Cos è l IBMDR Fondato nel 1989 presso l E.O. Ospedali Galliera di Genova è il Registro Nazionale Donatori di Midollo Osseo. La sua finalità è: procurare ai pazienti in attesa di trapianto di Cellule Staminali Ematopoietiche e privi di un familiare compatibile, un volontario, estraneo alla famiglia, con caratteristiche immunogenetiche tali da consentire il trattamento terapeutico con elevate probabilità di successo.
