ensure that your children are wearing appropriate shoes (flip-flops/thongs can be dangerous when moving around the school). Shorts: students can wear shorts to school during the hot weather but they should be dark/blue. Shorts should also be of an appropriate length (mid-thigh), even with leggings underneath. Hot pants (beach shorts) are not appropriate in the school setting. Trousers with holes are not allowed in school. UNIFORME SCOLASTICA & SOLE IL CALDO E ARRIVATO! Ricordatevi di applicare la crema solare ai vostri figli o di darne loro una confezione da portare a scuola e assicuratevi che abbiano con sé un cappellino. Gli studenti possono indossare la nuova uniforme estiva oppure la nostra t-shirt bianca da ginnastica invece della classica polo blu nei giorni più caldi. Fate anche in modo che i bambini indossino scarpe adatte (le infradito non sono adatte e possono essere pericolose quando camminano in giro per la scuola). Shorts: gli studenti possono indossare pantaloncini corti quando fa caldo, a patto che siano blu o neri. Inoltre i pantaloncini devono essere di lunghezza appropriata (a metà coscia) anche se indossati sui leggings. Gli hot pants (pantalonicini da mare)non sono indumenti appropriati per scuola. I pantaloni con buchi non sono ammessi a scuola.

8 REMINDERS PLEASE ENSURE ALL ITEMS ARE LABELLED WITH YOUR CHILD S NAME Except for the very young children, we expect the students to keep track of their own belongings. Please discuss this with them. If your child arrives home with clothing or something else that belongs to another student, please return it to school the next day. A lost property (Lost & Found Box) is located in the storage room near the Auditorium, feel free to check it for missing items and please keep it tidy. ASSICURATEVI CHE TUTTI I CAPI SIANO ETICHETTATI CON IL NOME DI VOSTRO FIGLIO Ad eccezione dei bambini molto piccoli, ci aspettiamo che gli studenti tengano controllati i loro effetti personali. Discutetene con Vostro figlio. Se Vostro figlio arriva a casa con abbigliamento o altri oggetti che appartengono ad altri studenti, siete pregati di restituirli a scuola il giorno seguente. Gli oggetti smarriti (Scatola degli Oggetti Smarriti) si trovano nel ripostiglio vicino all Auditorium, controllate liberamente e mantenetelo in ordine. PARKING AREA All parents must use the public parking area outside the school gate at all times. Please remember to lock your cars and please make sure you don t leave any personal belongings in the car. Internal parking area is reserved for staff only and the bus service. PARCHEGGIO ESTERNO Tutti i genitori devono utilizzare sempre il parcheggio all esterno del cancello. Ricordatevi di chiudere le portiere dell auto e non lasciate borse e borsette in macchina. Il parcheggio interno è riservato allo staff e ai bus scolastici.
